- Brian Auger and the Trinity was a British band led by keyboardist Brian Auger. His duet with Julie Driscoll, the Bob Dylan-penned "This Wheel's on Fire", was a #5 hit single on the 1968 UK Singles Chart.
Their joint album, Open, billed as Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger and the Trinity, reached #12 in the UK Albums Chart the same year.
The group and Driscoll opened for Led Zeppelin at the Rose Palace in Pasadena, California on 2 and 3 May 1969.

Exceptional interplay to my ears…… phenomenal combination….. so pleased to meet Brian a few years ago when he performed in my hometown, Tauranga, NZ…. His daughter did a wonderful job on vocals……. Unforgettable!, and exceptionally special to me!

Loved them back then and still sound superb today.. There was so much original talent that flowed out of the ordinary homes of postwar youngsters. It was a real emancipation of the youth of the day all given the best possible opportunities in post war Britain..
Didn`t hear this awesome song for the last 45(or more years). Now I know what I missed. Great reminder of a time when black and white TV was still the latest fashion.
A song doesn't get much more 'haunting' than this: pure genius on Ackles' part and pure genius on Augur and Driscoll's part!
