7.75 is OG. That's what I ride. Back in the day only skaters to rock bigger than a 7.75 were vert skaters. Now it's normal to ride a 8 and above in the street.
Had to switch to venture high. Better king pin clearance and I am old, tall and play football for a living. Too much wheel bite happenin' for this Dog. I ain't carvin bowls. I've stil got love for the street. Crooks, feebles, smiths, slides, 360 flips etc. The straight 8. 42, 6'1" 215lbs. Shred til your dead.
Small board gang! I’ve skated 8’s a lot but I’m gonna be sizing down incrementally I just got a 7.75 by 31.125 Girl board. I like small boards cuz I’m small for one thing and I like being able to just fling around a tre flip and stuff. Tres on my 8x32 I have now can take some elbow grease. Cheers Manny!
7.75 gang rise up 🙌 Edit: I’m with you on not wanting to switch trucks. Unfortunately my axels are beat to shit and it’s becoming impossible to get the nut on and off when switching wheels (and I think the mounting holes in my base plates are starting to warp), so I’ll have no choice but to re-up next time I get a new deck. 😰
I rode either 7.75 or 7.8 pretty much weekly long time ago in 2013-2018 I guess. Then I sized up to 8.0 and was even more on and off skating and ended up selling the full setup in 2020’s pandemic. Until the end of 2021 I decided to skate again and more regularly (still in the weekend). I got 8.125. Not bad tho, more room for error when tryna land tricks. But now I guess I’m going back to 7.8 for old times sake.
These are satisfying to watch 😅 my niece just started skating 3 weeks ago and I said I would buy her a custom one if I know she’s serious about skateboarding
That's all I skated when I started skating back in 1999, was 7.75. I tried 7.63 but that was a little bit too thin, then I went to 7.8 and that's all I skated for a bit. Then I went to 8.0 and now I'm skating 8.25. I just do basic tricks. But I do have to say with a bigger board it's more fun to grind and slide and skate transition. But I pretty much lost all my flip tricks with a bigger board. I might have to go back to my roots since I'm getting old now and get a set of 7.75 trucks and a 7.75 board to relive the past❤. I'm sure I will have more control of the board plus it will be way lighter since my current setup I'm running regular independent trucks.
i tried those bearings bc i saw them on clearance at zumiez. Abec-9= super smooth/tight tolerances races to ball ratio. BUUUT once they get a lil dirty the QUALITY of your experience will diminish. The bearings are TAYLOR made for indoor/private park skating and contests. After a few sessions out doors or a few puddles/water mixing with the grease they tend to turn into any would be AVG range bearing as far as speed/wall to wall combos/lines in a flow/transition park. BUT when theyre fresh Definitely better than a majority of bearings ive tried at their "sale" price point. Hell even at 25$ theyre smoother/faster than bronsons, bones reds, indy abec 7's etc. At that 20-25$ price point. The only better option at that price range is the bones big balls/6 ball reds. Which are also pretty good/decent up until they get dry/crusty/worn. IMO THOUGH the 6 balls are much more resiliant by a MILE compared to the abec-9 nothing specials NGL im talking monthly speed cream applications and opening them up to clean them out and air/electric air dry them or blow dry them with the cold setting on a blowdryer...IF you want that same OUT of the box performance. TO damn tedioius and they demand too much attention. Then again bones reds only really last a YEAR max....if not 3-6m if you dont maintain them as far as PEAK speed/performance otherwise the races get MARRED and have a tendency to chatter/get jerky in transition doing bigger airs/transfers...youll notice these things doing airs the way the wheels grip/smoothness as you land into a transition if your bearings need maintenance or are past the point of being re-conditioned....youll have this jerky/hesitation with your speed/transfer...and it ruins wall to wall/speed/flow. Still though out of the box theyre very fast/smooth very good for flow/transition skating they keep speed really good if you like doing multi trick lines in your local/blowl/flow section. The 6 ball reds just are equally smooth and just as fast if your landing into transitions/transfers/speed pumping. And stay smoother/faster/longer. But i got the diegos and the robert neals for like 10$ each....so i cant complain. Put the diegos on a mini cruiser for a kids first setup with some ricta clouds...very smooth/fast setup.
Hahaha you really don’t change your trucks. I’ve been on thunder Lo 14 lites since they came out almost 20 years ago. Good luck in the Swiss Olympic trials qualy
I’m 7.75 myself small guy with small feet I have more control of tricks on a 7.75 and its more fun to me I tried going to a 8 and it’s not for me but I haven’t seen anybody do Slappy’s on a 7.75 but I heard that you’re still do them
Gnar I never notice your board so slim, I’m wit you on making your board light af. I do the same but I ride thunder hollows wit a size 8 board idk if I can go back to the 7.75 but idk I think it’s worth experimenting with after your insider knowledge. I seen you skate nd I know your the guy haha
If they are side cut aren't you supposed to have the graphics facing out? Typically you can't reverse them unless they are the same cut both sides... obviously will still work but that cut was designed for a reason... just curious
It's funny because in the late 90s early 2000s I skated a 8.25 and people made fun of me for skating an "ironing board" or a "surf board" lol now people others a hard time for skating a small board. People just love to hate! Lol
I skated 7.75 for about 20 years tried 8s and 8.25 but I feel like bigger size is unesesary for me. Too heavy and clumsy. Shoe size doesnt matter Im a size 10.5
If you’re on the shorter side of humans 7.75 sticks to your feet like glue and is generally more responsive to flips shuvs what ever you are trying to do. Manny just drops a size smaller for street than most. I ride 7.75 for street. It’s legit. Don’t have to think about how hard you have to scoop or flick. Lighter and more control too. 7.75 shorts were the only set up to have for street 20 years ago.
Always appreciate the videos. I don't think I could skate a 7.75. 8 is the smallest I have tied. Right now I skate 8.75. Best of luck at the preliminaries for the Olympics. I know you will crush it and represent your self, PR, and skateboarding with class and style as always. Stay Rad Sir.

Thank you Manny . Great video and all the best in the future 👍
That graphic is gorgeous. I'd have a hard time skating it. Definitely wall worthy.
Thank you!

7.75 all day is the best size board 💯🔥
Much love and respect to you and your channel Manny Santiago. ♾️💜
I’ve recently sized down to 7.75 as well. After riding 8 for a little over 10 years or so
Lets goooo
@@MannysWorld will this graphic get a 7.75 release?

Go for the gold bro! You got this!
Lately ive seen lots of folks down sizing on their boards..
sooner or later 8s & below will be a norm again in my opinion
I think so too
I'm one of those. 8.25 is just too heavy for me. Switching back to 8.0.
Venture Lo gang
Only real OGs ride 7.75 💯💯💯
Or people with size 6.5 foot
Aye shout out to the lil people cuz the kill skateboarding
It depends on anyone feet. Doesn’t matter what size it is. Duhhhh

I been on 7.75 my whole skate life im 33 now. I tried 8.25 but it felt like a land yacht i hated it. Size 11.5 and 7.75 is not too small for me
7.75 here too and loving it.

One day I’ll post a video

i like 7.75 cause its easy to flip
Love how you different brother 💞
I don't see the 7.75 on the site as an option, only 8.0. Are more coming?
I’m on a 7.5 girl reissue 😂😝

No they are equal on both sides
7.75 is perfect for flip tricks
Man if I didn’t skate a 8.65 I’d cop that graphic is intense
It comes in different sizes. All the way up to 9 I believe.
They make it in that size
Yeah I ended up googling it and found one in Tampa skate shop that size thanks
