I worked with a low scoring open class corp this summer, so we were pretty much the first ones on at every show, and no joke: No matter how early we showed up, Spartans were already set up in the lot warming up. That's dedication. Such a well deserved victory for them this year.
I cant speak for Gold, but I would rather that Spartans remains open class. A lot of us can’t afford the high tuition costs that comes with being a world class corp. Also, being in open class makes us a lot more accessible for rookies and beginners. You don’t need to be a world class corp to be good, and we’re doing great right where we are :)
