Shibazakura Festival 2024

Japan’s largest Shibazakura festival, Fuji Shibazakura Matsuri, is located at Fuji Motosuko Resort, near Mt. Fuji and Lake Motosuko (One of the Fuji Five Lakes) in Yamanashi prefecture.
Shibazakura is a pink phlox moss whose flowers have 5 petals, just like sakura. Approximately 800,000 Shibazakura plants cover 2.4 hectares. The best time to see Shibazakura at Fuji Motosuko Resort is between late April and the first week of May. In addition to the pink carpet of millions of pink phlox mosses, you will enjoy gorgeous views of Mt. Fuji, the largest Peter's Rabbit English Garden and Cafe.
