My LED contact are a combination of ultra and flowtoys using Ultraknob pros, FPC tethers with a capsule 2.0 crammed into the 97mm ultrapoi head. Heads weigh out at 190g. Which is the exact same weight as my lasternsmiths that I modified to also fit FPC(:
Spin9's with capsule handles are in the mail(:

What about the static rope fire poi from JugglingCalling? Do you ever use them still? 😊

I don’t think I’ve picked them up in years at this point. They’re not a bad product by any means, but I find they’re not a good fit for my style of flow. Static tethers are a great fit for people who want more consistent throws, but getting throws with poi to look like throwing clubs isn’t really all that important to my style. Speed and response are and static tethers tend to add enough weight and resistance to the tethers that they’re not as responsive as I’d like.

@DrexFactor thank you so much for your reply Drex!
So basically, if there's nothing in my style that specifically calls for static ropes, and I don't have any static ropes on either of my regular poi, then a pair of his technora tethers will probably fit me better? I do like throws but more in terms of no-beats and throws where I spin the poi in the air and not so much where they act like clubs.. I think 🤔
Did you ever try the regular technora poi from Juggling Calling?

Super curious, why the hesitation about removing the fire poi from the head covers? Just worried about getting soot everywhere?
Also +1 to having covers. Homemade ones are easy to make, Ive also seen people use socks/baby socks as covers.

Yeah, it’s the soot. It’s a Neurodivergent thing I’ve had since I was a little kid: I can’t stand having stuff on my hands. I wash them constantly and tend to keep wet wipes on me when I go out. Apparently once in preschool there was a day when they tried to have all of us finger paint with chocolate pudding and I had an absolute meltdown and would not do it 😂

I keep breaking the lights for the ultra poi pros. Idk how if I spin to fast the chip inside keeps breaking. I’ve went through 6-7 pairs of lights within 1 year

Same thing happened a week after I got mine. Ended up putting capsule 2.0'S in the ultrapoi heads. Works GREAT!
