I'll be honest. I can't stand it in 6/4. It was pretty clear that that wasn't on purpose in the NES and was a limitation of the CPU timing. It does not sound good. It's simply out of tune. When Nintendo redid the song in Super Mario Bros. 3, they were able to fix this issue.
@@JamesR624 It wasn't a limitation of the NES, it was an intentional choice. Koji Kondo himself said so in an interview: "In the original Underground Theme, some measures were in 4/4, while others were in 3/4. This was done on purpose, to make it arrhythmic and difficult to count, and create that creepy feeling we wanted players to have when they went into an underground section."
@@JamesR624 It isn't out of tune, and the track doesn't even sound like it is accidental or anything. Just because it is different, it doesn't mean it was a mistake.
I absolutely love the way the overworld theme in this sounds. I remember Christmas of 2010 we got All Stars on Wii and it just reminds me of playing in the snow and going back inside to play the game. This is exactly how I remember it sounding
Something is comforting about hearing this soundtrack in a time period accurate synthesizer that no other remix or remaster has really ever done. It feels surprisingly normal to listen to.
@@fattymcboomboom9254 It is based largely on All-Stars, but I did ignore the Bowser battle themes partly because they're not in the original game, and partly because I just don't like them that much and I didn't think I could enhance them particularly well.
Love how the Underground theme is still in 6/4.
Usually it would be re done in 4/4 but i like hearing it in 6/4.

It reminds me more of the song it was based on

I got All Stars with the SNES back in 95. It was great.
For SC-55, this sounds magnificent!
It's amazing what you can do when you're targeting a platform directly!
I love how the castle theme travels from left to right and back
(I'm wearing headphones)
what, you new to stereo sound or smt?
@@ensndkdndne-Eusjsnsns Shut up bro let him be happy
7:56 bro the lost levels main theme rocks!
This is what All Stars tried to sound like, but couldn't. This is amazing! The low strings in the title theme are beautiful.
Slap those in a MSU-1 rom hack and say it sounds as intended.
Tried? It COULD and it DID
The title theme sounds like if it was a mix between super mario all stars and sm64, not gonna lie
If a remastered classic allstars were to be modded this should be used.

The pan on the castle theme is top notch!
the title theme is gold
Very faithful to the All-Stars port. I particularly like the slap bass used for the invulnerability theme.
This sounds really authentic, excellent job!
I love that u remixed the all stars version instead of just re uploading the same tracks
Very beautiful. Thanks for this.
Underwater sounds like a merry go round.
I love the 8D touch to the Castle theme
I have watched this video more times than I’d like to admit
Someone needs to make an MSU-1 hack of All Stars so I can put this music in.
This is beyond amazing. I'm so fucking glad I found your channel.
Something seems off with the underground theme's percussion.
It maintains the time signature(s) of the original underground theme.
Mixes some of the beta version of smb2/usa underground in there
Great composition! Do you have it in flac or wav?
3:26 Epic😎👍 50/10
If I made a game, I would have you as the composer for the soundtrack.
where do you get your synths?
What about the boss and final boss themes?
where is Bowser battle?
It didn't exist
(Only in all stars)
