"To me a woman's soul is like a mirror, when you look into it a man has no fear. I would never break what keeps us whole, a woman like you I would never let go". Love those lyrics. They edited those lyrics out of this video unfortunetly.
Thanks Heatdeb! I still can't help but think if DRN's timing was just a little earlier or later, they might have become recognized for the great band they are.
It was Wembley Stadium supporting Rolling Stones ...I was there....I'm even in this video for a milli second when Dan jumps down the front...... Dan Reed Network did support Bon Jovi on an arena tour at the beginning of the year when Dan still had his hair.
the best ever band that never made it..simple as that...saw them 5 times in the UK 1989..91 ...the most amazing live act too... try get hold of their , unfortunately ultra rare live video "Live at last"..I ripped it to DVD...its only black n white though due to a tech problem Dan Pred(their drummer) had when producing the video..although it was filmed in colour at Portland Oregon Fox theatre on New Years Eve 1991..... awesome..... except for Dans newly shaved bald head!! lol
this was filmed at wembley stadium london when they supported the rolling stones. they were great, but when dan reed cut his hair they seemed to lose all there power and never recovered.. they where shit hot when they supported bon jovi a couple of years before
solid songwriting, charismatic singer and an unbelievable new sound on there first album (producer: bob clearmountain?). the could be as successful as bon jovi. its not always "the best band" succeeds in the business.
This band was too much for the music sheep, especially for the time. For those of us with appreciation for lyrical and music content, two live crew and other dance centric mindless music overpowered this great band, and DRN was lost in the music shuffle of bad timing. I bought all their CD's and they are in my IPOD rotation to this day. It's a shame that bands like Maggie's Dream and DRN are now lost in the Music Marketing Regime. I hope my kids can spark some "Retro" interest, Jonas bros aside.
Marcus you're talking out of your arse mate.... Dan cut off his hair because he didn't want to get lumped in with the big hair scene..he wanted the music to be the focus not the hair... "we don't care about your hair, the issues dead, over & out"
One of my all time favourite bands. Should have been HUGE

Only know of them by supporting bon Jovi, met Dan couple of times a genuinely lovely bloke, as a band should of been more successful
Love those vintage metal guitars with mirrored tuning screws and pointy heads.
Got my tixs to see Dan on 21st May
Good tune

I love Dan Reed, rocking his (sexy) shaved head long before it was fashionable to do so!

Still…
@fuzzynicki Yep - this looks like Wembly too, supporting Bon Jovi!
@heatdeb Now everybody shaves their head in rock bands. How ironic.
wtf is that big audience doing there. the artist got nothing.
damn it stinks
There's plenty of love in this here man. Love this song!
