Malcolm X once said "If there were ten men like Adam Clayton Powell in Washington, I'd retire." Nuff said.

Yup because that means Malcolm wouldn’t have had to fight the black revolution fight because there were more political figures actually doing it

Over 50 yrs. of boldness and truth. We need more of him. The kind that the white man fears. He's right about a sick society that we still suffer. A great leader he was! Wow! Obey God and not man! Be a human being that dares. Bc of our minority we still struggle! Being black is a way of thinking. Agree wholeheartedly. Learning of him has been a pleasure!

Its sad blacks don’t hold enough seats in the house to keep people like Powell in office fighting for us. Therefore when votes and legislation passes we are outnumbered and still in the same powerless predicament.

He was a great communicator, as good as the House of Congress has ever seen. This individual presided over Harlem, NY. And it was the most progressive African American city in America. I can only imagine what his speeches sound like and the impact they had on an all white audience during his period. He's had weaknesses like all men do. The government would eventually seek to destroy him, much like the government is trying its best to do to Donald Trump, 2023.
