WOW II love 80's Rush. There I said it I am a child of the 80's . I saw them on Signals, Power Windows Hold Your Fire, and Roll The bones THis is one of my favorite tracks. GREAT JOB!!!!
Rocky is back and delivering the Goods!!! Just found a link to Mood Lifters and there she was!! Doing Rush and doing it better!! So glad to see you back Rocky,
I’ve seen Rush twice in my life. The latest was at the MGM in Las Vegas in 2007 or somewhere around that time. One of the best rock bands I’ve ever seen
Giving some love to one of Rush's most underappreciated songs. And doing a great rendition of it too. Ben King nailed the tricky solo, and I loved Rocky doing the "whoa" (my favorite part of the song, actually). Just so no one feels left out -- Isamu and Mat are virtuosos themselves. Rush is tough music to cover, and you all nail it song after song.
@@MoodLiftersRushTribute im usually turned off by rush cover bands bc usually the male singers end up sounding silly trying so hard to sound like geddy. Shes just using her normal singing voice which makes it MUCH more tolerable to listen to.
@@trenken Yep, Geddy is no easy task for sure, but Rocky is so well suited for it. Her ability to sing in his range gives her the freedom beyond just hitting the notes - she conveys the meanings of the songs the way Rush intended, and its moving.
and failed to mention that the lyrics to this particular Rush track are lyrics that I’ve carried with me over decades of time and still ring true…particularly the style over substance metaphor, and it gets a bit worse with each generation as we seldom take the time to process more than a TikTok video’s length of dialogue without forming shallow opinions based on a very narrow thesis. A to B…different degrees…
So I just played this loud again several times in the house with the Subwoofer on and I have to say, I need to travel out from Chicago to see you all play this live very soon ! Rocky you were absolutely AWESOME on vocals for this ! I love your tone and vibrato you give to this one. Please keep this one in your setlist. Great job Mood Lifters !
Wow how did I not know about this? Became a fan of Rocky with the last band... after she was gone??? Still a great band but my appreciation was mainly for Rocky.
Sounds incredible! So good to see rocky again, I remember from YYNOT but then she just disappeared and I didn't know what she was up to. Also seeing ben in here is awesome too! Its so awesome to see all these people ive seen in youtube at one time or another playing together!
@@MoodLiftersRushTribute Ive seen your videos on your personal channel. Always enjoyed the detail you put into it. Believe me I know its not easy. Great to see you rocking with Rocky on stage. Good chemistry.
Rad. I'm local and just discovered you guys. You're paying homage to Rush the way it should. Not an easy task. Do you guys play any of these tunes? Oh, I'd be so happy. I think these are so underrated and it's a shame Rush didn't play them much. I'll check you out next show. Afterimage Open Secrets Lock and Key Red Sector A Bravado Roll The Bones Leave That Thing Alone Witch Hunt Mystic Rhythms
Thanks Vorgaloth! We have played Afterimage. RTB and Mystic Rhythms (see our RUclips channel for vids of each of those, albeit with our former singer!). Our bassist/guitarist performed most of the others in their prior Rush trib, Xanadoodz. We are gradually adding new songs from all Rush eras, and many of these will be heard at future shows!
love this ...sounds amazing - ...have a funny idea - one concert you should all dress in the early Rush Japanese kimonos along with using long 70s hair wigs ...etc.
Hey all, GREAT job on this one ! Wish I could check out the whole show. Well shot and recorded. Rocky, outstanding capturing the spirit of the vocals here. You already have the higher-end on your vocals, but your control on your lower to mid register now is excellently notable giving you so much more to work with in your vocal presentation. Great vibrato in there too. Great job ! I enjoyed this performance.
love it! probably my favorite album. You guys should consider " Open Secrets" , it's pretty fantastic and you obviously love this era of Rush, and what's not to love?
Great song choice and excellent performance. Not bad participation by the audience, that's about as much "dancing" you can expect. Although, New World Man, may be better to get those Rush fans moving and shaking. LOL. Thanks for sharing.
Damn I love Rocky's voice! I don't understand the Pattyheads. Grueling the songs vs. pristine essence. "Some are mearly spaced" indeed. So nice to have a vid with such clear sound from the Mood Lifters - very well balanced and Rocky's vocs soar!
That’s too bad you can’t get over the fact that the two singers are just different. I love Rocky on all three CD’s. I’ve loved Patty since before YYNOT with her band the Mayhaps and her solo work on YT. I don’t really care whether you understand “Pattyheads” or not. The difference also comes in the form of stage presence. I’ll leave it at that. They both have completely different styles. BTW, the story behind the whole breakup is messy. I’ve got the whole email trail from start to finish. Sad affair.
Pretty groovy. Kudos to your synth programmer. Assembled a nice rendition. Original recording is swimming in synth and hard to reproduce. (curse you Peter Collins lol) Nice job
Excellent performance of one of my favorite Rush tunes!
Ben floors me with his solos. They are so spot on with the original recordings.
Thanks Mav - from Ben!
Yeah. He's really good.
Rocky!

