You have to go to Grumari, even more west from Recreio.
Yes maybe one day I will go there.
2:36 In my mind this part is still Barra🤣 I don’t feel like I’m really in Recreio until after I pass that mountain where the sand from the beach connects to it. I usually get an airbnb up that way because you don’t have a busy street separating the residents from the beach.
Thank you for sharing Nick! I’ve always thought this area was quieter but I was wrong after having seen your video! Please keep exploring!👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it. I thought it was quieter too but I guess it can get pack especially on national holidays.
I have spent a lot of time here. it's come a long way since early 2000's. its nice to live in but I just feel not too much to do if youre a single guy....but its great if you're settled and with kids.
4:08 Dude you have to go more often that beach is usually crowded on the weekends if it’s nice. I’ve been here more than Copa and the majority of the times it was fairly crowded. I mean it’s not crowded like Copacabana is but it was rarely empty there unless it was raining or during a week day.
This small plane Favela is called Terreirão, and you should check it out Vargem Grande, not far from Recreio, also a good place to live, i have a piece of land over there.
I knew there was a favela close by and I have no problem visiting one but filming could be complicated. I felt safe in that area either way.
I see you get it🙌🏽. This is by far my favorite part of Rio and I would love to buy a property there.
@@chrisbrown8748 Well there are new properties being built so you'll have a lot more options.
Av Das Americas has more restaurants and places to go. Also check out Recreio Shopping. Then Barra shopping the huge mall is a shirt bus journey away
I've been all over Barra but did not spend much time on av das Americas in Recreio.
Those beaches past Recreio are the nicest in Rio (Prainha Grumari, and the other secret beaches). A bit far from the city though.
Yeah it's quite far from the city but the beaches are worth it to spend the day.
Brazilians be like "whats up with that gringo and his camera" 😂😂😂 like theyve never seen anyone vlogging before
I went to that beach a couple of times when I was a kid, nothings changed too much apparently
Yeah so many but it doesn't phase me. Even had a few wanting to be on camera lol
@nicktalksbrazil man you truly have balls of titanium 🤣

17:42 it's not a favela. just residential area. nothing to worry about.
Was never worried. I've been inside one of the biggest before and will go to two more soon.
@@nickmusttravel no problem. just saying its a normal street. it's busy with people walking to the beach. plenty of surf shops on there
@@Black-Circle I only figured it was close to a favela because a lot of people looked like they could be from there. From my experience.
