You know, I'm a 30 Something self-diagnosed curmudgeon who still clings to the hard-rock renaissance of the 90's, Tool, Deftones, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, these are the tenants of my daily playlists. Despite my ire for most music following 1999, I found some post millennium love in Story of the Year. When I first saw this video crop up in my feed as a suggestion, I thought, bunch of hipster kids with cliche haircuts, probably doing a bullshit job hacking up one of my favorite songs in the foyer of whomever's house their respective moms allowed them to record in. Watched. Listened. Thoroughly Enjoyed.
Thought I was going to listen to shit, and what I got was an unbelievably faithful cover, by some extremely talented young band. Great work, guys, sincerely, (from a long time musician and hobbyist audio engineer). And whoever mixed this recording also deserves some kudos -- make sure they're behind the DAW when you guys record an album; if you already have, and if he/she was in the booth, than good on you.
tl;dr version: You rocked, I have egg on my face. Good engineering is key.

One year ago today, I listened to this cover and delved into listening to more of your covers and your originals. Before that there were two (Then three for a bit of time before October 2 of last year) covers of you guys I listened to on and off during a period of almost 3 years. After listening to this and then diving into your catalogue, I'm very happy I've done so. Thank you for all of this music that has been put out. The only regret I have is not finding and diving in earlier.
It's never too late to find our work. We're glad you took the time to visit a lot of material we have released over the years. A lot of work went in to each and every video we have ever released.
