“He looks so intimidatingly sexy” Congrats, you just perfectly summed up why half of the space marine legions decided to up and follow Horus on his path to chaos.
The guy in the trailer is Horus, the most favored son of the Emperor of Mankind. He was leading his own Space Marine Legion, the Sons of Horus, and over time got disillusioned with the empire and how his father was running things (well and Horus did have chaos agents whisper in his ears and corrupting him) and in the end he led half the existing legions (and their leaders which were also his brothers) into a Civil War against the legions and troops loyal to their dad. That Civil War is called the 'Horus Heresy' because essentially he dared to question the divinity of his father and making sure half the legions would afterwards follow Chaos and wage an endless war of faith.
@@JenTCC you're very welcome - it is quite a short explanation tho since Warhammer lore is super extensive and detailed. Great reaction btw. you never fail to entertain :)
Honestly this is probably the most important thing for someone to watch if they're trying to get into the series. The Horus Heresy is debatably the most single event in the Warhammer Universe and Horus is the single character with the most influence. Even 10,000 years later his name carries a weight that is unheard of and this cinematic shows him so well.
@@wolfbrigade1425 Arguably the Heresy sets up more of the modern day story, but I do agree the war in heaven is what lays the foundation for all future conflicts.
@@wolfbrigade1425 I think it'd be fair to argue that the Heresy was more of a crux towards the future and fate of the galaxy than the war in heaven. The war in heaven set up the warp and the rise (and eventual fall) of the Eldar, but the Heresy was the Culmination of the Chaos God's plans and had Horus succeeded, Chaos would have won. No stops, no breaks. The war in Heaven was inevitable to end with the Defeat of the Necron due to their over burdened empire having struck against TWO of the setting's most powerful races, the Old ones and the C'tan respectively. Their downfall was inevitable, thus the stasis tombs. That allowed for the rise of the Eldar and the propagation of the Ork, but not much else beyond the stirrings of beings in the warp. 60 MILLION years would then go by, of which little is actually apparent beyond the memories of the Eldar.
2:50 The Horus Heresy pretty much was the most devastating war in humanity's history. a whole 9 years of galactic civil war that saw trillions of lives lost, hundreds of worlds die, and left humanity on the edge of extinction. The saddest part was that before all this, humanity was really on the upturn. The general Imperium citizenry were happy and all the Space Marines and their Primarchs (barring a few) were pretty chill.
It's actually the 2nd most devastating. Humanities fall from grace at the hands of the Men of Iron, was a war on an unimaginable scale.. A true galactic scale Grey Goo Scenario or a Sentient Ai uprising like Matrix or terminator - except galaxy wide. (Yes, even in Warhammer's terms of scale, unimaginable....) That war ended Humanity's Golden Age and ushered in "Old Night" and the Dark Age of Technology. Humanity was closer to being wiped out in it's entirety, closer to extinction, than at any other moment in the Warhammer timeline, and Humanity had weapons/technology that would have even let them win against the Eldar or Necrons at their PEAK during the War in Heaven.. 60 million years ago. This war. along with the birth of Slaanesh and the thousands of years of warp storms and the immaterium in general churning up into a tempest, isolating and devouring remnants of Humanity - is the reasons why The Emperor needed to step in and bring mankind back from the brink of annihilation. And also the only reason he COULD. If he tried to take over during the Golden age, he would have been defeated, Humanity's tech and weapons where THAT ADVANCED.
@@GarlicAvenger to be fair, he was older than DAOT and the age of Terra, he could have stepped in anytime he wanted but instead he continued helping Humanity around as he could Plus, i don't think daot could have defeated the emperor at his peak, you know, Khorne can destroy universes and thing and while he, just like the other Chaos gods are, he's spending most of his attention and powers fighting the other Chaos gods, we must remember that the emperor is keeping all of them at bay at once (note, he's not defeating them, that's something everyone keeps thinking but it's not true, he's just stopping them from devouring the entirety of mankind as well as preventing the formation of a second eye of terror on... well Terra (Magnus fault))
But you can say the Horus Heresy still scarred the Imperium for the rest of it's existence as from then on until the Emperor Returns, the Empire he helped create adopted the ideals and practices he never wanted and would have outlawed. That being Religious Fanaticism, Anti-Intellectualism, Paranoid Occultism and Xenophobia (The Eldar mind you where once great allies of the Emperor from what I recall).
