TPLF did NOT take over the Ethiopian palace or Mekelle, but the Ethiopian troops pulled out of Tigray without firing a shot to give peace negotiations a chance, upon USA request.

Truth be told, when it comes to heroism and resilience no one compares to Tigrayans. Demographically it is a small population, but even the combined army of Eritrea and Ethiopia, with all the sheer violence, could not bring any political change. TPLF will be there to exist, and Tigray a small nation has made an international deal with Ethiopia. The implementation of the Pretoria deal will restore the status quo ante.So what has the war amount to? Nothing!! If Ethiopians want to celebrate their genocide in Tigray--then that is what they have in actuality accomplished from the war. Tigrayan moral and spirit is there, inspite of all the damage done to break it. Tigrayans have vindicated to the world that TPLF is their business alone. No one but them would decidr by whom they should be ruled. The war brought Ethiopia international condemnation, huge economic downfall and now a crime of Genocide. What has Ethiopia gained politically...nothing!!! Ethiopia did all to alienenateTigray, and as a result Tigrayans no more want anything to do with Ethiopia. They feel deeply betrayed. For your information Pekka Havisto, the FM of Finland earlier disclosed that Ethiopian leadership had vowed "to wipe out Tigrayans". Now unless you tag the Finnish FM a Junta he has no reason to make such an extraordinary claim, unless he was told so by the authorities.
