Gotta love Jay bowing at the sign. Don’t know if you guys ever had kids, but Jay is the most dad-joke guy who ever lived.
WOW just beautiful looks like you had a great day. THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!!!
Absolutely gorgeous day!
Great tour! Was nice to see the differences in the grays and the humpbacks in the way they surface to blow and then dive!
Great video and stills. I heard a sea otter say rub my belly.🤭
Beautiful. when we went to Sitka the dock had not been built so we tendered straight into downtown which we really liked.
You guys are amazing for this thank you, thank you. Going next year and hoping we get to see as much nature in Sitka then you guys did, I gasped at the footage you got. Amazing camera work as well. This has made my day.
Great excursion!! Perfect weather made it even better. ❤❤
Great video!!!!
I LOVE Alaska! This cruise 🛳🛳looks amazing, and lovely classical 🎶 music
We have your red backpack. Great purchase from your store.😀 Love Sitka
Sitka was my favorite port- we were on the Quantum, saw orca, gray, and humpback but I think we were a week behind you
I love the otter photos Dee! - and I enjoyed seeing your Sitka day
Hope the classical music returns to other HAL ships
We went on same excursion loved it saw lots of wildlife sea lions whales puffins. And eagles
What a gorgeous nature tour. Looks like you're having a wonderful time in Alaska. I"m excited to see more videos.
The only time I have been to Sitka, we tendered in.
So excited that you got to see Grey whales!
Loved today’s video, that grey whale was beautiful!
So funny that you have hats on and I never wore a hat when we were in Alaska! Sweatshirt I think was my heaviest outerwear.
Love your Alaska and all your videos…going to Alaska in August…will I miss out by not going whale watching…a bit nervous about that and hope will see some from cruise ship😊
You can usually see some from afar on the ship if you’re patient, but we always include one good up close whale watch per Alaskan cruise. It’s a must for us!!
My husband's seafood soup was crazy there! They had a huge crab leg or something in it.
When was this cruise? Love “traveling” with you two!
Thankee! We put the date in the upper left corner of every single video, as well as in the video description, for the curious, but we’re currently still on this cruise!! :D
Good morning!❤
Hi ❤ we have New Kitty In Our Lives ❤ Her name is Mookie
When I was stationed at the Coast Guard Air Station there in the late eighties, all of the cruise ships had to anchor.
When we sailed there in 1996, it was also a tender port only.
So much more ships I would imagine then back then
Aloha! Great video!!! Did you use your cell phone or a bigger camera for this footage? Thank you. Enjoy watching you two…. you’re so cute!!
Thankee! We put our complete tech list in the description of every video for the curious, ha ha. The video was shot on two cameras, and the photos were a third camera. :P
Hey dee and jay, how can you tell the whales apart from one to another ❤❤❤
Normally the shape of the back, the type of spray from the blowhole, and sometimes the coloration!! :D
I love Sitka, and picked out a house while I was there. Nobody has contacted me to say “You can have that house.” 😢
What camera did you use on the excursion? It seems much clearer than previous videos.
The main video was the new DJI Osmo but the top deck footage was our old Canon G7X because the zoom is much better!! :D
Thanks, I would love to get you opinion of the DJI Osmo once youve goten some milage on it. @parodeejay
Have you ever had the Russian dumplings in Sitka so good
We have indeed!! :D
Every time you guys go to Alaska do you ever see beluga whales? Those are my favorite whales never seen them in person if I had to do a book report about them when I was in 5th grade. 1992
We've not seen belugas in the wild, no! Apparently you can see them around Beluga Point south of Anchorage in the summer though. Goals!! :P
@@parodeejay awesome if you ever do that I would like to see it please and thank you living through you guys.
Are there places to buy sterling jewelry made by natives at any cruise ports?
Quite a few! We stopped recording video in most small local shops when a few owners asked us to stop, so we don’t get to show that anymore. But it can be found!!
Dee’s red backpack looks like a frowny face
Is it safe to write your telephone number on your luggage tag that has a cover? Thank you.
It’s probably pretty vital, in case you would like someone to call you if your luggage were to become lost.
Three ships in Sitka is ridiculous. The lines need to work with the cities to find a sustainable level of cruise tourism and not outgrow that.