Horus Lupercal, Warmaster of the Imperium. Favoured son of the Emperor of Mankind, turned on his own father, leading half his brothers into a civil war that tore the Imperium apart, and just to give some context, he basically announced his intentions to the galaxy by virus bombing Isstvaan V, ending several billion lives as an opening shot. This cinematic is depicting part of the Siege of Terra, where, due to the myriad stratagems leading up to it, Horus led basically Nine Legions of Astartes, multiple Titan Legios and millions of other troops against the Imperial Palace and its defenders, who only consisted of 3 depleted Legions, and the formidable defences of the Palace and Terra itself... if anything, the sheer scale of violence depicted here is watered down!
Not to mention that the Siege of the Emperor's Palace on Terra was said to have lasted for 55 standard Earth days. In reference to the Boxer Revolution and the 55 day siege of Peking, that took place at the turn of the 20th Century.
I dont know if planets have feelings, but im pretty sure Earth/Terra had probably the worst "day" out of them all, during the Heresy. Forget cyclonics, thats at least quick.
Could you please explain the part where the HH was deserved? I mean, 5 sons had valid reasons to rebel, while the other 4 were tricked/manipulated into falling.
@@MrElis420 Could it be perhaps argued that the Emperor deserved it? Since he is a xenocidal, cold-hearted, cunt, and the overall *worst* father figure? And that he *did* bargain with the Chaos Gods from what I understood, but for what, idk (this was before the Primarchs were kidnapped). Is that why it is considered deserved? I would understand him getting f-ed, but the entire humanity as well?
When the Titan gets taken out by the ship firing a Lance shot, Horus looks on wide eyed and unblinking. His primarch biology saves his eyes from being burnt out. My favourite part.
I can tell you that the big stompy robots are called titans. Specifically, warlord-class battle titans. It look's like titans of Legio Gryphonicus (War Griffins) and Legio Mortis (Death's Heads) duking it out. Titans are amongst the nmost powerful engines of destruction in the 40k universe, at least as far as terrestrial weaponry goes. Starships, as shown, can be quite a bit more destructive. If you want to know exactly how powerful titanic weaponry is, that is going to depend on the writer or game system/edition. Plotwise, they're as powwrful as the particular author needs them to be for a given scene.

1:32 It's always cool to see a bunch of marines marching together, even if they're behind a tank, which is smart. Speaking of the tank(s), they look like they might be Fellblades, which were the heaviest tanks that the Imperium had and were given over to the Legiones Astartes. As they were pretty new, Horus did the best he could to get as many Fellblades to the traitors as possible, though those who would become the Loyalists also got a bunch too, though not as much as Horus and the others. I can't say for certain, but on Istvaan III, the Death Guard had a rather large incident where much of their armoured corp, those being the terran borne elements, opened fire on their brothers, of course a few blue-on-blue incidents occurred, but that's because they couldn't get a clear bead on every tank, since the channels would've been full of chatter and the battlefield would've been filled with smoke, fire, and destroyed tanks. The traitors still win out in the end, but the Death Guard ended up losing much of their tanks, Mortarion himself was injured, and a bunch of their infantry died. 3:15 We all would be. A bunch of power armoured giants shooting each other with automatic rocket launchers as giant Jaegar-esque mechs shoot each other with tanks doing the same, it'd be enough to drive mortals insane.
The falls of the traitor primarchs are all tragedies, most (definitely not all) had good intentions at first but they became twisted or corrupted. My favourite primarch is Mortarion, the contrast between his hatred of witchcraft and his pragmatism makes him seem so hypocritical but I feel it adds so much depth to his character. All of the primarchs are so complex and have such interesting and amazing stories.
Horus Lupercal, Primarch of the Luna Wolves XVI Legion (who would change their name to The Sons of Horus), the first found and most favored of the Emperor's sons. I think this marks the first time we have ever seen and heard a Primarch in a Warhammer cinematic. I know Roboute Guilliman appears briefly in a storyboard animatic, but this is a big deal in the Warhammer fandom.
Hi, I recommend watching the trailers for the game Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2, it is the same Warhammer, but its events take place in space. Namely "Battlefleet Gothic 2 Fall of Cadia". , "Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 intro cinematic / movie Imperium", the small intros of each race and star system in this game quite enough to tell the world of warhammer 40000
Damn I just realized I wasn’t subscribed lol I just kept getting you in my recommendation and just assumed I was anyway love the reactions and I hope to see more also you should react to mass effect trailers it’s my fav game series and the trailers are awesome
I hope that you have noticed how Horus, a Primearch, towers over his space marines. You have seen astartes, you know large they are compared to regular humans.
