I worked on this film back in 1990-1. It was originally 90 minutes. The last time I saw it 2005 with my kids it was 90 minutes. Unfortunately it has been cut to turn tables in 45 minutes rather than 90.
Originally, the film was suppose to be just background. The restaurant was high key lighting, fast food 50s style with roller skating car hops. So after the first three weeks, Disney realized the film was art, not background, as no one was leaving until they had watched the whole 90 minutes. So we received the call, that the film was beyond a success, the whole restaurant concept was changed. Low key lighting, more expensive gourmet hamburgers to justify the 90 minute meals.
The film was supposed to have a 5 year shelf life. Meaning it was expected to be replaced by 1996. This film will outlive me. I worked and work on many films, but nothing the plays for decades. It’s the most successful film of my career. A theme park film! And I have worked on some of the biggest films ever.

Thank you for putting up this loop. This is my absolute favorite place to eat. The food is not the best, but I can't get enough of the atmosphere. Listening to this in the background makes my work day go by a little faster.

Thank you!! We just made burgers for dinner and played this in the background as we ate our dinner to recreate a night on our vacation. This was perfect!!

I never been to Sci Fi Dine In, or Disney World at all for that matter. But with my love of B-Movies, I think I would love this place.

I like the idea Sci-Fi Dine in place at Disney World. Very creative and fun to eat inside a fake car and watch old movies.🍟🍟🍟🍿🍿🍿🍿🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍦🍦🍦

No, not that news we look at today. I'm talking about the news that was published in the 1950's and informs us of what technology will be like in the future, e.g. the next 40 or 50 years from today (2023).

This is how technology evolves... Nowadays, we have electronic devices (cellulars, tablets and gaming consoles), computers, tablet devices, personal computers (notebooks), etc. We're still living the technology age in 2023 during the difficult times of the pandemic we're facing.

Well, yes, you may be true. However, some of the news you'll see filmed in the 1950's may have advanced technology in households like ovens and microwaves that have a built-in menu so you never have to cook one single dinner meal again. But not in our house, though, we have a microwave that lets us have our dinner cooked the way as it is. And yes, it seems as if though we are living in the modern age of technology, though we must keep a memoir of the nostalgia.

      Kelly Crossley Right?!

Not likely, since such a file would be owned by Disney.
