I'm so glad there are teacher's like you who teach outside of the classroom, and teach other kids who are also taking Ap Lang. Thank you, Coach Hall for taking the time to make these. They are super helpful and it will help me with my timed write tomorrow. :)
How would you recommend incorporating personal information? Is there a right or wrong way because I feel like it can come off as informal easily and shift the tone of the essay
Typically, students who incorporate personal experience as part of their essay include it as part of the commentary in response to a quote from one of the sources. The key is to make sure it is relevant and meaningful.
For your counter argument, do you have to do a paragraph for it or can the counters be spread throughout your essay based off what you said in your thesis.
@@CoachHallWrites Ah alright! Also, for our thesis, if they do not include the “although part”, we can still make counters and rebuttal/concede to those in our paragraphs right?
Sorry to hear that. I have several other videos, including a cram for the exam playlist that may help. Is there something in particular you are worried about?
@@CoachHallWrites im worried about thesis statements for synthesis and rhetorical essays. I dont know how to make one from the text/speech if you get what I'm saying

Technically either option is fine. I’ve seen both ways done successfully.

Yes, you don’t have to address the counter argument in your thesis but can still bring it up in your essay.
WHAT A BANGER
A WHOLE QUEEN
Thanks!
I wish I saw this months ago. My teacher has barely taught anything, this exam will be tough
