I really do have uneven cheeks. My left side is bigger than my right. I look aweful in pictures. My both sides of the face doesnt look the same. im 17 by the way
Hi Bea Rose, Facial and cheek asymmetry is natural and normal in all people, and is only treated in cases of very obvious asymmetry that's noticeable by others. Your facial asymmetry is likely not noticeable by other people because we all have it, including actors and models. Also, you are too young for treatment as your face is still maturing. I hope this information helps you.
Hi@@bearosetajale6829, It is possible, but at your age, your jawbone and cheekbones are still growing and forming. I hope this clarifies things for you.
@@AmiyaPrasadMD My asymmetrical face has been bothering me a lot since the last two years. And last year, I just experience lock jaw. I think it has something to do wtih how my jaw and face in general is constructed. And I'm only 16. I want to fix this but I don't know how...
Hi Aaryan Kruthi, Facial asymmetry is natural and normal, and everyone has it, including actors and models. It is usually unnoticeable by others. I’ve only realized how uneven my face is under a year ago. I can’t even explain how uneven it is. My nose and lips is at an angle on the right side of my face which causes my left check to look bigger. My right eye looks like it’s melting down the right side of my face including my right eyebrow. My left eyebrow and eye are in a good position. My facial asymmetry is extremely noticeable and I’ve actually been asked by people if I’ve noticed it. May I add I’m only 15 years old and my mother keeps denying that my face is “lopsided” as mothers like to do so you don’t feel self conscious. If anyone has any tips on how I can make it even a bit less unnoticeable it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!!
Hi elleoria, Sorry to hear about your problem, but you still have a lot of facial growth and maturity to go until your early 20s, so I advise some patience for you until your face stops growing, and see then if anything needs to be done. I hope this helps you.
I am 20 yrs old..... I grew up with completely normal face...buy suddenly i realized that one side of my face is bigger than other..it started when i noticed asymmetry in my eyes first when i clicked pictures from the rare camera..... I was always being complemented for having big eyes..but today i see my one eye big and anither small....then i noticed the same case with my lips... They are thin from one side than the other...n now i completely see one cheek smaller than the other...its bothering me a lott...plzz doctor help me 😭😭
Hi Farheen Mir, Having facial asymmetry where one side of the face is bigger than the other is completely normal, and most cases do not require a cosmetic procedure. Everyone has facial asymmetry if you look closely enough, even actors and models. Other people will not notice subtle facial asymmetry, so it's not something to worry about unless it's significant. If you didn't notice it until you were 20, and others don't see it, then it isn't likely to be significant. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hi omai wa, Facial and cheek asymmetry are completely natural and normal, and everyone has them. I don't recommend treatment at your age since your face is still growing and maturing, so your body may sort this out on its own with further growth. I advise you try and be patient as your face grows and matures, and can improve its appearance on its own. If you still have this problem when you are older, say in your mid 20s after your face has stopped growing, then you can consider treatment. I hope this helps you.
Hi@@natashabasnet3818, Facial asymmetry is natural and normal, and everyone has it, including actors and models, so it may not be a problem at all. You can refer to this recent video about it - ruclips.net/video/DpTPMpi_t3s/видео.html

Hi PinkPufferPig, The human face is naturally asymmetrical, and sleeping on one side of your face will not cause your face to become more asymmetrical. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Aksham Thakur, Facial asymmetry is natural and normal, and everyone has it, including actors and models. Hi@@akshamthakur4689, I hope you understand that I can't give you specific advice for treatment without actually examining your face. Hi Qais Rasooly, Natural facial asymmetry is normal, and it's determined by bone structure more than anything else. I don't recommend treatment for someone your age as your face is still growing and maturing. I would only suggest treatment if the asymmetry is beyond a certain range when you are older. Also, keep in mind that if you start treatment with filler when you are a little older, which is likely the best option for someone who is younger, then it does need maintenance and associated cost going forward. I hope this clarifies things for you.
My right cheekbone is smaller and doesn’t stick out as much as my left... this makes my right eye look smaller and droopy. Idk if I’m the only one who notices but how can I find out if the asymmetry is serious and worse than normal. Because idk if it’s obvious to other people. Can I send pictures or something?
Hi ioN Wltys, Cheek asymmetry is very normal, and if you look closely even at models and actors, even they have it. I only recommend treatment in cases of genetic volume deficiency, or if volume is lost due to aging changes. Normal facial asymmetry is also seen in the eyes, where a 1-2mm difference between the eyelid height of the two eyes is not noticeable by others. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hi@@chakrapanigtchakrapani, As I indicated previously, it's likely normal asymmetry, so there likely isn't anything wrong that needs to be corrected. Hi hi, It is possible to have a thicker masseter muscle if you chew exclusively on one side, but it's not an issue I observe that's due to mostly due to chewing. Having one thicker side is more often due to habitual or unconscious teeth clenching, so I suggest you observe if this is an issue for you as well. I hope this helps you.

