I love these kind of videos, humbles the frag snobs and the community. This is reality, a lot of popular scents in the frag community aren’t mass appealing and that’s fine…but don’t get upset because the masses don’t like what you wear…too much butt hurt people in the fragrance community as well. At the end of the day wear what you like. Fragrance is just an accessory.
100% agreed...If you're wearing fragrances based solely on how you think other will perceive them, then it's a total toss-up, so just wear what you like because someone is bound to like what you wear, and someone else is bound to dislike it.

Tbh when I smelled ADG Profumo on a paper strip at store it smelled good to be but didn’t wow me at all. It was only when I started wearing it that it has gradually become my favorite scents, no competition. I think for ADG you gotta wear it or spray on skin to know otherwise it’s almost a different scent.
When you smell the dry down on yourself, ive said to 2 of my female friends "Who smells so good" and realised it was the first time i had really smelt the dry down 😝😝😝
That's how business goes... I think all needs is just him talking about fragrances. We don't need high budget like these "people react" type of videos. This was the pinnacle of fragrance videos, elegant clean and realistic videos.
Just my take on these fragrances. Eros is more towards the much younger guys. I feel more comfortable with the EDP then the EDT tho. I'm not gonna hate on them for trashing ADG profumo, each is to his own. But ADG profumo has been for years and years been my signature fragrance. To me, it fits me the best.
I wish you continued doing these videos, honestly they are great and it has helped me in my final decisions at times. If you come back, it would be cool to see some clone fragrances being looked at

So 6 to 1 Eros over Profumo, interesting. These happened to be the first 2 fragrances I ever tried, one on each wrist. Immediately I was leaning towards Eros myself, but after they both settled in, all day long I kept going back to the Acqua Di Gio Profumo "wrist" as the clear winner. Eros seemed sweeter and vanilla smelling, which was still nice. But I'm 43 and ADG seems to have a manlier fragrance and just something special about the way it hangs around imo.
ADG Profumo a well known boxer dropper. Of course it doesn't mean it won't drop some panties, in general if you smell good you will get compliments with almost any fragrance (and ADG Profumo is still objectively above average), but it's just soooo overhyped by men in my opinion.
I agree profumo is one of if not the most overhyped fragrance out there in the market, I've smelled it tons of times and I can never seem to understand why fragheads get all crazy about it, I've had other people test it out too and they never seem too impressed with it and they always seem to prefer profondo over it

I mean even if we get a bigger sample group Eros would probably be more appealing to the masses over Profumo. Eros is sweet and masculine, Profumo is dark and fresh. The incense note in Profumo might turn people away.
Also it just goes to show the difference between spraying on skin and strips. You had people saying eros wasn't very strong, and that it would be great in the office but not for going out

Fortunately it was a small bottle I don’t hate it, I appreciate it, and still wear it sometimes….but only around older ppl or in high professional times. Definitely not something I’ll ever buy again. Teddy, here from your watch videos, long time fan and more of a watch than fragrance guy, but have been getting into fragrances much more lately. I'd be very interested to see more on some of the classical London frangrance companies like Truefitt & Hill, Floris, Taylor of Old Bond Street, etc. I wonder how those stack up to most of these designer fragrances and would be very interested to see blind tests on them, possibly up against each other or up against some of the designer fragrances.
ADG profumo smells different on paper and skin. First time I tested on paper strip when shopping with my girlfriend, she didn't like it, she said its way too strong. But later whenever I wear it, she always asks what am I wearing and she loves it lol

Well, in case you bring it back, here's my feedback: I like how you organized the video into chapters based on the fragrance. Also like how you've included a tally at the end so that we can see which one wins. The only other addition I'd make to your group videos would be to include the name of the fragrance being currently reviewed on the bottom of the screen -- so that the viewers do not have to keep hovering the cursor over the chapter name on the timeline. Would be great to include reviewers who are not American, as the feedback would be a bit more nuanced and interesting. Great job overall, looking forward to your next videos.
I just revisited Eros about a month ago... I forgot how much I like that scent. A lot of newer releases suck. 2008-2016 was a sweet spot in cologne history
You should do a review of really affordable stuff like Pinaud Clubman, Aqua Velva, Skin Bracer, etc. Some of them hold up pretty well. Also, I think a review of popular European brands would help as well. Anything from Truefitt & Hill, Taylor Of Old Bond Street, Real Musgo, Poraso or Geo Trumper blows away the department store designer label stuff.
I wish you could make a reaction video about Alexandria 2 from Xerjoff. It's my all-time favorite, signature scent from day one. Despite not needing anyone's compliments, I find it odd that people have told me that it's somehow strong (even after 3-4 hours on two sprays only), but nobody seemed to like it as I do. I get that people tend to like the easier perfumes as Xerjoff's offerings are very dense and strong. I have tested so many fragrances all these years but not one gets close to Alexandra 2.

