What great timing!! I just started infusing rosemary in oil to make an herbal soap! 😊 (The other herbs being Rose Hips and Red Clover - all things I foraged in the woods!) Thank you Rosalee for sharing all your amazing knowledge!!
I've loved Rosemary for a very long time. It smells divine and is a yummy herb to drink, as an essential oil in recipes, for the scalp, to cook with etc. ❤ I love growing it and for dried I sometimes buy from Mountain Rose Herbs.
I've been using rosemary essential oil in my hair mix for a while now. Love it! I purchased the book a while ago but haven't gone through it. This is a great reminder to take it off the shelf! New year project 🥰 thank you for all you do.
What a great informational video. You're very pleasant in your presentation as well, and I'm so glad to showed up in my suggested videos! That sweater is what caught my eye though! It's gorgeous. I crochet (even as I watch this) and I'm guessing yours is knit...or something beyond my skill level. It looks lovely on you! My dad has Dementia... It is my belief that rosemary sure can't hurt on so many levels. I grind rosemary up in a coffee grinder and mix it with olive oil of whipped butter. It's such an amazing herb!
Awww, thanks for your kind words and sharing and welcome to the channel. Yay for rosemary! And yes, my sweater is hand knit by me, a bit of an obsession.
Greetings Rosalee! 🌿I always look forward to your RUclips videos. I learn something new about the plants every time. It goes to show...healing properties of herbs are not exhaustive. We're always discovering something else about plants everyday!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! 🧡🍁🍂
Loved this video and the flowers aside you! I use rosemary in cooking all the time and when I share my meals w/ family they always rave on how delicious and different the meal is beyond what they're use to. They always act astonished when I describe what I incorporate. Its so beautiful to witness their amazement. ❤❤❤
What a wonderful channel, have no idea how I stumbled onto this, thank you for what you are graciously teaching and giving (freely) to all who stumble over your way. I have ordered your book "Alchemy of Herbs" and signed up for your emails. I am so eagerly to grow in how I can aid those around me with simplicities to living healthy, joyful lives. Despite what is literally dumped on us. Thank you =o)
Rosemary is one of my favorite herbs. I absolutely love the smell. I live in the North East and have about five rosemary plants but they have never bloomed or looked as beautiful as the photos you showed. I’ll keep enjoying it anyhow. I love rosemary and lemon. I love it cold with a touch of honey. It’s a refreshing rosemary lemonade 😊Thank you for your great videos. I also love your books.
Rosemary can survive in a lot of climates but they thrive in heat and dryness. My rosemary plants never look as stellar as they do in mediterranean climates, but I love them all the same! Thanks for sharing!
Your book was a Christmas gift that I requested from my son. I excited to be able to read it along with your videos! I always learn something and as an organic gardener, I am excited to use this knowledge. Happy 2024!
I love your new look long hair. It suits you very well. Thank you for your book I bought recently and this rosemary video. I mince rosemary to use in soups. There's lots of rosemary growing in a park garden I frequent regularly. I always run my hands through some as I wait for a bus.
I have used Rosemary as a soak for sprained ankles in the past and hand pain (arthritis or injury) more recently. I use a pan large enough to soak in, a good amount of water, herb, with stems, bring to boil, then use as soak. I find I can heat it up 3 or 4 times. Luckily I have a friend who has a very large bush! Improves pain and swelling. The water turns a beautiful shade of red, I think it could probably be used to stain papers, if you are interested!
I only found you and your channel today. I am thrilled, love how much I have learned already. You are an amazing teacher Rosalee, thank you soooo much 🙏❤️✨. Lots of love from 🇬🇧
I keep rosemary on my window sill. I eat a leaf or two a day because I like it and I've heard of the benefits in passing. This video helps me enjoy eating it even more. Thank you!
What a lovely video and Dahlia and recipes and pullover. Can you please let me know what's the name of the pattern? Thank you very much. Can't wait for a new video.
Just so happens I have a simmer pot, complete with fresh Rosemary sprigs, simmering on my stovetop as I am watching this video! Delightful!!! Thank you for sharing your passion and knowledge with us! I've used your methods for making Rosemary Oil and am enjoying using it to promote hair growth. Wondering...what do you recommend as the best way to use Rosemary for enhanced cognitive function???
There are slightly different varieties available. If you are choosing rosemary to grow I would go by scent and by the USDA hardiness zone. If you are simply wondering about what to buy dried, always choose the freshest and most aromatic.
@@HerbsWithRosalee Thank you very much 😊 I actually bought a Rosemary plant from Bonnie plants, i would rather have found a good actual organic plant but I had not found any near me so I bought it and planted it thinking I'll find a better plant or good seeds later. After watching your video i thought maybe i should pull it up and get rid of it. What would you do ?
Our pygmy goats love to use our rosemary shrub trees to scrub their heads. They invariably break off small limbs, so in the sprigs go to dry & use. My better half makes an amazing rosemary roast chicken. Rosemary is definitely one of our favorites.
Here's my cooking tip. When making soup and it's pretty good, but something is missing and you can't put your finger on it... Rosemary!
Love it!

Thank you for this very helpful video. I am fighting high blood pressure. This video has provided a new lead in my battle. Thanks again.
Infused dry rosemary with Avocado oil is wonderful for hair.
Love you very educational information ❤
I’ve used rosemary oil on bug bites too!
Thank you so much !
I want a rosemary plant but they always seem to die on me. Ugh.
They don’t like wet roots. Pay on a bed of rocks
, spritz the leaves.
I’ll try that. Thank you so much. Fingers crossed
I love you and appreciate your newsletter.
Oh thank you!

The pullover is Love Note by Tin Can Knits, I've made 9 of them! :)
Simply beautiful. I think I'll make at least one myself. Thank you. 🙂

I can’t remember if you had bangs before but your hair is cute!
Oh thank you! I got them by accident by cutting my own hair in frustration one day and then decided to keep them. :)
6:03 I love the flowers. What's the name?
I have never seen my Rosemary have purple flowers
They are small and sometimes more blue than purple.

Where do I buy your books? Amazon?
Yes, wherever books are sold. They are on Amazon and they can also be ordered in to local bookstores.
how can i take rosmeray for memory ?
All the ways! I love to include rosemary in foods, but sometimes a tea is the best way because it's so simple and easy to take every day.
I chew a twig of it every mor ing
In the monring, I steep 1:1 mixture of dried ginger and dried rosemary leaves for about 30-40 minutes before drinking. Delicious!
