Your review is correct and gives the right impression about this hatchback model. It's a liitle good car. My wife took the 1.2 petrol engine, style combi version, with 6 speed manual gear box as standard. It's indeed an excellent polyvalent car, fit also for motorway journeys. This new Fabia version is a huge positive jump from the previous model my wife had. Surprisingly light, well equipped, lively to drive, cheerful, stylish, quiet, smooth running and comfortable. With full load and air conditionning on, engine performance is not too much affected. Being used to drive it now, the only thing I really miss in her Fabia is the excellent DSG gear box (which I have on my own VW Golf GTD, and love it). DSG is of course available on option for the Fabia, but unfortunately at a far too expensive optional cost compared to the overall moderate price of the Fabia. So...Yes! This new Fabia (either hatchback, or even better for boot space the estate/combi version) in "style" finish is an excellent purchase, not to be regretted. What else do we want more from this attractive car bundle? Well. The average petrol consumption with the 1.2 liter petrol engine combi is presently and from new around 7 liter per 100 kms on mixed journey city/motorway. Which is fair enough considering the overall good performance of the engine, but may be could still be reduced down to 6 liters so to give full satisfaction and make the difference with its competitors. Also, the car is equipped as standard with "rear" parking sensors. Very useful! But oddly enough there are no "front" parking sensors in the top "style" finish.. Although not absolutely indispensable on such a small car, this seems a bit of a mean choice from Skoda..
Isn't VW strange in many ways? With every new model that Skoda and SEAT release, it makes less and less sense to buy the VW/Audi version. There is really nothing between them any more apart from dashboard plastics. And that is no reason to charge 20% more. And the styling is also so much better on Skoda and SEAT too
pipcannon Yeah you can see that this way. And exactly this is the reason why Volkswagen is going Premium now, as you prolly have seen in the all-new Passat video. So they have to step it up to move away from Seat / Skoda again.
Good overview of the car. I just ordered mine few days ago. TSI 1.2 Style (6 gears). I had generation 2 before and was extremely satisfied. Perfect car for my needs...
I'm close to pulling the trigger on this one. I prefer it over the Ibiza, Corza, Fiesta and Polo. The Mrs. really like the Fiesta for some reason, so I need to convince her that this looks way more classy. Great video!
thorough helpful review, well presented - one thing that we were looking for was good rear visibility, getting to be a rare thing with other cars becoming ever more streamline with higher cill levels.
+André d'Oeste Interesting that we always have a great feedback from you guys when we are in Portugal. You guys really seem to be proud of your country! Very beautiful indeed
The estate does not have more space for passengers, except that Open Vectra from a couple of years ago. In the Fabia you have the same leg room in estate as in the hatchback. The boot is the only one that gets bigger.
Super Video, sehr informativ :) !
1.0 liter engine is a joke.. and if u want a decent motor you need to go to a higher trim level..-> and you have something as expensive as a megane or i30 or a focus..

Badge snobbery, my friend. You cannot imagine how much money "prestige" brands make from people's status anxiety...
I have a fabia from 2007. 200.000 km, no sérious problem so far and still running as new.
Cool!
Good overview of the car. I just ordered mine few days ago. TSI 1.2 Style (6 gears). I had generation 2 before and was extremely satisfied. Perfect car for my needs...
cardante979 Thanks! And have fun with it :)
good choice, what interior colour combination have you chosen?
Maurazio
I opted for Style so my interios was pretty limited (black, beige or blue) so I went for black.
I have it now for 2y and still love it! I love the little clever solutions from Skoda...perfect car for me...can't wait for the next gen :)
cardante979 Do you still have it? Is it the 6 gear manual? Any problems / costs yet?
Congratulations, your reviews are always great. Serious, objective and fun. You made me choose this car and was the best choice. Greetings from Chile.
thanks and have fun with it :) tune in for more of our reviews!
Good narrative. I am an owner but wanted to make sure in hindsight that others agree that this car is as good as I think it is.
GodDamn!!! you make Lisboa look awesome in the footage :)
Great review.
obrigado !
i got the 1.2 TSI 110 bhp with the dsg automatic. gotta say i bought it cause i saw your review! nice job:)
+Sami Saijari glad we could help! :) Enjoy!

So what would you think when someone would like to eat YOUR skin?

+ian douglas Thanks:)
thanks! Also enjoy our recent Fabia review: ruclips.net/video/rKZMkIhAG6M/видео.html
Just subbed to your channel. Really liking your in-depth reviews.
Klas Lilja great!
Is it possible to review the Skoda Fabia combi ? I can't find any decent review. And you guys are the only one i think that can do it.
Bandiet it's only called Combi in a couple of countries, så If you search for Fabia Estate you'll find many more reviews
Bandiet they need to make it
Thank you for a fantastic review, I am interested in this car and you have been very helpful. Perfect English much appreciated.
Hey! That's my home town! Great footage! Thank you! I have a Skoda Fabia 1.2 tsi 90hp! I just love it!
nice home town u got :)
Thanks. Come again!
Another good review well presented Fabia is an excellent car not for badge snobs with superb comfort
thanks keep joining us!
I saw the Fabia and found it to be too small. I think the Mazda 2 is bigger. I'm looking for a fuel efficient hatch. Do you think it's better?
+Christo Cleetus if the fabia is too small for u, go for the estate version or a segment above. The fabia is by far the biggest car in this segment!!
My country ❤️ and beautiful car.
+André d'Oeste Interesting that we always have a great feedback from you guys when we are in Portugal. You guys really seem to be proud of your country! Very beautiful indeed
We are especially those that live far from home like myself. Living in the U.S.
good vidéo 😉 but wich engine?

that's right
much prettier than the polo
+Azathoth you mean, uglier..
+Mario Losberg Nope prettier ;)
Dragoforcebest maybe to you.. for me it is ugly car that looks like it's from year 2000...
+Mario Losberg Polo looks always the same :D btw dont look if u dont like ;)
Dragoforcebest well..i will always say my opinion.. ;)
Thank you very much for the nice representation.
thanks, tune in to more of our reviews!

+Ian Douglas thx join more !

Сергей Явкин Spassiba!
Too bad you`re invading Ukraine, you`ll get shet.
Just drive a tank m8, it`s all you russians drive.
Cheers!
Nice review but you need a new suit
Suzzi
Xxxl
LondonarabS hah =) why is that, due to the weather? ;)
Nice little car but i think that Honda Jazz is a better choice :)
Can you make skoda fabia combi/estate??
+Nejc Voh seen our most recent fabia review?
Why does he always recommend the 1.2 litre turbo engine when the 1.0 has more bhp 110 compared to 90)?
more power, more fun. But the 1.0 MPI has the advantage that it has no turbo, one piece less to possibly break
1.0 liter engine is a joke.. and if u want a decent motor you need to go to a higher trim level..-> and you have something as expensive as a megane or i30 or a focus..
nice car, but a bit tight for legs at the back
one word answer: Fiesta vs Fabia?
Fabia
I prefer Fabia! Fiesta is ok! It's my second choice in this segment but I don't like it's aesthetics. Somehow the fiesta reminds me a dead fish!
we look at the same
kartoffel
Ugly and boooring car...
