I kid of agree but I feel BB hasn't accepted or understood that without Scott, he wouldn't be where he is now ! and that he owes Scotty friendship and loyalty. If I was to saying anything BB man up and make it right with Scott, you have your life because of him, he did so much for you, of course he feels betrayed, and you will regret the friendship years down the line.

Ever since Scott has been injured he has been left out. He was the best one in the group on his bike. After his injury, he was left out of the mix and became a background person. Big boy was probably the last thing Scott had and honestly wanted Big Boy to follow Scott’s footsteps. Buying the house in Florida was probably what started the disconnect. That’s probably when the downfall started but kinda sad. I’ve been watching for years and since before the accident had happened. Watching them split is hella depressing
Not sure I agree. Big Boy was on the channel because, in Scotty's hands, Big Boy was a draw. It was fun to watch that clown fall and act like a total head case all the time. But it was also fun to watch him improve, too. With Scotty's guidance, we saw that. He was able to control Big Boy's chaotic nature and mold it into something. Big Boy is a better rider than he was a few years ago because of it. But Scotty has other options for sure!

This isnt beef. This is two good friends each not seeing each other's perspectives and not talking it out and not discussing things until it becomes way way bigger than it ever should have got.. Scotty is understandably going through something horrible and life changing. Probably felt left behind by all his friends. dealing with depression and anxiety. i see both sides and neither is wrong. this never shouldve gotten this big. Youre both seemingly good people at heart and i hope this gets squashed.
Agreed. I watched these channels from video 1 to now. I think sometimes it has to do with having bad depression days this time for scott. Theres no doubt in my mind that scotty leaned on all his friends during recovery seeing them do what he couldnt and supporting the hell put of them was humbling to scott and I dunno if anyone else realized it. He went from being the best and knowing it to being humble and supportive. I think sometimes not having the friends around and not keeping that same dynamic probably caused him to think more on how much progress he has made and maybe he felt like it wasnt where he wanted it to he, and that people were taking their ability for granted. That's a big subconscious thing for people who used to be able bodied. 2020 was rough for everyone and this probably played into the issues. Love stays love. I have faith they will work it out ♡
@@jessikanichole2272 I completely agree, I think Scotty's injury has way more to do with it than he realises. I would imagine that it is catching up with him a bit now. Especially as his progress will have slowed and some of the post-injury recovery has probably become less exciting and more frustrating as he realises his limits.

To be fair if Scotty is in fact actually completely blanking him (which is pretty immature IMO) then BB has no other choice. I respect him for staying quiet about it until now, if it's the case that they started to not get on but then Scotty completely blanks BB and leaves BB wondering where his next paycheque will come from (which also makes sense if, as BB said, Scotty never shared any business stuff like him such as what % cut he was even getting) then BB is left in a vulnerable situation but still never spoke out against Scotty until now which I respect. Scotty can't call BB his channel partner while not keeping him in the loop on this stuff and then taking away his livelihood with no warning. Nobody wants to exist in that kind of power dynamic. Of course, we're still missing a huge part of the story so there could be even more to it.
Never forget where you came from, and how much Scotty changed and motivated you. I remember the big boy that never wanted to ride and how Scotty seemed determined to help you.

Exactly, this isnt a zero sum game, where one loses and the other wins. People are literally starving for more content for the viewing pleasure. If anything views of one will watch the other and vise versa. Not like I am limited to watching Just Be Weird or Scotty Cranmer show. If anything it gives me two shows to watch during the week to fill my content void. the Jealousy and greed makes no sense at all. The two channels could literally grow off of one another.

If Scotty actually ghosted him then that really sucks. Regardless of whatever wrong you commit, if someone chooses to blank you rather than have a healthy chat about it, they at least are just as much in the wrong as you. You can't take the moral high ground while refusing to communicate and allowing positivity and healing to enter the rift. That's emotionally manipulative behaviour. And if Scotty is still ghosting him then this isn't just 'RUclips shit' getting in the way. I guess we might find out eventually.

This is why bands that last take breaks for 6 months to a year occasionally - being together constantly is super stressful... You guys were basically like a band that went on tour for the last 5 years... Don't read more into it than it is - take your breaks - hug it out... give yourselves some space and time and things will get better. Please keep an eye on Scotty's mental and spiritual health, he looks very very depressed, I think things are really starting to sink in for him on the reality of whats going on with his life as a whole, RUclips and everything was an escape for him and helped him escape his depression, now you can tell he has been broken inside, his face is so puffy from crying man, I am worried about him, please please keep an eye on him, dont let him give up on life, you guys have to really man up and realize this life is short man, you dont get a reset and it isnt a game, you guys have had so much fun, real times are now here, challenges are ahead, its time to wake up and realize what you have before it is gone!

