- The DCS Hornet AMRAAM Ripple technique with the AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air missile is a powerful way to engage multiple targets with the F18 Hornet's massive AMRAAM loadout. We use the Hornet's radar in TWS mode for Track While Scan engagement of multiple hostiles. The F/A18C Hornet is uniquely suited to this type of rapid-fire engagement. This tutorial shows you how to bug targets in TWS, how to quickly switch between bugged TWS targets, and how to ripple the AMRAAM in the Hornet.

You got some balls having that strong of a lisp and making a series called "DCS in 3 or less" LOL. Great vid!
This is a backhanded compliment. Congrats on being a douche.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks for all your videos dude. You're the unofficial flight instructor for a lot of us out here. Much appreciated sir, thanks again.
These really are great. Perfect to throw on in the cockpit to relearn things quickly on the fly, or learn things for the first time. Thanks!
Big love bro

Great 3 minutes!
thank you very much for that, very on point, I got this.
How do you get the targeting laser in to be bugged? I can never find out how to select the target and get them as a box on my screen
Thank you for your GREAT channel. Can you please do this for the Falcon too?
Looking to do that for next week's vid!
Thank you! Is there a tutorial on the radar azimuth view?
FYI everything but the SCAN RAID can be done in RWS too.
Once the missile symbology goes from counting down ac to tg or whatever the symbology is, I can fully break radar lock, and fly away, right?
as in when it's gone fully active - yeah....
@@GotSpaceGame k cheers. Saw another great video of how to do this properly when nose to nose closing in on a (AI) target closing in on you as well. I was just flying straight praying my missiles kills him before his kills me and it was also a 50/50 thing. TorniQuetHD had this awesome tutorial about the aim120c where you soft lock in TWS, then turn to move the target to the very left (or right) edge of your radar, then as you get close to optimal firing range, quickly turn back again, while transitioning him through the middle of your radar fire at him, keep turning away until he's on the other edge of your radar. Basically means you evade his missile while yours still gets shot off at the optimal angle during a wide turn. By the time you've finished this "zig zag" your aim120 has already gone to 'ttg' mode not requiring your radar anymore (I think..)
how do we unock a target & also stop the radar moving up & down vertically on the lafet side if mfd?
how does 1 lock multiple targets?
In TWS you "bug" a target rather than locking it .. the difference is that the radar is still tracking everything it can see, it's just marked out one specific contact to get an AIM120 to the face. You can only bug one at a time, but pressing NWS is a very quick way of cycling between which contact is currently bugged, so you can use that to fire missiles at the whole group quickly.
ok so in TWS I notice it likes to 'auto bug' target's, is that supposed to b the case?@@GotSpaceGame
