Changed my EDC to high quality brass, wood and leather items a few years ago and not one of the items have failed me ever. Very sturdy and classy looking ! Great one. Jon !
A great video, inspired by your brass EDC I added brass scales to my Compact SAK from Daily Customs, a really nice addition and completes my brass EDC.
I noticed that you keep your Compact and Rovyvon on separate clips. Another configuration that really works well for me is to clip both together (via the split rings), and then rely on the built-in Rovyvon clip to keep them both neat in my pocket.
Great leather and brass set up. I'm a huge fan of pairing leather and brass. My leather and brass EDC kit is a Boker camp knife with stag, Prometheus flashlight in brass and a brass Fisher Space pen. The pouch I got also came from etsy and it really works great
Great video, Everything you've shown in the video is on its way to my house. I can't wait to get it. I'm glad I found your channel, I'm gonna have to work a little over time 😆 🤣 😂 Because finding your channel has been heavy on my wallet😎
Brass steampunk Victorian is always an interesting look. That leather will soften and age nicely in use. My choice Fisher Space pen in titanium, Victorinox Executive 74mm pocket knife in black, RovyVon Aurora A8 with U/red/white Nichia 219C and a brass whistle. I hand stitched a case out of cork leather that slips on a belt.,120 grams altogether, with pockets exactly the size needed for these.
Hi Gerald, The Fisher Space Pen is a modern classic and will never age - I got three myself. I wonder if you would be kind enough to help me out a little... I have just started reviewing myself and would welcome your insight with one or two of my reviews, if possible. I am looking for a few regular people, who are fair and balanced in their comments... If your able, I would very much appreciate it. You can contact me at: toptooltec@gmail.com Cheers👍
Very nice ! I love that leather accessory holder. The elastic is kinda out of place though.. a very slightly oversized matching leather strap around the elastic would be perfect
Jon happy Monday. Nice new knife given the limitations of blade size in the UK. Not having such limitations myself I have recently added the 111mm Victorinox Garant ( Nomad version with blue plus scales ) with its 3" blade lock to my daily Gentleman's knife rotation ( shared with a Pioneer, a Pioneer X & a Cadet ) & have on order a new in box rare 111mm Victorinox Outrider in black with the original slide lock ( since 2017 Outriders are made in lock blade only ) . Whilst I do like the idea of carrying my Gentleman's knives in a sheath, I have not opted for leather sheaths but bought a number of Skai imitation leather ones & am fine with that. No doubt they will wear out over a length of time but replacing them is affordable. BTW I have on order new 91mm black plus scales for my rarely carried Compact because I am simply bored with the standard red scales the Compact comes with
@@JonGadget FYI if the slide lock ever breaks or you need new scales for the pre-2017 model 111mm Workchamp that you own they are available on Ebay from a supplier in the Ukraine & one in Russia, like all Victorinox parts they are relatively expensive, shipping costs likewise & they take a while to arrive as both the Russian & Ukraine postal people & Customs people take their time in clearing shipments for export .
Hi Jonathan , how do you feel about putting the knife in the pocket organizer when it has such a strong retention? For a pen and flashlight I see less urgency
@@JonGadget cool, I've been using a pocket organizer with only 2 spots. Keeping the knife free with the pocket clip and a lanyard for quick access. Contemplating whether I should do a total package like this one. Would this organizer fit a Sebenza you reckon? Cheers
@@boyentradharmonica7796 I don’t have one to try but the biggest pocket is the one I am using for the flashlight - if you chose a smaller flashlight for the pocket I use for the knife you will have plenty more options
Excellent video, I like it very much, how thoroughly you explain and examine your items. One more question: what is the difference between the following Rovyvon flashlights: A29, Aurora A4x Nichia LED (Upgraded) Titanium EDC and the A28 which you presented recently. Which one would you recommend?
Thanks for the feedback 👍 A29 and A28 same size - 29 looks cool in brass 28 is lighter in weight and has more functions (red and white lights in body) - A4x is smaller (chose A8x if you want the A28 like functionality) and less powerful - but looks very nice - all down to size, functions, and looks - hope that helps.
@@JonGadget Hi Jon, I just got the A28 in the Version you presented. It is a fantastic flashlight and I want to thank you very much for your recommendation!

Something just like this has been my EDC for the last two years, I really enjoy it.
Great 👍

Real steel also offers a removable thumb stud that will make the knife one handed. Love the connection with the era of invention
Hi! Yes, I have the thumb stud and it works really well - but means the knife won't fit in the leather sleeve 🙁
@@JonGadget ah, that makes sense
Yeah man👍 That's sweet. Very classy.
Thank you 👍
Really like your videos. Thanks John.

Hi Michael - I generally need one or the other - I think to grab both every time might not work for me - appreciate the feedback though
Very nice EDC set up i love that leather case very nice might have to pick up one of those thanks for sharing your EDC with us 👍🏻
Thanks William for the feedback 👍
Thanks for the video Jon. I like the “steampunk” theme. I particularly like the leather sheath. That will age well.
Thank you 🙏
i have steam punk theme too. it has e cigrette for steam effekt with kustom made gearcog kased. and punk as it used by a punk. i think it effekts

YES another great one, Sir!
Such a lovely kit and once again amazing video overall. KEEP IT UP! 🥳
BTW seems you put the link to the pen twice instead of the link to the knife :)
Thanks Eyal as always 🙏
well spotted - now sorted 👍

very compact collection - I like it 👍 - orange peeler is a bit weird though on the Vic.....

Maratac copper and brass flashlights (straight and angle lights) have a subtle streampunk look that I really like (also really well made).
they do look great 👍

Yes - I agree re the elastic but it is useful - would be cool to conceal it as you suggest
Stunning

Hey Jon, is the pocket clip in the Luna reversible?
No, unfortunately.
As mentioned I'm afraid not - and cannot be removed
I’ve swapped from Rovyvon having found the battery discharged by accidental button pushes from pocket storage. Anyone else found the same?
no problems with mine so far - switch needs some pressure to activate on mine
Got that Rovyvon on sale for a nice discount, if you are reading this in November 2022 go to their website...
Trying hard not to add that pen to my kart!
🤣🤣🤣
Hopefully you didn't forget the refill cartridge... I almost did I'm glad that I remembered.