I had made my own comment, but I think what Scotty is truly going through is loneliness. I think this is residual pain from his accident. I do not want to speak for him, but ever since his accident he just hasn't been able to be as directly involved in riding as he used to be. I think subconsciously this is where the problem stems. Then he had to change up his life and move to Florida, He saw Big Boy spending more time with Trey. My guess is that he felt as if he were losing his friend, and then when Big Boy started his own channel, he probably felt as if he wasn't able to be apart of it. From the way Scotty was talking, he seemed really hurt that Big Boys intro was only Trey and their other Florida friends.

Well said, the same situation happened to a me and my best friend, trying to run a business with loved ones/friends changes everything, it took a few years and some career changes but were good again! I have no doubt their paths will cross again.
I actually feel sorry for Big Boy in all of this, as well as Scott. I’m heartbroken that they’ve gone separate ways, can’t imagine how rough this is for both of them. Never liked trey in Scott's videos, really dont like him in big boys videos. There is a negativity and immaturity about him that doesn't fit with either channel in my eyes.

I think anyone who's watched for a while knows how much you love and respect Scotty. It's not realistic to expect that your life would revolve around his forever. People drift apart and we should try to show some understanding to both sides.

Your mental health after a life changing injury takes a fucking dive. I love Scott and I hope he's talking to a professional. As a person that's dealt with it, the depression is real. Combining that with a business relationship would be more than challenging.
And people in these scenarios often expect those around them to have endless patience for them and their condition(s). It gets increasingly tiring for everyone and sooner or later somebody is going to snap, unjust or not.

Honestly, I'm more pissed at how some viewers handled this. The amount of people that started spreading INSANE rumors about the situation (I saw something in Scotty's video about someone who started a rumor that Scotty killed a dog. THE HELL?), instead of just waiting for the guys to publish/say something, is sickening. And the way some viewers handled this by sending death threats and blaming X or Y for all this is just as bad, if not worse. Let the guys handle this, since it's THEIR problem and they're all adults. I agree with you that some comments went to far in spreading rumors and directly messaging people and insulting or threatening them (if that happend) is obviously wrong. But I have to say that people *have* waited a long time and nothing happend. And that most of the comments were not unfriendly or mean but rather disappointed. Most people did not ask for a detailed explanation or were demanding anything, they just felt fooled and ignored. The whole situation was at least in some part of Scottys and Big Boys own making. If you tell people for years that they matter to you and thank them for your support and then you completely ignore them them when they actually care about you it just feels wrong. However I think now we have more than enough of an explanation and however keeps on bugging people about this maybe should think about stopping it
See what I don't get is how these channels "conflict" at all. There's definitely an audience for both channels. There would be an audience for every single member of the Cranmer crew. Hell, I'd watch Dom Simoncini's channel, and everyone else would, too. I don't get why they can't build a network of related channels, like the Faze Clan.
Braille skateboarding have a huge channel. A lot of there skaters have there own channels. They don’t have as big of a audience but still the skaters are growing alongside Braille.

