Hurts is better than Wentz in most aspects but I'll never forget how Wentz stayed in the pocket until the very last second to find an open receiver and would even take the hit if he thought someone would get open. Hurts bails out too quickly. It sucks that QBs usually come with either "one or the other". An Eagles QB with Wentz ability to read his receivers and arm talent with Hurts mental toughness, leadership and run skills would be perfect.

The defense started showing cracks in 2022, and has been aging and bleeding talent since then. Doesnt matter who we put in to coach, we need talent! We havent been able to stop the run in a long time. Washington has known this since 2022 and thats how they beat us then and then gannon beat us with it in 2023. And now everyone knows and we are talentless to stop it. They run the clock down and Jalen has to be perfect just to outscore our defense in time.

For the last 19 games we have played, not all of those opponents had a solid Oline, yet the pass rush in those games have been mediocire at best dating back to 2023. Carter and Davis are the biggest issues here. We need to get some production from them. Our d line has been dog crap for two weeks and it was supposed to be our strength. Any qb can tear up a defense if given the time we have seen so far.

The thing that bothers me the most is how the defensive line is being pushed around, not only by the linemen but by the tight ends.
Thing is Barkley catches that ball 99% of the time. There was too many opportunities and that would've had us going into the saints game 2-0. But if we go out there and make it a shootout we at least have a chance

To be honest Keneth Gainwell should be getting the ball out of the slot before Covey. Covey is not bad, but against immediate contact he’s not going anywhere, where Gainwell would be able to push through some of that.

For the last 19 games we have played, not all of those opponents had a solid Oline, yet the pass rush in those games have been mediocire at best dating back to 2023.
So far in this very early season, it looks non existant.

He had plenty of open receivers through the game to score but he just doesn't see it. It's frustrating when you see his passing ability but see him play like a first year (through the air).

Quit saying Jalen was "great" he wasn't. I was at the game I flew in from Pittsburgh to watch that disaster. He can't throw a timing route, he creates pressure by rolling out of the pocket early (to the right) and then he runs for his life or tries to hit something when the coverage breaks down. He is predictable and terrible at reading what the defense is giving him. No way they are 7th in actual pressure on the QB. Those stats these days are not relevant. No idea how they get those numbers but the Eagles have had almost no pressure for two straight weeks. Just a few times each game.

What are you talking about? That ball hit him right in the hands. He catches that game is over. That doesn't excuse the defense letting them run down the field but if Saquan catches that game is over. Doesn't mean he is a busy but that one was definitely on him.
@chadhall769 there was no reason to throw in that situation. If you hand the ball over and waste the clock the game is over. Hurts wanted to boost his stats woth another reception instead of handing the ball and making saquon the hero again. Regardless of the drop the game was on hurts hands when he threw that interception. Throw it away and you get another down. 15 yards and Eliot win that game.

A score is a score, but I think it just shows you the real weapon the qb uses. Mahomes ran 6 times and Jalen ran 15. Back to my point, I don’t think any qb has been consistently, sustainably, and incredibly successful being a dual threat. The qb position is played in the mind and that’s why a lot of the greats weren’t freak athletes