The emperor of mankind is essentially the biggest dictator ever seen in the entire Warhammer 40k franchise with the tau empire being the closest things to good guys we have but they're still an up and coming faction only making their most recent strides to be become a space fairing civilization in the last 3000 years when before that they were essentially cavemen
I'm not sure if you've seen these already, but if you want a really good set of videos that can introduce you to each main playable overall faction in the 40k universe I recommend "Every single Warhammer 40k (WH40k) Faction explained part 1" there is also a second part to it as well. the guy who made them is named "Bricky" and is pretty funny and overall chill, and he admits that he may get a few things wrong, that being said he generally is very well versed in 40k lore and even specifies individual space marine legions and what they are known for, he also mentions additional lore and even the table-top aspects of the factions! Though I will warn you-they are fairly long vids too lmao
And the man you see there was once the HERO of the Empire, the warrior virtues and the political virtues embodied. Charismatic, fraternal, respectable and super endearing. That thing you saw, once, was that man.
What? No way! They gotta show the emperor too at some point. If Horus looks beastly, I wonder what the emperor of mankind looks like. And how their meeting will go. Can’t wait, great trailer. Looking forward to what they bring forth for us in the future.
If interested in The Horus Heresy, it is a whopping 50+ books. By the 41st millennium, The Emperor is seen as humanity's God (Jesus and Yahweh are false and weak) and the Space Marines are Angels (only fops wear dresses and have curly hair and prance around playing harps) The Heresy ended with God and the Devil killing each other
Horus heresy... The shifting of balance in the imperium... It was Horus and half of his brothers VS the emperor(aka his father) and the rest of his brothers... It all began after Horus fell to the corruption of chaos
Let the seas boil. Let the stars fall. Though it takes the last drop of my blood. I will see the galaxy freed once more. And if i can't save it from your failure father. Then let the galaxy burn! I love it 10/10
The Horus heresy book series is fantastic also Horus did want to unleash his legions he literally slaughtered his own sons who would have been loyal to the emperor without warning or consulting the emperor to talk him into surrendering the imperium after being poisoned by chaos
Play the first Dawn of War game! It's considered by most to be the pinnacle of Warhammer 40,000 video games and it's on Steam for a pretty good price right now. You can get the game and all three of its expansions for $38 USD right now. Depends on whether you like RTS or not though.
To sum it up. Emperor is human reaching god-like status and power. Emperor makes 21 sons. 2 Sons written off in mysterious circumstances. 9 or 10 of the remaining 19 have their daddy issues exploited by evil god-like daemonic entities from another dimension. Hilarity ensues.
This is Horus Heresy. A great civil war in the young yet Imperium of Man. 30 000 years into the future. Others told about Horus in the comments - primarch of the Luna Wolves/Sons of Horus - Black Legion (later). This war brought and end to the Great Crusade. Almost destroyed great human empire, set his ruler on the Golden Throne - ancient support life system. The Emperor because of it is nor dead nor alive - between. But he still watches over mankind. Horus died in the war, many of his alies too and enemies, Primarchs too. The new Golden Era for humans was this day lost - forever.
I think best way to start learning about warhammer 40k universe is "Every single Warhammer 40k (WH40k) Faction Explained" two part video by Bricky - it is long and old, but you will not find better.
A RUclipsr named Bricky has a 2 part video series that explains the factions and gives a good starting point for the lore. Just be warned they're pretty long videos, but he goes out of the way to be funny and not make them dry history lessons. Might be good for a reaction. Also Helsreach is an animated book that is extremely well made, I can't recommend it enough. Its broke down into 13 parts but the parts are all less than ten minutes so another potentially good reaction.
"The story begins with a god-like being of immense power known only as the Emperor, uniting the warring factions of Earth and embarking on The Great Crusade to reunite all of mankinds lost colonies. He did this by creating 20 legions of post-human genetically engineered badasses known as Space Marines, each with an even more ridiculously OP Primarch to lead them. Unfortunately, the 4 Gods of Chaos who weren't really into that sort of thing intervened and scattered the Primarch's across the universe while still in their infancy. Rather annoyed by this, the Emperor lead the legions across the galaxy, reclaiming, subjegating or annihilating every world they could find, gradually picking up the lost Primarchs along the way. Eventually the Emperor decided there were more important things to do and retired from his career of galaxy plundering to go and muck about with ancient science back on Earth, leaving his favoured Primarch Horus in command of The Crusade. All was going well until the Chaos-tainted Chaplain Erebus engineering a plot in which Horus would also fail to Chaos. Already suffering from some pretty serious Daddy issues, Horus gathered half the Space Marine legions to his side and set about waging civil war against the Emperor. This conflict would be known as the Horus Heresy and culminated in a massive invasion of Earth. The Emperor, knowing that his forces were outnumbered and on the verge of losing the battle, teleported to Horus' flagship to engage him in mortal combat, but being a sentimental old sod, could not bring himself to kill his favoured son. Horus having no such qualms, beat the snot out of him. Finally seeing sense, the Emperor killed him with mindbullets and the loyalists were victorious. Near death, The Emperor was placed in a huge machine known as The Golden Throne which maintained his psychic essence at the bargain price of the souls of 1000 unlucky sods every single day. The Imperium fell into a state of technological regression and brutal dictatorship and for 10,000 years has been under siege from all sides by every single nasty the universe can throw at it. Basically life sucks, there is only war and you're probably going to get eaten by Tyranids... " :) Source: TotalBiscuit
Will you react on the 2 animations "Death korp of Krieg" by Sodaz and absolutelynothing ? Because if the Space Marines are strong and sometimes useful, it is the soldiers of the Astra Militarum that truly protect the Imperium from annihilation. And a good exemple of them is the death korp of krieg (even if the best guardsmen are the Iron guard from Mordian in my opinion.) Cadia stands ! The Emperor protects !