Hi@@anstinsaju5159, Since natural facial asymmetry is mostly due to bone structure, exercises won't be able to change your bone shape, or differences in bone volume on different sides of your face. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Roxana Olaru, Facial asymmetry is natural and normal, and everyone has it, including actors and models. It is usually unnoticeable by others. Since your face is still growing and maturing, this is not the right time to consider treatment, even if needing treatment is unlikely unless you have a genetic volume deficiency, or if treatment is need much later on for age-related volume loss. If your jaw locks, then you could have temporomandibular joint disorder, so you should see your dentist about it. I hope this helps you.

Natural facial asymmetry is caused by bone structure, as both sides of your skull form separately before birth. I only treat facial volume when it dimishes due to aging, or if there is a genetic volume deficiency. You can refer to this video about normal facial asymmetry, and why it doesn’t need treatment - ruclips.net/video/DpTPMpi_t3s/видео.html
My face was perfect but i had hifu and due to inexperienced doctor my face became asymmetrical...can it be normal again? Can my face be like before? What can I do ..I am 25 year
Hi Hani’s Hub, Sorry to hear about your problem. Volume loss due to previous thermal treatment can be treated, but it may not be fully reversible. I actually don't use HIFU devices in my practice as they heat very quickly, which make them harder to control to avoid facial volume loss. You can refer to this video about it - ruclips.net/video/u6NgcAjecGo/видео.html
Hi@@hanishub3234, I can't tell the extent of damage as I have not examined your face. When excessive thermal treatment destroys the essential fat layer, the fat cells can't regenerate with or without treatment, but they remaining fat cells can be improved with treatments like PRP. I hope this clarifies things further for you.
My right side is bigger than left side . And this is not from chilhood its been a year since 😢 i think im sleep on my fav side (right) hs this happend bcoz of this???

Hi jasmine glory, Sorry to hear about your problem. Since you may have a genetic volume deficiency, treatment may be considered. However, I would have to examine your face before making recommendations. You can consider seeing a local experienced doctor about this for a proper diagnosis, and recommendations. Hi Girlin Greenscarf, Facial asymmetry is natural, normal, and mostly unnoticeable by others, so we only recommend a procedure for severe facial asymmetry. You may have not noticed facial asymmetry before, but noticing it now as you are critical of your appearance after having braces. I suggest you ask others you trust if your facial asymmetry is noticeable before you consider a procedure. I hope this helps you.
Sir I am 18 years.I have put braces and I have removed four tooth for treatment.my left side cheek growth is more than right.but I am with braces now.can I treat it with the help of same braces?please advise me
Hi Brock Kavi, While braces will help with your teeth alignment, keep in mind that human face is naturally asymmetric, and everyone has facial asymmetry between both sides of their face, even models and actors. Facial asymmetry is only treated when it's very obvious. I hope this helps you.
I'm 22 and my left side face is worse ,like my eye ,eyebrow and cheek on the left side is uneven which makes my overall face look round than the right side of my face in Camera ,i just want to get rid of it anyhow permanently ..can you plz help ..i really really want my face look even and attractive along with chiselled jawline ...

Hi@@viratdose68, Hyaluronic acid fillers are metabolized with time. As you age, your face loses volume from diminishing muscle, fat, soft tissue, thinned skin, and most of all, bone loss. Saying a treatment is "permanent" is saying we can stop the aging process, which we cannot do. I hope this clarifies things for you.
I have left cheek more chubbier , left eyebrow higher than the other and triple eyelid on left side and I am completely tensed by seeing myself on camera..I am 17 please tell me what to do...please...😢..waiting for your reply sir
Hi Manmeet Kaur, Facial asymmetry is normal, and everyone has one side of their face more prominent than the other, including actors and models. Also, your face is still growing and maturing, so there are more changes ahead, so you are too young for any volume treatment. Natural facial asymmetry is most often caused by bone structure, since the two halves of the face are formed separately from each other. Natural facial asymmetry is usually unnoticeable by others. You can refer to this video about it - ruclips.net/video/DpTPMpi_t3s/видео.html Your eyelid would need an examination before treatment is recommended, but I also suggest you wait to consider treatment as again, your face is still growing, so it would be best to consider this treatment when you are already an adult in early 20s. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hi SHAWKAT AHMAD, If your cheeks become more flat due to age-related volume loss, than cheek filler and/or cheek implants can be considered. However, sunken cheeks can also be due to diet restrictions causing weight loss, and the solution to this is simply to gain weight. It's not clear what you have, so I can't recommend specific treatments without examining your face. I hope this helps you.
@@AmiyaPrasadMDactually sir I m eating normally whatever is present but my face lacks shine and glamour due to sunken cheeks.there is getting increase of fat around my body except face , doesn't know the reason.zygomatic bones become visible due to less meat on face.
Hi @@shawkat_aziz826 , I would have to evaluate you before recommending specific treatments, especially for the cause of your hollowing, and your current age as it may possibly be age-related volume loss. I hope this helps you.

