Good job on the cable swap,I’ve done that job before and the Edson is exactly the same.if you pull the cable down it’s easier them come back up from the bottom with the new cables and put one on each side of the steering shaft as it’s all the way up.But you did great I think 🤔
I just did a similar job. All my bolts broke. I had to drill them all out and retap. It took two weeks. Glad yours was easier.
What a nightmare. I'm glad I got lucky.
Thank you for this wonderful video. It helped me to decide whether to start a similar job on my boat now. I postponed to after this summers season 😅
Your welcome, I would also replace the nylon engine control cable clamp while you have it all apart. Ours ended breaking a few weeks later. Good luck!

That probably would have been easier, so far so good!
Did the same job recently on my boat. One thing I noticed is that the cables can overtravel, depending on which hole in the lever you use.
We actually had to take it back apart and put them on the other holes...
Loved the banter so I've subscribed. A shit job, but you managed it without killing your wife! 🙂
Thanks, we appreciate it. Living together on a small boat and then doing boat projects can really test your relationship.