OBB played a massive role in the post accident SC channel. Scotty is a competitive dude and he probably felt that besides his family, his other love RUclips, was falling apart with the degrading working relationship with OBB. It didn’t help that people were leaving comments and I’m sure the views dropped as well around that time. Plus his dogs weren’t doing so well and if he just bought that Florida house and then had to turn around and sell it... that’s a lot for a dude who’s already going through some massive life changing stuff. Forget the channel and everything else, spending the most amount of money that the average person spends on real estate is no joke. Not all relationships transform in a positive manner. I just hope Scotty continues to evolve his channel without OBB and with the crippling winter in NJ. OBB put together a pile of valid points and I hope that Scotty can realize that there’s more to OBB than business.
Took me 2 years to be able to watch this video, these guys have been why I got into bmx, they have been all throughout my teens. I'm 23 now and it sucks to watch them split appart but that's life. life goes on, they are not beefing, people just move over things
The ghosting was a bit dark though, after working with somebody for years and them helping you through the hardest times and being there every step of the way? I think talking would of made things so much easier, Scotty is a really serious person and BB is a bit more wild and care free, I can see how that was going to wear thin
It's clear that Scotty is going through something deep. It's easy when you're in that situation to lose your way and start getting things twisted in your head. Maybe this whole thing will finally make Scotty realize that he needs to talk about stuff more and quit trying to hide stuff. Life isn't always roses and sunshine and if you try to tell people that, it makes you a liar.
When you’re depressed it’s near impossible to want to reach out for help. It’s much more comforting just suffering alone at least it was and is for me.
Well, Scotty also created BigBoy... So I imagine this isn't just about Scotty's physical difficulties. Whether it is an accurate assessment or not, he probably felt completely betrayed by Big Boy and even by the Joneses. By giving ramp design advise and purchasing all of that lumber, Scotty was probably contributing to the project as best as he could. And I imagine Scott was already stressed about BigBoy buying his house in FL to begin with. I'm sure that move hurt and scared him and made him feel even more powerless. Imagine going from BMX god to having to learn how to use your body all over again... And then on top of that, your right hand man through everything ends up outgrowing you and moving to another state. It's super heavy shit. And I'm sure it wasn't easy for Big Boy to spread his wings through all this either.

I clicked this video thinking that you were the asshole, but you’re actually not. You are very appreciative & just trying to carve you own way instead of being in a background. You also built scottys channel so you should be able to build your own. Sometimes people grow apart but you did explain it well.
I think big boy is just trying to look to his future, it is not a selfish move. This moment was inevitable since the accident happened. That is not where Scott's story ends though, this is a new chapter for him and his channel, so do not feel bad about moving on. People try to latch onto things that make them happy forever, but nothing is permanent, circumstances change, people get older, and we adapt.
I hope you keep maturing as you have been since the beginning of Scotty's channel. Your weight loss, progress on BMX, general social skills etc. As a viewer who's been watching from the start, it's incredible how much you've changed over the years, and it's understandable if that change, combined with how much Scotty's changed both from the accident but also just from time, has caused you guys to drift apart. Friendships take minutes to make, moments to break, and years to repair.
I feel bad for you, Scotty, and everyone else involved. You guys all sound so dejected when you guys are talking about what happened and why you went your separate ways. Why didn't you guys just create a business partnership? A new brand. A new LLC company called "Hurr Durr BMX," for example. Could've sold both your merch brands under that name, could've featured both your channels on a similar website, cross-promotion, you two could've created separately, yet still benefited off each other's success. One person would enjoy Scotty's recovery BMX videos, which would lead them to your more action-packed videos and stunts. It would've had a good balance of heart, as well as entertainment. You could've even reached out to create your own BMX parts like frames, pedals, and so on, whose sales could go to charity and whatnot - also a profit to both of you as well. Instead though, it seems like you two had a big falling out over money and lifestyle choices. Which is fine, but there were better approaches to this that could've been done. In my own advice, you should've brought in a third unbiased party, an outsider of sorts, to manage both "Scotty Cranmer" and "Be Weird," who you two could talk to, rather than talking to each other. But those are just my quick thoughts based on my own experiences starting and running businesses. Obviously I don't know all the details; none of us do.

The beef got so out of hand and well I’m not gonna say it took Dave’s life but deft contributed... Colin Winkelman took his life before Dave did. Colin took his life because he couldn’t ride anymore/or at the caliber he used to and it destroyed him inside. Then you got big boy and Trey downing Scotty the dude that put you on the stage and coached and counsel BB. They tell him why you care you ain’t even gonna ride it.. or whatever close to it... just think guys ....

Yes I’m sure Scotty is depressed and starting to realize he’s not going to get much better than he currently is already. It’s going to take time for him to accept that and move on. If you watch both videos it seems like there is a lot of “Them” “They” “He” “BigBoy” “Kelsey” “Trey” in SC’s video... Its everyone else’s fault and what they owe me because of what I (SC) did. I think Scotty Cranmer is in a dark place right now and has a lot of stuff going on. @D W Pretty much what I was thinking. Scotty was the root of the cause and decided to take it all out on OBB. I get Scotty's situation is hard but it's super petty to expect so much from someone so close. A real friend would have supported OBB with his youtube channel. Rather than offer him more money to keep him from making videos. The whole uploading at the same time thing really irritated me. In no way would uploading at the same time or with the same type of content take away from any sort of viewership. There are 24 hours in a day and people have time to watch 2 20 minute videos easily. It makes it worse when you look back at how many views OBBs channel was getting during that time also. He was barely making 5-10k views a video, if that.

