There is a big backstory to this but I wanted to let you know this. Tonight as I drove home I cried out to God asking for Him to send me a message on how to start reading the Bible, really reading it and studying it and understanding it. I was previously listening to the 4 gospels and was so confused and couldn't understand them, that's when I couldn't stop crying and prayed for help and to please send me a good message on where to start, what this all means and how to break it all down. I then clicked here after 15 to 20 minutes of really praying about it. Your video was for me! I know God sent this to me. I was completely calm in listening to this and I knew it was Him. Keep sharing the good stuff❤
I wanted to grow closer to God thus started reading the Bible. I started at the old testament. However, I felt stuck and uninspired to continue reading. I was actually planning to ask someone exactly what you said in the video. God has heard my prayers 🙌. Thank you so much, Mia!
I converted to Christianity when I was 5 years old and I remember my mom would read the scriptures to me before bed. We usually read the Old Testament and I particularly enjoyed reading Esther, Daniel, and Exodus. Then about a year ago I decided I wanted to get back into reading the Bible on my own and I’m currently reading the book of John. And I am so glad I got into reading the Bible again. I’ve always considered myself a strong Christian but I often feel a sense of guilt for not having read my Bible for years on my own. The Bible is so refreshing and it can get really addicting. Time seems to fly by after reading for a little while. Even as a person who has been raised as a Christian her entire life, this video was still super helpful! I’m excited to read through some commentaries as I get through each book. Thank you 💜 God bless
I’ve always struggled with sticking to the time and a,ways forget and or just not doing it. I’ve gotten better but it’s not easy. For beginners I would set an alarm and then lock everything up or put the things that distract you in an another room and just set time then. Reading everyday is a big commitment but you got this!

I just circle a bible verse that stands out the most to me, and go back to the start of the Bible and highlight the chapters that I just circled, and at my church for this thing all charged up we were giving a book mark of bible chapters from Old Testament to New Testament so I might start using the book mark to get me into reading the Bible one day at a time I love your channel so much
I'm up to "Where to Start" and have to agree with you. Recently I was bemoaning the fact that after becoming a Christian in 1975, I felt as if I'm just getting started. Then I heard a wonderful Bible teacher called Derek Prince say, "After 45 years of intensive Bible Study, I've barely scratched the surface. Looking on your window ledge, I'm reminded of that unwritten commandment, "Covet not thy neighbours highlighter pens, nor their study Bible...nor their tidy work area..." I agree with you regarding the Gospels. Also, I like your methodical study tips. If you're looking for another Bible Study tool, I'd recommend these two: 1. An app called Logos (there's a free version that does everything need.) 2. Study bibles like the McArthur or the Jeremiah Study Bible. My takeout from this video: Write down questions as I go in my journal. 🤦 D'oh! I should have started doing that back in '75!

Thank you so much, I've always wanted to be close to God but never have known how because I live with my dad because my parents are divorced and my dad does not believe in the holy. My mom didn't for quite a while until she met my stepdad her fiance right now, and his family is big into religion and the gospel and the Bible. But we were very close for so many years until recent couple of months I've decided I want to get close to God. Because I have seen what he's done to people's lives and how much he's changed them for the better good, and it makes me so happy.

Yay I’m so happy for you, following Christ is the best decision, and the Lord will guide you and help you on this walk! 🤍 I definitely encourage you to pray before reading the word, asking the Lord to give you wisdom and understanding and that the Holy Spirit will teach you when reading the Bible. In John 14:26 Jesus says: “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” The Holy Spirit is the best teacher and :)) and it’s nice to lean and depend on God during times where we are unsure about something and just in general 💟 for He will give us understanding and wisdom.

Ive been a Christian for my whole life since its what my parents raised me with so im pretty used to hearing about it but ive had this stress when trying to learn about it myself. It seems like such an important book and it is but that can be kind of intimidating sometimes and this makes reading it feel more fun and casual ^^ ❤ ✝️
I haven’t had much of a personal in person guide since I have been delivered and welcomed god back into my life starting from the month of April , but I know In this time where im at I wish to grow closer to him and that took me too doing it myself of taking that step of looking for resources myself and looking up videos as such as this one thank you RUclips and Mia with this sort of specific information. That is broad and bold and quit frankly not explained clearer to new and old believers .

I don't like organized religion... Man-made churches have failed to reach inner city and many other places...for example... only 5 percent of long Islanders go to church... It's amazing I have been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out where to start and how to actually get going on reading the bible. Watching Bible study videos but still left scratching my head and then God show me this channel and open up his voice through this young lady. Thank you ! Amen

Ive been a Christian for my whole life since its what my parents raised me with so im pretty used to hearing about it but ive had this stress when trying to learn about it myself. It seems like such an important book and it is but that can be kind of intimidating sometimes and this makes reading it feel more fun and casual ^^ ❤ ✝️
I haven’t had much of a personal in person guide since I have been delivered and welcomed god back into my life starting from the month of April , but I know In this time where im at I wish to grow closer to him and that took me too doing it myself of taking that step of looking for resources myself and looking up videos as such as this one thank you RUclips and Mia with this sort of specific information. That is broad and bold and quit frankly not explained clearer to new and old believers .
To grow themselves personally closer to God. :)

I don't like organized religion... Man-made churches have failed to reach inner city and many other places...for example... only 5 percent of long Islanders go to church... I cannot except that statistic so I'm trying to start my own ministry...BY THE GRACE OF GOD I'LL GET THERE 😃
