Sorry Josh, but your wrong as far as Michigan wins are concerned. Their is legitimate plays that you see stallions telling the defensive coach the play, then Michigan setting up perfect defenses to stop it for loss where 3 or 4 defensive players are open and moving appropriately to stop it. That's just the defense alone. If those plays change 8 first downs or maybe 2 touchdowns a game, that's a huge difference in some cases

Love you Pate (you’re the goat), but I don’t care if stallions had nothing to do with Michigan beating osu in the last minute or bama in come back fashion. Pretty sure Michigan’s record when stallions came on staff went from mid to like crazy good. That totally changed the trajectory of the program and helped give Michigan tons of momentum getting top Olineman in the portal etc. Their roster this past year was a direct result of wins that stallions helped Michigan get the previous 2 years. It’s a big advantage when you occasionally know what the opposition is doing. Also, I just think having a coach on another teams sideline is just so far over the line it’s crazy. Jmo

What do you think about the chaos possibilities of multiple one loss Big12 teams? The top 5-6 don’t have many games against each other. Only two could play for the championship. Does that tiebreaker eliminate one of the teams from the playoffs? Would a one loss nonchampionship Big12 team take a playoff spot from say a 4th place sec or b1g team?
In my opinion the default breakdown is 4-4-1-1-1-1; sec, B1G, ND, acc, Big12, g5. Any additional teams from the bottom 3 means stealing a spot from the top 3.

If Rutgers goes undefeated (highly unlikely, but not impossible, given the relatively weak schedule), they will make the B1G championship game, and win or lose, make the playoff. Rutgers could make the playoff if they go 11-1 regular season (quite possible, given the schedule), and at 8-1 in conference, could slip ahead of whoever is 2nd best among tOSU/Oregon/Michigan/Penn State/Iowa/USC, who could beat each other up to the point that only one team from that group finishes with less than 2 conference losses (possible-basically all you need is for the loser of tOSU-Oregon game to lose one other conference game). Even if Rutgers gets beaten (maybe not blown out, but beaten) in the B1G Championship, 11-2 with a championship game appearance would likely get them into the playoff.
Even if Rutgers goes 11-1 but misses the B1G playoff, due to tie-breakers with a 1- loss Oregon, Ohio St., etc, they would be 3rd place in the B1G, and very hard to exclude from the playoff. At 10-2, Rutgers probably doesn’t make it, but there are a few scenarios where they actually might (especially if the teams on their schedule perform above expectations, thus raising the end-of-year SOS rank from 62 to 26, or so).

Hey Josh, been a fan for years, I know you’re a smart guy that can do basic math, so let’s do a basic math exercise.
    Conner Stallions Michigan salary: $55,000/yr
    55,000 x 3 = $165,000 (before taxes)
    (Being VERY conservative with prices)
    Lower bowl tickets: 58 x 500 = $29,000
    Hotels: 58 x 200 = 11,600
    Flights: 58 x 200 = 11,600
    Total: $52,200
That’s assuming he bought ONE ticket, did everything alone and didn’t hire/pay anyone to go to games for him (which we know he did). Stallions did not “act alone” he was funded from above. I know you’re smart enough to know that.

Regardless of the Michigan situation the NCAA has very little integrity and its amazing how some fan bases pick and choose when they want to back/support the NCAA. Circling back to the Michigan situation, its apparent at this point, that Michigan is guilty of something pertaining to "advanced scouting" to what degree is yet to be determined. EVERYONE needs to take their blinders off or put your obsessed fandomness away for a minute Michigan fans - UM is guilty of something and yes it probably played a roll in the last several seasons. Was it the only reason Michigan was so successful that past 3 years? (heres where non Michigan fans take a breathe and use logic) The reasonable answer is no, it wasnt the only reason they were successful BUT (Michigan fans listen up) it most definitely played a very important role in helping them. The great debate and unanswerable question really is how can you quantify how much it helped them (on a game by game basis) One can say clearly pre Stallions they were a 8-10 win program and then 11-13 win program so looks like it helped them win an extra 2/3 games a year. Possibly but that's a very broad view and its likely not that simple. If someone looks at Michigan's games post Stallions leaving and the world knowing about the alleged sign stealing plot in which the teams SHOULD have changed their signals/signs Michigan still played well and won.
Here is how this will play out. NON-Michigan fans will always feel/say Michigan cheated and their past 3 seasons should be vacated along with their championships. They will hold this opinion forever mostly because they just dont like Michigan, which is fine.
Conversely, Michigan fans will most likely never fully admit how impactful the "advanced scouting" was towards their successful run.
The two sides will never agree and the truth or most reasonable outcome is probably somewhere in the middle like with most things.