Hi, Tongue posture only affects teeth positioning affecting your face, and is not tied at all to facial bone structure, soft tissue, fat, and muscle that comprise the majority of your facial structure. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Would you reccoment these fillers to a 16 year old? At such an early age, surgery is normally avoided because the jaw can still be developing. Do these fillers still allow the bone to grow natrually? Is the filler temporary or able to be taken out?
Hi person, I don't recommend filler treatment for someone your age because your face is still maturing, and hyaluornic acid fillers do need maintenance, which will be difficult for most young people. When I perform this procedure, I do use hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm Ultra Plus and Juvederm Voluma, which are both safely metabolized by the body in 1-2 years. I don't recommend permanent or semi-permanent fillers because removal is an extensive and expensive process, and the body does not always react favorably to these fillers. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi@@beabiancamateo4118, Facial asymmetry is natural and normal, and everyone has it, so most of the time it's not noticeable by others. Treatment is only recommended for more obvious asymmetry. Braces may help certain areas, but it's a limited area of the face. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hi Charmaine Suratos, The human face is naturally asymmetric, so treatment is usually done with more obvious facial asymmetry that can be seen by others. Facial and cheek asymmetry is natural and normal in all people, and is only treated in cases of very obvious asymmetry that's noticeable by others. Your facial asymmetry is likely not noticeable by other people because we all have it, including actors and models. Also, you are too young for treatment as your face is still maturing. I hope this information helps you.

Hi elleoria,
Sorry to hear about your problem, but you still have a lot of facial growth and maturity to go until your early 20s, so I advise some patience for you until your face stops growing, and see then if anything needs to be done. I hope this helps you.

Hi Farheen Mir,
Having facial asymmetry where one side of the face is bigger than the other is completely normal, and most cases do not require a cosmetic procedure.

Hi omai wa,
Facial and cheek asymmetry are completely natural and normal, and everyone has them.

Hi Aksham Thakur,
Facial asymmetry is natural and normal, and everyone has it, including actors and models. Natural facial asymmetry is most often caused by bone structure, since the two halves of the face are formed separately from each other. Natural facial asymmetry is usually unnoticeable by others. I only advise treatment for facial volume changes due to aging, or if there is a genetic volume deficiency. You can refer to this video about it - ruclips.net/video/DpTPMpi_t3s/видео.html

Hi@@akshamthakur4689,
I hope you understand that I can't give you specific advice for treatment without actually examining your face. I suggest you look at your old pictures to see that your face is naturally asymmetric, as facial symmetry is practically non-existent among people. I hope this helps you.

Hi Kurt Dominic Geva,
The face is naturally asymmetric, and everyone has facial asymmetry to a degree, even models and actors. Also, your face is still growing, so you should allow yourself time to mature and develop your face. I hope this helps you.

Hi Qais Rasooly,
Natural facial asymmetry is normal, and it's determined by bone structure more than anything else.

Hi ioN Wltys,
Cheek asymmetry is very normal, and if you look closely even at models and actors, even they have it.

Hi @lilliannevillanueva1101,
Everyone has one cheek bigger than the other as it's normal facial asymmetry determined by bone structure. Hi hi,
It is possible to have a thicker masseter muscle if you chew exclusively on one side, but it's not an issue I observe that's due to mostly due to chewing. Having one thicker side is more often due to habitual or unconscious teeth clenching, so I suggest you observe if this is an issue for you as well. I hope this helps you.

Hi Hani’s Hub,
Sorry to hear about your problem. Volume loss due to previous thermal treatment can be treated, but it may not be fully reversible. I actually don't use HIFU devices in my practice as they heat very quickly, which make them harder to control to avoid facial volume loss. @@AmiyaPrasadMD can my face back to normal after 7 months? On its own
Hi@@hanishub3234,
I can't tell the extent of damage as I have not examined your face. When excessive thermal treatment destroys the essential fat layer, the fat cells can't regenerate with or without treatment, but they remaining fat cells can be improved with treatments like PRP. I hope this clarifies things further for you.

@@AmiyaPrasadMD will it be permanent somehow ?
Hi@@viratdose68,
Hyaluronic acid fillers are metabolized with time. As you age, your face loses volume from diminishing muscle, fat, soft tissue, thinned skin, and most of all, bone loss. Saying a treatment is "permanent" is saying we can stop the aging process, which we cannot do. I hope this clarifies things for you.

How can we increase our cheeks.and to get rid of sunken cheeks
Hi SHAWKAT AHMAD,
If your cheeks become more flat due to age-related volume loss, than cheek filler and/or cheek implants can be considered. However, sunken cheeks can also be due to diet restrictions causing weight loss, and the solution to this is simply to gain weight. It's not clear what you have, so I can't recommend specific treatments without examining your face. I hope this helps you.

Would you reccoment these fillers to a 16 year old?
At such an early age, surgery is normally avoided because the jaw can still be developing. Do these fillers still allow the bone to grow natrually?
Is the filler temporary or able to be taken out?
Hi person,
I don't recommend filler treatment for someone your age because your face is still maturing, and hyaluornic acid fillers do need maintenance, which will be difficult for most young people.