Ever since Scott has been injured he has been left out. He was the best one in the group on his bike. After his injury, he was left out of the mix and became a background person. Big boy was probably the last thing Scott had and honestly wanted Big Boy to follow Scott’s footsteps. Buying the house in Florida was probably what started the disconnect. That’s probably when the downfall started but kinda sad. I’ve been watching for years and since before the accident had happened. Watching them split is hella depressing

Not sure I agree. Big Boy was on the channel because, in Scotty's hands, Big Boy was a draw. It was fun to watch that clown fall and act like a total head case all the time. But it was also fun to watch him improve, too. With Scotty's guidance, we saw that. He was able to control Big Boy's chaotic nature and mold it into something. Big Boy is a better rider than he was a few years ago because of it. But Scotty has other options for sure!

Agreed. I watched these channels from video 1 to now. I think sometimes it has to do with having bad depression days this time for scott.
Theres no doubt in my mind that scotty leaned on all his friends during recovery seeing them do what he couldnt and supporting the hell put of them was humbling to scott and I dunno if anyone else realized it. He went from being the best and knowing it to being humble and supportive. I think sometimes not having the friends around and not keeping that same dynamic probably caused him to think more on how much progress he has made and maybe he felt like it wasnt where he wanted it to he, and that people were taking their ability for granted. That's a big subconscious thing for people who used to be able bodied.
2020 was rough for everyone and this probably played into the issues. Love stays love. I have faith they will work it out ♡

I respect him for staying quiet about it until now, if it's the case that they started to not get on but then Scotty completely blanks BB and leaves BB wondering where his next paycheque will come from (which also makes sense if, as BB said, Scotty never shared any business stuff like him such as what % cut he was even getting) then BB is left in a vulnerable situation but still never spoke out against Scotty until now which I respect. You guys were basically like a band that went on tour for the last 5 years... I had made my own comment, but I think what Scotty is truly going through is loneliness. I think this is residual pain from his accident. I do not want to speak for him, but ever since his accident he just hasn't been able to be as directly involved in riding as he used to be. I think subconsciously this is where the problem stems. Then he had to change up his life and move to Florida, He saw Big Boy spending more time with Trey. My guess is that he felt as if he were losing his friend, and then when Big Boy started his own channel, he probably felt as if he wasn't able to be apart of it. From the way Scotty was talking, he seemed really hurt that Big Boys intro was only Trey and their other Florida friends.

The amount of people that started spreading INSANE rumors about the situation (I saw something in Scotty's video about someone who started a rumor that Scotty killed a dog. THE HELL?), instead of just waiting for the guys to publish/say something, is sickening. I agree with you that some comments went to far in spreading rumors and directly messaging people and insulting or threatening them (if that happend) is obviously wrong.
But I have to say that people *have* waited a long time and nothing happend. And that most of the comments were not unfriendly or mean but rather disappointed. Most people did not ask for a detailed explanation or were demanding anything, they just felt fooled and ignored.
The whole situation was at least in some part of Scottys and Big Boys own making. If you tell people for years that they matter to you and thank them for your support and then you completely ignore them them when they actually care about you it just feels wrong.

Well it’s still your backyard and that doesn’t mean people can just say when they come over. It has to be when you are available. Scotty kind of pinned big boy into letting him come over anytime just because he bought him a ramp. Now that being said, I think they should have set aside time for Scotty because he has special needs. This should have never been posted for the public though, this is drama

I think SC is just in a dark place with everything going on, along with everything that comes along with Covid and people constantly nagging about BigBoy not being on his channel. I think it just ended up being a bad place and stuff coming out all at once.

OBB played a massive role in the post accident SC channel. Scotty is a competitive dude and he probably felt that besides his family, his other love RUclips, was falling apart with the degrading working relationship with OBB. It didn’t help that people were leaving comments and I’m sure the views dropped as well around that time. Plus his dogs weren’t doing so well and if he just bought that Florida house and then had to turn around and sell it... that’s a lot for a dude who’s already going through some massive life changing stuff. Forget the channel and everything else, spending the most amount of money that the average person spends on real estate is no joke.
Not all relationships transform in a positive manner. I just hope Scotty continues to evolve his channel without OBB and with the crippling winter in NJ.