In 2021 the NCAA tried to remove in person scouting from the rule books (as in being wrong or illegal), the reason being it provided minimal competitive advantage (their words). It was voted down by the conferences. My only point is that even the NCAA doesn't think it is that serious, though that said, rules are rules, so an appropriate penalty should be issued. It is kind of crazy how many people are acting like it is the be all end all of why Michigan won.
The bigger issue is non compliance, imo. Though it is the NCAA, so I can't say I care for them. Also, I don't think it matter much between electronic recording and manual, just hire a few more peeps to watch.

I love the show Josh, but your take on Michigan is a huge miss. Their season has a huge asterisk next to it. And if the investigation said they cheated on games, those wins need to be vacated.

Journalist : how much did the sign stealing stuff effect this game in your opinion ?
Purdue qb in interview after a beat down by Michigan , and a week of his coach running the mouth: oh that doesn’t really affect it at all. We change our signs every week anyway. So not really at all
I don’t defend knowingly breaking rules . But punishment must fit the crime .

How does Connor Stallions do this on his own? Stallions went to 58 stadiums, and had others help him. And sat in lower bowl seats to film the opposition. That's not cheap. Someone funded his endeavors. And how does he get on the sideline with CMU all by himself? Oh yeah, CMU just fired the coach (ex-UM coach) who let him on the field. NOT ALONE.
As for "this doesn't taint what they did". So if your basketball team paid all the players when it was not allowed, and your team won a Natty? Does the fact the program cheated to win it, despite the players being great enough to win it, not ruin the championship?
And who knows how much the cheating helped. Players on MSU said in 2022 that Michigan seemed to know their plays.
    Regardless, you cheat, you're dirty.
You want to put up Michigan's schedule to prove they would have won regardless....ya notice after Stallions was outted, the games became much closer??? You notice JJ McCarthy's stats dropped off a cliff? Maryland almost beat UofM.
But you're likely right, money rules in this horrific society. You can cheat all you want if you're bring the mega dollars to the conference. I mean B1G teams are kinda quiet because they got a kickback from UofM winning the Natty. All teams got paid despite UofM crapping on the conference.

I just don’t know how Texas can go 11-1 this year with ewers. He’s the reason they didn’t win the natty last year. Yes he played the game of his life against bama by throwing 2 perfect deep balls. Rest of the season just seemed eh. I think they’ll find issues replacing 2 nfl dtackles and 2 nfl wrs and an nfl rb. I think this might bring us back to the annual overrated Texas team and they go 8-4

WTF Pate??? Stallions didn’t have anything to do with Mich KNOWING the other damn teams play signs???? Uh yea that helped in ALL of those instances you listed! They might have still won in all those instances BUT they cheated and everyone knows it!

What is Josh's source for his claim that screenshat is the past tense of screenshot? I cannot find any confirmation of that. After spending too much time perusing the internet, I find screenshotted is the correct English, though that seems rather awkward. When I search for screenshat I'm told it is not an accepted word in English. It makes me crazy everytime he makes this claim, since I find zero support for this and fairly widespread support for screenshotted. I don't like either word, but I'll go with whatever is proven proper English. Prove it, Josh, and I'll join you. But until then, it's screenshotted.

Even if they don't vacate the championship, everyone outside their fanbase will have an asterisk on it. That's not the same but it's OK with me since they haven't won one sine leather helmets were a thing lol
