Hi Brady and Rick nice presentation. Question how would I know when the problem has been fixed? do I have to wait for the software to update? Learning a lot from you guys.
Hi, Razy. That's a great question. You would need to wait a couple of days and then review the Intermittent Modem Report to monitor the specific modem to verify that it is no longer varying in upstream transmit power and MTR. There is always the chance when looking for an issue that there is more than one loose/bad connector or damaged coax. So you might fix one of multiple issues. Brady briefly mentioned using a pressure testing kit in conjunction with PreEqualization Analyzer. Once you've identified the home with the intermittent modem, a pressure testing kit will help you quickly find the issue or multiple issues at the home. We strongly recommend pressure test kits in order to ensure you find all issues and eliminate repeat visits. We work closely with Effigis on their pressure testing kit and you can get that through us (www.zcorum.com/wp-content/uploads/PEA-CPAT-Flex-Product-Sheet.pdf). If you would like more information, just send an email to info @ ZCorum.com and I'll have someone contact you.
@@jimmyjoe1591 If you mean the leakage detection equipment, it depends on type of equipment, but it's very reasonable, especially considering how much time it saves and disruption it avoids. The PNM application (PreEqualization Analyzer) is generally purchased as a hosted application (i.e. "software as a service"), so it is a reasonable cost per subscriber. Just go here and complete the form and someone can contact to get the details needed to provide a quote for either product or both: offer.zcorum.com/main-contact-form
Very good videos. Await each one.
Thanks! Glad you find them helpful.