Took me 2 years to be able to watch this video, these guys have been why I got into bmx, they have been all throughout my teens. I'm 23 now and it sucks to watch them split appart but that's life. life goes on, they are not beefing, people just move over things

The ghosting was a bit dark though, after working with somebody for years and them helping you through the hardest times and being there every step of the way? I think talking would of made things so much easier, Scotty is a really serious person and BB is a bit more wild and care free, I can see how that was going to wear thin
It's clear that Scotty is going through something deep. It's easy when you're in that situation to lose your way and start getting things twisted in your head. Maybe this whole thing will finally make Scotty realize that he needs to talk about stuff more and quit trying to hide stuff. Life isn't always roses and sunshine and if you try to tell people that, it makes you a liar.
When you’re depressed it’s near impossible to want to reach out for help. It’s much more comforting just suffering alone at least it was and is for me.
Well, Scotty also created BigBoy... So I imagine this isn't just about Scotty's physical difficulties. Whether it is an accurate assessment or not, he probably felt completely betrayed by Big Boy and even by the Joneses. By giving ramp design advise and purchasing all of that lumber, Scotty was probably contributing to the project as best as he could. And I imagine Scott was already stressed about BigBoy buying his house in FL to begin with. I'm sure that move hurt and scared him and made him feel even more powerless. Imagine going from BMX god to having to learn how to use your body all over again... And then on top of that, your right hand man through everything ends up outgrowing you and moving to another state. It's super heavy shit. And I'm sure it wasn't easy for Big Boy to spread his wings through all this either.

Sometimes people grow apart but you did explain it well.
I think big boy is just trying to look to his future, it is not a selfish move. This moment was inevitable since the accident happened. That is not where Scott's story ends though, this is a new chapter for him and his channel, so do not feel bad about moving on. People try to latch onto things that make them happy forever, but nothing is permanent, circumstances change, people get older, and we adapt.

Your weight loss, progress on BMX, general social skills etc. As a viewer who's been watching from the start, it's incredible how much you've changed over the years, and it's understandable if that change, combined with how much Scotty's changed both from the accident but also just from time, has caused you guys to drift apart.

Why didn't you guys just create a business partnership? A new brand. A new LLC company called "Hurr Durr BMX," for example. Could've sold both your merch brands under that name, could've featured both your channels on a similar website, cross-promotion, you two could've created separately, yet still benefited off each other's success. One person would enjoy Scotty's recovery BMX videos, which would lead them to your more action-packed videos and stunts. It would've had a good balance of heart, as well as entertainment. You could've even reached out to create your own BMX parts like frames, pedals, and so on, whose sales could go to charity and whatnot - also a profit to both of you as well. Instead though, it seems like you two had a big falling out over money and lifestyle choices. Which is fine, but there were better approaches to this that could've been done. In my own advice, you should've brought in a third unbiased party, an outsider of sorts, to manage both "Scotty Cranmer" and "Be Weird," who you two could talk to, rather than talking to each other. But those are just my quick thoughts based on my own experiences starting and running businesses. Obviously I don't know all the details; none of us do.

The beef got so out of hand and well I’m not gonna say it took Dave’s life but deft contributed... Colin Winkelman took his life before Dave did. Colin took his life because he couldn’t ride anymore/or at the caliber he used to and it destroyed him inside.

Yes I’m sure Scotty is depressed and starting to realize he’s not going to get much better than he currently is already. It’s going to take time for him to accept that and move on. Its everyone else’s fault and what they owe me because of what I (SC) did. I think Scotty Cranmer is in a dark place right now and has a lot of stuff going on.
In BB video there is a lot of introspect “I should not have done this” “I sincerely apologize.” More of a narrative of I made choices maybe they weren’t the best but I did what I felt was right for me at that moment.

@D W Pretty much what I was thinking. Scotty was the root of the cause and decided to take it all out on OBB.
I get Scotty's situation is hard but it's super petty to expect so much from someone so close. A real friend would have supported OBB with his youtube channel. Rather than offer him more money to keep him from making videos. The whole uploading at the same time thing really irritated me. In no way would uploading at the same time or with the same type of content take away from any sort of viewership. There are 24 hours in a day and people have time to watch 2 20 minute videos easily. It makes it worse when you look back at how many views OBBs channel was getting during that time also. He was barely making 5-10k views a video, if that.
