    I just played a game like the first bit less than an hour ago. I was playing Tahm Kench against Darius. He played very passively and let me cs almost unhindered because I kept poking him with my Q, rather than whacking me and bullying me like Darius does so well. Then he started hiding under tower and backed off so far I could dive past the tower and kill him. I don't know the matchup much nor am I all that good but I learned within a minute I could bully this guy relentlessly.

      This is a common pitfall for noobs and shitters. The strengths of a champ change constantly based on what the meta reflects and how RIOT changes runes regularly.
      Learn maybe 2 very different champions for your lane and determine what YOUR strengths are and what you can do to improve or push a MU into your favor. Don't sit around begging for someone to tell you what's top tier because every champ can be countered or simply ignored.

    • @ultimatesonic47
      @ultimatesonic47 3 года назад

      just no, you just know the average damage of your champ and how much it cant take, knowing about low cd is important jax lv 1 is strong because that lv relies on autos but if you all in a champion with less cd than that he will die especially if his e only got him one or two autos, just think about cd, dps, shield, and buffs of passives and runes with that you can figure out every lv 1 in the game since is heavily a stat check fight

    This videos are the best, I have improved a lot with these videos, I'm wondering if you guys have any video is explaining what a "win condition" is. I heard a lol pros saying "it's our win condition". So what is a win call condition and how do I spot it? If you don't have a video like that you M8 consider doing one it's an really interesting topic.
    Keep the good work!

    • @elitedes5775
      @elitedes5775 3 года назад

      Win condition is the condition you need to meet in order to win. For example, let's say you have a yi and a jinx in your team, and you are playing twisted fate against something like syndra. Your win condition are those two champs, so you focus your resources as a midlaner to get them ahead as, if syndra knows what she is doing, you should not be able to out-trade her. This is the basic principle behind win conditions, understanding what's the easiest and more secure way of winning the game by knowing your champions

    • @smsanta
      @smsanta 3 года назад

      @@elitedes5775 yeah great explanation! I more or less get that, but maybe there's some general idea that can apply to each case. I know it is relatively simple concept but it also is a world or choices. In your example Yi and Jynx should have prio but what's the core of that decision? Is because they are late hyper carries? What should I do if Jynx for example is having a bad day and she's 0/5 how I determine what is the win condition? Is giving lane priority the only win condition? Idk if I'm overthinking here or really is a deep topic haha but is fun talking about it. It's a start 🙂. Thanks for your reply btw

    • @nic.h
      @nic.h 3 года назад

      Any condition that leads to your team winning. Baron, Elder, Dragon Soul, your feed top laner split pushing would be the main ones.

    • @elitedes5775
      @elitedes5775 3 года назад +1

      @@smsanta well, it depends. If your jinx is going 0/5 and you haven't been able to help before that you should focus your resources in the person or objective that you belie e will have you get ahead. Lets ad a toplane matchup to my example, your toplane is playing fiora and the enemy is playing something like orn. Fiora should be the winning side on this matchup so, as you most likely will have lane prio in top, ping your jungler to secure objectives like herald by grouping on top and killing on or going mid and getting syndra. Now you can focus your gold on getting fiora and yi fed with toplane plates and turrets, while also trying to grab whatever you can for yourself.
      However, the problem comes when you yourself are not a champ than can carry, and none of your teammates is winning lane or following your engages. That's why people tend to pick champs like yasuo or kata, because they know that if things get bad, they still have the option to 1vs9 if they are good enough and not in a counter matchup.
      In regards to why yi and jinx should be priority, is exactly why you said so. If the enemy team doesn't have anything to counter them, such as malzahar (kinda counters yi) or rammus, they will get to late game and reck havoc amongst the other team. The fact that these champs tend to strugle early on is why they are balanced, as if they are not able to get to their respective spyke early enough it becomes a losing battle for them.
      To conclude, the most important idea is to do what you think will help you win the match, even if you later discover you are wrong. By doing this and then thinking about what that decision led to you can learn what to do in the future. You may group to try and win a 5vs5 before drake spawns, but maybe the best decision was to push a lane and get into the fight with tp, or just keep splitpushing. Review the match later if you have time and look for what actions you could have taken to win earlier or just simply win.

    I just recently hit Plat playing top with pretty much full time Illaoi (got Skill Capped subscription too by the way).
    I also think that Urgot made a second mistake in that first clip. He put himself into a slow push situation heading to Pantheon.
    So if I am unsure about a match up I, admittedly, will give more respect then is probably due, but what I'll look to do (especially if they have Ignite) is play patient on the wave and even choose to miss several minions within the first wave (not missing xp) just to ensure that it freezes at my tower.
    I already do not understand the match up; the last thing I want to do is have the long lane to run back to tower during a jungle gank with an opponent rocking Ignite.
    So in this case, as Urgot, if I REALLY wasn't sure about the outcome of early aggression, I would have held off on hitting the wave and letting it push to me as it was obvious the Pantheon was not respecting wave management.
    As it stands in that clip the Pantheon now has a free slow push towards him and if he just sits there and waits Urgot is free game once the wave comes back to Pantheon's side of the map.

