Yeah I think in his mindset this is too close to a proper smartphone to be the arrival point. But I really don't think it's necessary to go all the way as he does
I think this would actually be ideal for those who aren't that tech savvy such as some members of the older generation who still keep lists of important numbers written down who have trouble even opening the phonebook on mobile devices. Physical buttons would at least make placing a call slightly more intuitive. One could argue that they might as well get a dumb phone but this may be a stepping stone for them to get interested in further learning and experimenting with smart phones. Very often I've seen some elderly people scared to try using smart phones to make a simple call because they find it quite complicated and they are wary of asking for help because usually their grandchildren sometimes can be rude when asked for help.

Very nice review and totally agree with all the points you made. It is a nice phone but the size is counter productive if you're seeking to get away from a full smartphone as this still offers you most of the functions of a larger smartphone. Yep, the F21 Pro is personally better for me and if the back/delete key issue could be fixed on the K9T9 IME keyboard it would be PERFECT!
I have had the F22 Pro for about two weeks. I have T-Mobile and live in NYC. I will say that this is the first phone I've had in a long time that won't get service underground on the subway or if I'm very deep in buildings. That being said, I'm not sure if it's the device or if it's that it's only using T-Mobile towers or perhaps if there is some setting I have set wrong. The other thing that is flabbergasting to me is that the phone doesn't come with T9 already mapped to the physical keyboard. There's no way I could just hand this to my 70-year-old dad and have him figure out how to set that up. In fact, if anyone has links to a good tutorial of how to keymap for this phone, I'd appreciate it. Nearly all the T9 keyboards in the google play store just set up a T9 simulator for the touchscreen, which doesn't make sense when you have a large physical keyboard such as this phone. Anybody have a good link for a tutorial like that?

@Azrael that would be carrying two devices and also have to charge them separately. It is the same reasons that point and shoot cameras started to disappear after smartphones started to have good cameras. Same is true regarding music players. So you don't have to worry about charging multiple devices, carrying multiple devices.
Why not? People want dumb phones because they don't want to be under influence of algorithmic apps designed in order to take your time, not because they want to have low specification phones that are not useful.

Any way to see if this will be compatible with Telstra service in Australia? Thank you, I have been waiting for this video. Although the newer model is larger that previous, I think it will be a great transition for me from a large Samsung flagship!
It lacks B28, so the reception might affected, but for years I’ve been using a phone in Perth that doesn’t support B28 band seem no issue. The only issue may seem a problem is VoLTE, and unlike iPhone can update carrier configuration itself, without support of VoLTE, the phone can’t make phone call after 3G network shutdown.
I've heard this phone is much faster than the Samsung folder and folder 2. There's also the CAT S22 Flip in America. It's getting a little slow but it is still usable.

Hi, i was curious if the whole screen would rotate if you were to use the phone upside down, like so it's easier to use just the touchscreen? Thanks
Yes. Its possible.
👍🏼
I just ordered this and a USB C Mini Powerbank on Amazon to make sure battery life will last twice over. And my solution for storage would be to get a USB C storage stick from Samsung.
Hello Jose firstly thank you for the lovely review of the phone,
I have a question regarding this phone as I have bought the same phone and my issue with the phone is that I can't seem to turn on the lights that's under the keypad even when I type it doesn't light up , if u can guide me on this I would really appreciate it. 🙂
It's a bug afaik. They have to update to fix it.
Thank you so much for your reply 🌹
Any way to see if this will be compatible with Telstra service in Australia?
Thank you, I have been waiting for this video. Although the newer model is larger that previous, I think it will be a great transition for me from a large Samsung flagship!
It lacks B28, so the reception might affected, but for years I’ve been using a phone in Perth that doesn’t support B28 band seem no issue. The only issue may seem a problem is VoLTE, and unlike iPhone can update carrier configuration itself, without support of VoLTE, the phone can’t make phone call after 3G network shutdown.
@@lumpython5351 Thanks for the info. Phone arrived last week, working perfectly.
@@PatJC Hey mate! Considering getting one as well. What network are you with in Aus and does it work with calling and 4/5G? Cheers!
@Bansmax Telstra 4g, it worked the past two years I had it. Great phone.
Thanks for this great review. If i buy the f22 it will be because google maps is a bit better on the bigger screen.
Please tell me the battery life if we use this mobile for Hotspot from 100% to 0% how it lasts?
Probably around 2-3 hours. Or so. Maybe more.
@@JoseBriones Is it really 3-4 hours? Is this too little? Have you tried this?
Thank you! Can you use google maps on the non google version?
No. You need Google services for google maps.
Does it support the wlan 5ghz wifi for open network hotspot?
How to buy

I’m between this phone and the Samsung galaxy folder2 the old version cuz sadly that’s the only one I can find. Any recommendations?
I've heard this phone is much faster than the Samsung folder and folder 2. There's also the CAT S22 Flip in America. It's getting a little slow but it is still usable.
My dad wants to switch to a dumb phone but does not want to use keyboard search for contacts. He needs a phone which should have voice assistant to search contacts through voice command. Also, he wants to stay away from all social apps. Please share your suggestions on this request.

Nope. No Verizon version yet.

Can you tell me if this phone support T9 in Spanish? It is my main language and I worry that the T9 is not part of android but part of the phone manufacturer
Not at the moment. Only K9T9 which is English only right now.
Good question. Also the spanish is my main language. 😞
Does this device have blutooth connectivity as well? I am looking to dumb down my phone usage while still having spotify and messaging. That's pretty much all I need.
Yes. It does have bluetooth
This may be just what I'm looking for then. I will have to give it a shot. Do you have any recommendations as to where I could get one?