At first I liked the concept of the videos but after watching several videos I ended up more confused about which fragrance to buy. The videos gave me to understand that the scents of the fragrances vary too much from person to person. Lived experiences and many other factors affect the opinion of the person in relation to the smell of a fragrance. By which it means that the fact that you like a smell of a fragrance is not necessarily going to mean that that person you are interested in will like it.
just gotta wear it for yourself in a way, say fuck it we ball, cause your the only constant, whereas everyone has their own thing they like, if you get with someone n they hate the shit out of it, not worth wearing n you gotta find something else, but if some random person isn’t crazy on it, no worries
Video idea: spray a fragrance onto a napkin inside a sandwich ziploc bag, pinch the ends, and open/close the bag quickly. This allows you to smell the scent’s “sillage” as if someone were to walk past you. It’s less harsh than smelling on a perfume tester.
Even that, i usually have nore cumpliments when i use aqua di gio vs eros, in some years only once somebody tell me sonething nice with eros, but with aqua di gio ecerytine i had peoole reacting in a good way .

Whiskey Nobile, Oajan, Spicebomb Extreme, Alexandria II, Habdan, Luna Rossa Black, Perlador and Insurrection II Wild! LOL its strange how none fragheads have almost an opposite take on these two fragrances than frag heads themselves. Profumo is loved by the community over Eros but we are frag heads. gen pop apparently works backwards. ADG is king, just ask the statistics god.
To me, Eros is for women, it's so strong and perfumy in an obnoxious way. It smells like makeup, powdery, floral and very sweet, I'm shocked anyone would pick it over ADG. I waited for it to dry down all the way, it lasts very long but smells like makeup
If you take this format and place it with 40 y/o men and women I feel it would be an exact opposite opinion. ADG is more mature and liked by mature audiences. I’m in that age range as well, and I like Eros but it’s looked at as a youthful party fragrance. So the outcome fits what our age group has been saying, that Eros is great, but youthful.
Hi there, I have only recently gotten into looking at colognes/ men perfumes and have recently heard that some products contain pheromones in them. I was curious as to which products have them in them and which ones don't. Is there a video on your channel that provides this information for some of the more popular perfumes?

This video just go to shows that not everyone appreciates good smelling fragrances. There’s nothing awful about either of these fragrances. It’s a Pleasant scent at least. Chris is definitely still used to wearing Axe body spray from how he’s describing the scent.
My 16 yr old son has a girlfriend and wanted to buy a cologne, he chose Sauvqge by Dior and I bought him the Eau de cologne of Eros (I much prefer the perfum but it smells too sophisticated for a teen). Even though he thought he liked Sauvage he is wearing the Eros a lot more as his girlfriend and other girls love it.

which Eros is it? theres 3 versions.
At first I liked the concept of the videos but after watching several videos I ended up more confused about which fragrance to buy. The videos gave me to understand that the scents of the fragrances vary too much from person to person. Lived experiences and many other factors affect the opinion of the person in relation to the smell of a fragrance. By which it means that the fact that you like a smell of a fragrance is not necessarily going to mean that that person you are interested in will like it.
just gotta wear it for yourself in a way, say fuck it we ball, cause your the only constant, whereas everyone has their own thing they like, if you get with someone n they hate the shit out of it, not worth wearing n you gotta find something else, but if some random person isn’t crazy on it, no worries
Video idea: spray a fragrance onto a napkin inside a sandwich ziploc bag, pinch the ends, and open/close the bag quickly.
This allows you to smell the scent’s “sillage” as if someone were to walk past you. It’s less harsh than smelling on a perfume tester.
Even that, i usually have nore cumpliments when i use aqua di gio vs eros, in some years only once somebody tell me sonething nice with eros, but with aqua di gio ecerytine i had peoole reacting in a good way .

Very interesting and good channel. Am thrilled. Maybe there is time for the following fragrances (niche and designer). Whiskey Nobile, Oajan, Spicebomb Extreme, Alexandria II, Habdan, Luna Rossa Black, Perlador and Insurrection II Wild! I would be particularly interested in these in this format (several testers and their opinions)!
LOL its strange how none fragheads have almost an opposite take on these two fragrances than frag heads themselves. Profumo is loved by the community over Eros but we are frag heads. gen pop apparently works backwards. ADG is king, just ask the statistics god.

To me, Eros is for women, it's so strong and perfumy in an obnoxious way. It smells like makeup, powdery, floral and very sweet, I'm shocked anyone would pick it over ADG. I waited for it to dry down all the way, it lasts very long but smells like makeup
Yeah. My Eros EDT takes awhile to dry down from the blast of vanilla after the short mint and apple opening.

If you take this format and place it with 40 y/o men and women I feel it would be an exact opposite opinion. ADG is more mature and liked by mature audiences. I’m in that age range as well, and I like Eros but it’s looked at as a youthful party fragrance.
So the outcome fits what our age group has been saying, that Eros is great, but youthful.

I was curious as to which products have them in them and which ones don't. Is there a video on your channel that provides this information for some of the more popular perfumes?
ADG its good but its for mans over 50s imo. And depends also, for 50s + but with older style live.

This video just go to shows that not everyone appreciates good smelling fragrances. There’s nothing awful about either of these fragrances. It’s a Pleasant scent at least. Chris is definitely still used to wearing Axe body spray from how he’s describing the scent.
My 16 yr old son has a girlfriend and wanted to buy a cologne, he chose Sauvqge by Dior and I bought him the Eau de cologne of Eros (I much prefer the perfum but it smells too sophisticated for a teen). Even though he thought he liked Sauvage he is wearing the Eros a lot more as his girlfriend and other girls love it.
try CDG 2 - its a very unique polarising scent thats supposed to be futuristic (although by 1999 standards)