      You can't freeze with urgot for long because of his passive unless you have a very good control of your damage and positioning when autoing, and that guys clearly doesn't know about it. Anyway, as urgot is a range champ and pantheon is a squeezy champ, the best option is slow push while lowering him and dive him with jungler. As he has no TP and pantheon is a snowballing champion who builds lethality (useless against urgot), he can't play the game anymore

    *_So i’m a low elo silver 2-4 player, that plays ranked flex with his high platinum/ low daimond friends to improve_* (playing against way better players to improve) i’m fond of duelists! just got m7 camille, intend to keep playing camille, fiora, jax / What i noticed in my elo is that if i play aggresive the first three levels and hard push, i nearly always win.. but slow pushing somehow always gets me at a disadvantage, + i like going all out. (Also yesterday i got absolutely demolished by this Platinum Kled, i played camille because i didnt know what champion is good vs him, i almost picked jax tho.

    i'm gold and i'm asking because i don't know:
    in the urgot clip, the mistake i spotted is that he should not necessarily all in lv 1, but should zone pantheon from melee Q the wave since he got pushed from the first wave allowing pantheon to get lv 2 first (and we know ignite pantheon lv 2 can empowered W Q auto for a very high burst) while urgot at this point lv 1 would not be able to fight back because of the ignite and the minion advantage pantheon would have.
    was i wrong?

    • @devianalvis2178
      @devianalvis2178 2 года назад

      Urgot lv1 is one of the strongest in the game. Even with ignite Panth cannot win. The strat here should be zoning Panth off the minion wave and slowly push the wave into tower. After lv3 you back off and respext the ignite and play until 6. Talking from a d3 perspective

    I'm abusing lethal tempo nocturne top, I know he is strong on level one and level three, I get almost always first blood because people don't respect my attack speed when they pop my shield and my Walkspeed after I q them, they don't think, "oh well I'm half health and nocturne based, I'll play safe" like no one, I almost every time get level 6 kill because of them not respecting my all powers spikes and at minute 15 I'm 4/1/0 or something like this, I'm rocking exhaust instead of ignite because I can pop it if I'm loosing level one fight and turn the tide and get easy money

    The reason I don't like skill capped is that people dont understand yet need to in order to improve "all things bad and good are situational and need to be analyzed and understood on a case by case basis". I dont do competitive league but in any competitive scenario that is the ultimate truth. urgot poking panth in lane leading him to push could of been an excellent strat if they were setting up a gank scenario since many people know pantheon is an early game bully. The moment people critically think about a game instead of auto piloting (trust me everyone does it and it takes a purposeful effort to fight against that)

    • @mohamadzakaria96
      @mohamadzakaria96 3 года назад

      Trundle Q steals AD from the enemy and that stolen AD stacks because it remains for a longer duration than the Q CD. Long fights level 1 means the enemy deals no damage with autos towards the end of the fight while Trundle deals more. Also that stolen Q AD increases your next Q damage because it scales with total AD as well.

    • @alonman1hertzman650
      @alonman1hertzman650 3 года назад

      You should try taking a champ that has it the same for most matchups. For top laners some good examples are Trundle/Gwen/Wukong/Tahm Kench/Sett/Jax- Things you can just rush with and win most of the time. then you just need to learn the few exceptions to your matchup (Counters and unique interactions) and then you're pretty much set. Just remember to track key abilities.

    • @stormdragon2529
      @stormdragon2529 3 года назад +1

      well, that comes with experience most of the time. you cant know how to perfectly play against a champ that you never played against before.

    • @Spar7anProjec7
      @Spar7anProjec7 3 года назад

      Think about your champ spikes and limit test. You will probably int your first two or three lanes but you'll get way more value in the long run thanks to the knowledge you got. You can also watch replays of the specific matchup to speed up the process by a lot, but then you will still need to practice. If you just want to survive that single lane and never learn the matchup then afk farm and play the game only when your jungler is near, this will cut losses by a lot but the next time the matchup happens you still won't know how to deal with them properly, and if you manage to get to higher elo than plat then getting pushed in and always giving up prio won't really help you climb further.

    • @mohamadzakaria96
      @mohamadzakaria96 3 года назад

      It has nothing to do about Urgot being "ranged" because his AA range is so low (same range as Thresh) . His level 1 is A-tier. He wins vs most of Top laners except the S-tier level 1s like Darius, Trundle, Shen, Gwen. His level 2 is very average depending if u have the shotguns at the back ready or u used them at level 1. His levels 2-8 are garbage. He can get a kill at level 6-8 if he starts the fight with the enemy being lowish (50-60%) because his ult executes at 25%.
      Level 9 is so good because his passive shotgun is reduced to 5 sec CD and u have perma W to proc it. Level 13 is 1v9 because his passive is reduced ro 2.5 sec CD.