My favourite primarch is Mortarion, the contrast between his hatred of witchcraft and his pragmatism makes him seem so hypocritical but I feel it adds so much depth to his character. All of the primarchs are so complex and have such interesting and amazing stories.
Getting into warhammer, welcome to the rabbit hole. Mind your tread, keep your head on a swivel, and brace for some awesome content.
Basically this guy Horus, is a bit mad at his dad
ladies and gentlemen, witness horus massive temper tantrum because daddy wouldnt give him atention
The Sons of Horus marines should've used more Mark V power armour than Mark VI 'Beakies'.
Well to understand you just need Brickys video about all the warhammer 40K factions. They are very fun to watch and easy to understand.
He's been corrupted in mind, body, and spirit. He ended up dying soulless, honourless, weeping, and ashamed.
I do not know much about warhammer but damn that looks cool
Great reaction dudette
Damn I just realized I wasn’t subscribed lol I just kept getting you in my recommendation and just assumed I was anyway love the reactions and I hope to see more also you should react to mass effect trailers it’s my fav game series and the trailers are awesome
Thank you so much James! So grateful for the subscription my dude welcome to the cringe crew family!
Sheer terror turned into malice in seconds. You know she would jump right in if she could lmao
Your reaction to this is always priceless.
I love how you smile and laughing and giggling react to Warhammer: 40K, *LUPERCAL!* my child!
I hope that you have noticed how Horus, a Primearch, towers over his space marines. You have seen astartes, you know large they are compared to regular humans.
welcome to the Warhammer 40k community, every thing is literaly fucked, dark and sad
Okay, to summarise The Horus Heresy: Daddy issues.
I love your shirt, Jen!
I just finished the solar war,
HORUS WAS RIGHT
BIG PLOTTWIST
In the grim darkness of the far future there is only war.
i can recommend bricky W40K Faction explained, .D its good intro and U will learn and undestand a lot, maybe far more that u want to :DD
Ollanius Pius: "I'm about to ruin this man's whole career.
Fun part about Horus is that you really understand that he…well…he was right
What? No way! They gotta show the emperor too at some point. If Horus looks beastly, I wonder what the emperor of mankind looks like. And how their meeting will go. Can’t wait, great trailer. Looking forward to what they bring forth for us in the future.
Quick and easy explanation. Bald man Horus was daddy Emperor's favorite son. Then he done went and joined Satan.
If interested in The Horus Heresy, it is a whopping 50+ books. By the 41st millennium, The Emperor is seen as humanity's God (Jesus and Yahweh are false and weak) and the Space Marines are Angels (only fops wear dresses and have curly hair and prance around playing harps)
The Heresy ended with God and the Devil killing each other
If you want more Warhammer, watch "Death houpe" trailer 1 and 2. It's really cool
The darkest, most grotesque of the fan films. So , accurate.
Oooooh surely tho
Search for "bricky every faction warhammet 40k explained" and "dark millenium", those are good starts for the franchise :D
Can ya react to Harley Quinn vs jinx death battle??
The new Golden Era for humans was this day lost - forever.
ngl seeing people freak out when experiencing 40k stuff is a treat
“Trying to get into the lore” you got lots of homework ahead of you, get to it.

Ya esperaba tu reacción al tráiler de esa cinematica de la herejia de Horus
Intimidatingly sexy? Now that's heresy ma'am!
Welcome to the Grim Darkness of the Far Future. :D
Great video
Well, a regular day in Warhammer 40k. 😅
Welcome to the heresey, Sister 😎
Император защищает!
Recommend them on stream!
Just saying warhammer40k isn't you're normal sci fi franchise. There is alot of stuff and I mean alot alot alot of stuff.
"Vraks chapter 1" and "Armouring a space marine" reaction pleaaseee. Luv u🥰
