@jasonuren3479 Samsung is Android Driven, so some apps will always be on the phone but they can be disabled. Same thing with Google. I agree, this gentleman's information is amazing. One thing I would suggest is every time your phone does an update, double check these settings that the update did not turn them back on
This channel helps out a lot of people & senior citizens who don't know how to use their phones! People are not as willing to help you either. Thanks for sharing. I've subscribed.👍💯🙂
What do you mean by "And senior citizens?". I'm 67 years old, have owned a PC since 1983, worked as a PC helpdesk tech and SysAdmin at IBm and other companies, and own Galaxy flagship devices, which I have no problem with. I do help other seniors, as well as young people who have no clue about tech.
but he made it more complex than it actually is. This approach does not help the elderly, At All. I'm over 70, and I have built, repaired, and restored PCs for 50 years, and includes seniors' systems.
I would like to but it's getting to the point where you have to have one (likely on purpose). To activate the latest router, you have to get their app, and scan the QR code on the router. Many 'services' are now set up so you can only use them with - their app. Such as Uber, but many others as well. I have location turned off and keep mine in a Faraday sleeve. My wife used to have a poster that read 'Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you'.
Thank you for the great advice. It really makes me mad that these spying services are enabled by default. If we want these services we should have to enable them instead of going through all this trouble to disable them.
It's even better to take things a step further and when you're in settings, click on the 'Installed from Playstore" button and you can then uninstall updates and roll it back to the OEM version which will be only a fraction of the size.

Great bro! Thanks for the useful videos from time to time. However, even after deleting and disabling so many apps, my "Android System" app drains too much battery (idle drain). I checked my batyery health, it's still good. Can you Please suggest a fix? Device : Redmi note 10 pro (MIUI 14)
do you have performance mode activated on your battery settings? I have used both balanced and performance mode and the balanced gives me a max of 3-4 hours additional battery time compared to performance
It's Chinese, which means Android with Chinese Characteristics 😂 Seriously, though, switch off WiFi and/or mobile data at night and see if that makes a difference. If not, switch to airplane mode and if the battery still drains, time to replace with non-Chinese.
Yeah me too and you can find the Gemini app in your apps list, one way to find the apps list is while on the home screen scroll up, its called the "apps draw" in settings. Find Gemini on the apps list, press and hold to bring popup menu and select uninstall. BUT. Yep, just about every time now these daysies there is a big but. I found that after uninstalling, there was no google search, so I figure Gemini has replaced Google search. They could have just called it Google search 2, but no. I reinstalled it and is okay, although I don't use the search a lot.
This channel is worth its weight in gold. Thanks! 👍

I have defeated this problem by not owning a cell phone.

@UsefulThings-ht5ju if someone near me has an app which is authorized to access "nearby devices" does that mean they can somehow snoop on me?

You start turning off Android app permissions and they stopped working... I can't for the life of me think of what the point of this would be.
Excellent!
Outstanding! Thank you
There is no Android system intelligence option in my phone Poco..
Google and see what Android version this function started with or if it had a different prior name.
Same. I am replying to see if anyone answers and tell us if there is something similar on our phones.
WOW!!!You are amazing! Thank you!
I tried this on my tablet running Android 9. No sign of this app whatsoever. Was it around back in A 9?

@davewhitefield1030 No bro, i don't use performance mode ever. It's just the 'Android system' that drains a lot of battery overnight or idle.
