I had a first or second year Diavel for a bit and test rode a X later. The bike is not good idea for long rides. Really, really harsh ride. A hoot to ride though….for 20 minutes
As the owner of a 2020 XDs, let me chime in. A. There is a quick shifter in the lineup and it’s standard on the Diavel 1260 version. It can also be added to the XD after purchase. B. As much as I loved mine in stock form, it really changed its whole demeanor once fitted with the Termi and upmap.
I hated the termis. I got the bike pre-owned and this thing was just uncomfortably loud for me. I'm now going at it again after HD Fat Bob, but this time zero miles and a nicely serviced new one.
@@minskwatcher The Termi comes with DB silencers that can be installed for reduced noise. HD is crap considering they’re overpriced and lack technology
Was very close to get the X but then I decided to go with the 1260S and I never regretted that. It’s a fantastic dream bike. I love the Diavel so much. Congratulations to your new X.
Great review. Had Harley's all my life and rode the XdiavelS 6 months ago. Just traded the HD for it. Couldn't be happier - it's a joy and revelation to ride and makes old school cruisers feel like an unengaging dinosaur. Used to live in Germany and out of interest where are you filming? Looks a lot like the Taunus where I used to be.
Happy Birthday Scott! From beautiful Bronx New York. Thanks for all the great videos. Alles Gute zum Geburtstag Scott! danke für all die tollen videos.
Hope you enjoyed your ride on the DiavelX? It is a worthy Birthday present! Here in Melbourne, Australia the weather isn't as nice as in the region you currently are in. Watching your informative reports warm me up, and really look forward to just getting out and enjoying the experience of being on two wheels. Take care and ride safe, regards, Robert Huber.
Love your videos! One thing that I would love to see in the charts if you can find space is power to weight ratios. In a vid like this especially it would help to better understand the comparison between the Ducati and the R3. I need to get over there and explore. Those roads look so beautiful. Keep the vids coming brother!
man i lived in germany for 4 years and that was the best riding of my life, such perfect roads, so beautiful. I have a Nera on order and am considering cancelling it and going with an M4 instead, because living here in Houston it's just not the same for riding. If I were still in germany, that decision would be much more difficult. Have fn!
Beautiful bike. I bought a 2016 Ducati XDiavel S for $14,500 like new with a couple thousand miles on it back in 2017, sickest deal I ever got. That bike is soul stirring. The L-Twin engine is amazing with amazing feel. I'm sorry I sold it in less than a year. However, I didn't trust the reliability even though it came with a factory warranty. Rear brake failed, common problem. I'm too cheap for Ducati. If Yamaha built that same bike I would buy it n a heartbeat and keep it forever. Sick bike.
Happy birthday Scott. Nice birthday present to yourself. The rear wheel is wow. From your chart I didn't realise the Yamaha VMax was so powerful. I thought it was only about 80bhp but obviously not!
Beautiful country riding and an even handed review. Also, I added an IRC quickshifter to mine, and it really improved the full throttle riding experience. Just have a friend on hand for suicide watch, when you try to install it.
Happy birthday Mr. Scott, I always enjoy your video with great editing and best quality. Also love your experienced professional reviews. Thanks a lot and looking forward to viewing your new videos!!
LOL, yea, I'd probably never own a bike this extreme, so it's nice to treat one-self every once in a while to it. And all the "Planets aligned" for me to set this up on my actual bday, I actually didn't know I'd get to do it on my bday till about 3-4 days before, so it was really a surprise. 😁😊
Happy birthday! It’s your birthday but we get the presents with this Ducati review -wonderful!! That is one angry looking bike As a cruiser, scale 1 to 10 how comfortable was it for you ? Big fan of channel! USA
Thank you! I'd give it about a 5 but my experience on power cruisers is limited to a very few. I'd say it's more comfortable then the Triumph Rocket and a lot lighter too. take care, Scott
Happy birthday, Scott. If there was ever a cruiser that could lure me back to the cruiser scene (there isn’t), it’d be this one.
Id love one for a dream garage
But only in red!

@@your_royal_highnessthe 1260 Diavel S is much better. I drove over 500km in one day and it was fantastic.

Nice video of the Diavel, I want one now😀
I bought me a 2022 XDiavel Dark for my birthday. Loving it so far! FYI, the X is much louder with the Termi pipes and it sounds fantastico!

Yamaha did, VMAX but they stopped making it in 2020 🙁😒
I know you loved that bike surprised you sold it !
Happy Birthday ! Enjoy your new present.

Nice bike. Took one for a test ride a couple of years ago. Most impressive. To pricey for me, though. Happy birthday!

Happy birthday Scott. Nice birthday present to yourself. The rear wheel is wow. From your chart I didn't realise the Yamaha VMax was so powerful. I thought it was only about 80bhp but obviously not!
lol 80hp is what the VMax comes at idle rpm, slightly above 1000 rpm
Happy birthday! Love the review!