No shame - there are lots more like you Darren! Thanks.
Rocky's professionally trained voice shines no matter what she sings.
80/90 Rush...we do very well !!🤘🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏
Oh Goodness Gracious Yes! Nailed it!
excellent cover of a very good Rush forgotten song
That was fkn badasssssss!!!!!!!!
I'm so happy to see Rocky back and singing Rush songs. Mood Lifters is a good Rush cover band.
Another great hair-raising experience on my arm 💪Another great song and another geat performance 👏 👌 🙌
Thanks!
I love that you do songs that others don't. You sound great!
Hearing this again for the first time 36 years later
I recognize the real thing
That comes along once in a while
👍👍👍👍
Thanks Bill! Every time we play it, I relive the "moment" of hearing this song live for the first time on that Power Windows tour. Love that moment!
I learned this song the day I snapped a plastic off the album now you know it better than me now I'm mad at you good job keep up the good work
I love how Rocky's voice has matured over the years. Great cover guys.

This is awesome! My favorite Rush song!
impressive. Rocky looks a lot more comfortable here.
Bravo 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Is that Rocky! Great version
Sure is!
THAT WAS F*CKING GREAT !!
Guitar and bass at solo are ofp. Great!
Damn good bass.
As a Rush fan who loves their entire catalog, I am really blown away at how well you do it all. Really well done!
Can get over how good this sounds
Thanks! We have a studio version coming down the pike on Songs For Neil Vol. V! And a video to boot. Stay tuned!
Holy Crap did you guys NAIL THAT! And that voice.... She is Perfect! You have to keep her..
That's the plan! Thanks!
Oh my goodness, I absolutely love this band. I know it's not a contest, but if it was, I would take Mood Lifters over YYNOT. Rocky is the best.
Awesome. Band sounds rad.
As a lifelong Rush fan, my first Rush concert was in middle school in 1981, I love your band. You need to put a video out with your entire show.
Rocky is back and delivering the Goods!!! Just found a link to Mood Lifters and there she was!! Doing Rush and doing it better!! So glad to see you back Rocky,

Nailed it. Against the run of the mill. 👍

Rocky Super Rocky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Respect to your singer and respect to the band and respect that they didn't fail the most difficult outro ever in my opinion
Not an easy tune to replicate. Kudos
Great!!!
Great job! Magnificent! Rocky rules! ✌️🎸💚
Eu amo o Power Windows. 💗
YYNOT? Because ROCKY!!!! That's why-why-NOT!!!
Awesome performance. This band is great!!
That was absolutely FANTASTIC! That voice. Every musician did this song justice. Again tho, that voice.
Whoa, spot on performance of this great song. Great job, bravo.
Thanks!
NICE!!!
Some of the more complex Rush songs were from this era. Nobody else attempts these songs for a reason. Wonderful job!!
Great version of an underrated Rush song
I love how Roto-toms are making a comeback. Great job, guys!
Wow 😮❤
Absolutely flawless performance.

Freaking hell, you guys nailed it!
Excellent 👍
Man that guitarist sounds AMAZING! What a tone. She sounds great too. Shes definitely one of the better ive heard trying to cover geddys vocals.
Thank you - from the Mood Lifters AND guitarist Ben!

Guitar work here is unbelievable! This is unmatched by anyone other than Alex. I'm just a lowly drummer but even i can recognize guitar brilliance.
Thank you (from Ben)! Don't betray the drummer brother/sisterhood - you're not lowly!
Great Job! Nice detail!

Love it. "Mission", too, would suit you very well, for obvious reasons.

It’s like a version the Bangels might have done if they wrote it in the 80’s. Very cool vibe about it.
Fantastic job, y'all!
