late to the party here john but iv just bought myself a few IK sprayers - couple of the bigger sprayers and a couple of the smaller sprayers with the weight in, cracking for diluting down gear!
One would dare to think that it is the result of the pandemic - the man and his interests - the man in his cage being the garage. Seriously, it also strikes me, but the content is, as always, very interesting and varied, so not just foaming and waxing. .
I re-use spray bottles once the product is gone (after rinsing them well). I don't recall ever buying an empty spray bottle. But I'm not a professional detailer. A brand here in the States called Zep uses very good spray bottles - too good to simply throw away. That said, this was a great vid! I *hate* wispy spray bottles!
Have just purchased 3 of the IK sprayers, I like them. They just seem to feel balanced in your hand. The things you don’t think about (sprayers) are the things that can make your detailing fun all the more enjoyable.
fill it full though with water. and spray it around for a bit. the IK is not comfy and it digs into your hand eventually. LEt me say it like this if you have all these triggers and sprayers in front like I do. The IK is the worst to hold. But the flask is very cool. Im happy with my purchase. But I just want IK to like think about confort more and pick better triggers.
Turtle Wax Cleaner / Defectant - Here in the USA there is Spray Nine Heavy - Duty Cleaner / Degreaser . It says it diinfects in 45 seconds , kills viruses and removes mold and mildew . Comes in one gallon refill bottles .
Because of your video I checked all the sprayers I had at home. Unsurprisingly, the ones pushing the most product (around or over 2ml) were those from bottles, that came with a product in them, mainly some household glass cleaner and glass cleaner from Shell petrol station ;)
Got my first IK product this week, the 2.0 pump sprayer that you showed in the end, Jon. Really impressed with presentation and build quality. I bought it to spray Surfex HD before doing a rinseless or just a touch less wash. Considering how much rain we've been getting this month, either methods twice a week work great for my daily.
So many products you bring to my attention John. I've finally got round to buying some tolco big blasters, absolute game changer. I can apply my selection of different pre washes from my 1 litre bottles whenever I fancy at speed rather than just having one brand in my pump sprayer.
I have a tote carry tray too, also tried a "hostess" trolley type, made roughly to try and it works well. Brings all your cleaning things in one place and u can have bucket of rinse water and suds on top and things hanging on the sides, give it a try.
I've stuck with my original bear car care clear product bottles, they haven't got any measures but the triggers on them are pretty awesome. 👍 do like the look of the IK ones though and probably will get some if these bear cars give up the ghost.
Hi Jon, I just bought a bunch of the IK sprayers and some Carpro Iron X and it comes with the Carpro chemical resistant sprayers. Its the same as the Tolco ones but in BLACK!!! I know I'll be ordering some when I can find them.
Have you seen those Pivot spray bottles that Larry from AMMO NYC uses? You can spray those at any angle without stalling! Don't know if it'll be available here though.
yes Im interested in the price point. its interesting isnt it. Im just wondering if its not a step too far, or possibly over engineer'd (is it solving a big problem?). but love innovation and the proof is always in the pudding.
You need to check out the ik tr1 360 trigger sprayers! theyve added a weight so you spray from any angle. They also updated the part that sits on your hand so its way more comfortable!
Good video! Where did you get those canisters on the shelf above the IK sprayers? Looks good and handy to just fill the spray bottle with pre-mixed solution. Thanks in advance!
Hi, you had a video a while back discussing the negatives of applying products as foam, onto wheels for example. I see you do use the Surfex in a foamer in a lot of vids - did you rethink/change your mind? I’m interested as I was thinking of getting one of these pump foamers until I saw that other vid. I find sprayed products a bit thin or ‘dry’ for working with a brush on the wheels, I can see the pros of a foamer - I often spray 10% shampoo mix on top of wheel cleaner, just to get some suds to work with.
Jon, brilliant review and honest opinion. Can i ask your advice. I use Tardis, like a lot of other people but it destroys most triggers. If you use it what trigger / bottle combination do you use. Thanks, keep up the great contect.
2:30 to 2:35 I did the same thing earlier today, and the bottle exploded. Koch Chemie FSE spilled everywhere, the whole litre of it went to waste. I have to order some more of it now. It was one of my favourites as well.
Using strong acid for wheels would be a good test for these atomisers' durability (but don't spray near BMW). Another test would be to count how many trigger pulls before any sign of failure.
Late to the party watching this one ( recent subscriber getting blown away by fantastic content) Where did you get the wash buckets from please John ? Great with labels
Brilliant video John like all of them been looking trigger and bottles long time it's narrow it down a bit also Also please what do you think of yums products have you used any before Andy
I had the power sprayer bottle the triggers over time died didnt like the double spray either so changed to the marolex mini vitons pretty cheap and nice quality so far so good!

I’ve got the 1st and last bottles using built hamber surfex hd and autoglym wheel cleaners day in and out eventually they clog up and die after about 5 months or so
8:53 why classic Tolco Gold wasn't included? they are still on eBay and i like them, so i was wondering how would you compare them with the rest of the lot? also, filter at the bottom of the pipe is worth mentioning.
Hey Jon. For a strong acid solution what's better in your experience? IK multi 1.5 is a good choice, but a cheaper spray nozzle would work fine as well. Thanks
That trigger is a canyon chs-5a it hurts your hand still I talked about this trigger on the backup channel kenny. its got 2 sharp fins on the back. the output on the tolco is higher and it does not hurt your hand (and its cheaper)
@@ForensicDetailing this one is like a bigger version of the IK one , sits in the hand better , they’ve maybe changed styles due to fins , I think if the würth trigger had a longer neck it would be perfect for the IK bottle
Hi mate, have just went and ordered 5 of these IK sprayers as I've been looking at something a little nice to use. Have just ordered Bilt hambers full range of products to try out also. Including most of the rust/protection products. Quick question, where do you get your plastic shelves and drawers from? Need them! Appreciate all the videos, very helpful.
thats the same budget canyon trigger thats on the IK sprayer right (looks like it, caynon trigger) if so its not a great trigger mate. draw is nice but its thin flimsey and hurts you hand. you need to use some of the ones I show you in this review they are on another level. expecially the tolco one. it has about 3-4 times the throughput.
its just a canyon trigger with a hdpe flask. I talked about this on the unplugged channel. Its ok. but the IK flask is another level for a couple of quid more.
@@ForensicDetailing I’m only a weekend warrior so that’s not a problem lol, do they cut/finish as good as more expensive brands, but just don’t last as long?

they leak unless you remember to tighten the nozzles after use. and the drips that come from the nozzle can flick onto the car. they are half decent but very cheap.
