Many thanks from France for all your wonderfull music Mr Mellencamp!
I went to his concert for my birthday. It was years ago and I still reminisce about it
He is so real! No bullshit fireworks, light shows dancing girls-just pure roots rock! And a voice that has been frayed and roughed up with life's hardships but still kicks ass. He is one cool cat! Great band as well! Thanks for posting mate👍👍
Agreed100
John is the best male vocalist of the century.
STOP with your nonsense, I love John but he's not even in the top 100 greatest vocalist, and more importantly, HE'D tell you that. You want names, send me a reply and I'll educate you. Ridiculous comment by you.
Hear him latley..sounds like he smokes threee packs a butts a day. threatens his fans, calls them C@ck3uckers then walks off. He thinks he is there to preach his wke politics.
Sucking on a chilly dog, is 1 of the best lines ever put into a song. Jack & Diane. 😂
He's sucking allright...sounds terrible, if he lasts half a concert before he gets pissed and walks off.
I been listening to John mellencamp since 1979, he can still write good songs and put on a good show, keep it up Mr.Mellencamp.
I am so happy folks are still enjoying John's live shows. For me his life shows in the mid eighties to early nineties was the best in Rock n Roll. And there were a lot of great musicians on the scene. In my humble opinion his band was hitting its peak led by Larry Crane and Kenny Arnoff. It really was special. Check it out during the 1990 Farm Aid. I recall my 90 year old mother sitting down and listening to the show. She looked over at me after the set and said " Now I can see why you like him so much" First time she had ever seen him live. God Bless you Mom , you were so cool. lol
Hell of a artist, dam good musician and singer. Icon for sure. Wish I was at this one!
I was at this concert March 22 nd. Ball state University, Muncie In .wow ! 🤠👌🤗🥳🥳🥳🤗🥳🥳🥳🥳
It's okay. We all get old. Even you. Haha. Dude gave us some of the best music.
I love his style of music and storytelling that like so many great American songwriters have done and have put the USA on the world map. His authenticity is great right down to his favourite old leather belt.
Thanks for your comment and constant supports has brought me this far. Keep Supporting ❤️
@@johnmellencamp8951 not mellencamp.
Saw him at Farm-Aid in 1987 at Lincoln football feild in Lincoln Nebraska
John just tells, he is the GREATEST story teller!!!!!!!! Just have to love him!!!!!!!
Thanks for your comment and constant supports has brought me this far. Keep Supporting ❤️
Will see Johnny Couger Mellencamp LIVE tomorrow night 🌙 in Kansas City, Missouri❣👍🏻😘
Mellencamp is one of those artists that you have to see in real life. That's all I can say.
I love how he changed (when I saw him) some of the songs so they were different from the album and, in some cases, even better.
Yeah, Me too.
Nothing beats the real thing - that is if its real.If it's not- ITS DEAD.There is no in between.
I know this comment is old but i was at this concert in this video
And I have many times
I am in love with that drum set
We saw him twice--- both EXCELLENT !!!
I saw him Wednesday night and although his voice has become a little weak and gravely, he still put on a great show. The crowd was very into it. I think Paper in Fire was my favorite of the night.
Is he John Cougar?
Are you perfect in old age??
John I miss my small town in central Illinois. There's no place like home.
Thanks for your sincere compliment and love, I’m not complete without you as my Fan 🌹🎻 I have you to be most thankful for 🎻🎻🌹
Hey, I was at that show. Great venue and Mellencamp is one of America's finest!
I also remember the two Guitarists on each side of John, rip!
Can’t wait to see him next year in Fresno. Got my tickets
Awesome vibe, for 40 years 😋
John, from Greenwood Indiana and am proud to be one of your biggest fans. Started playing guitar and harmonica to uh our music yrs ago and still absolute love listening to these concerts if yours. Thank you for the great times!!!
Hey, I live in Southport...am a singer for about 25 years, we should get a Mellencamp cover band together, 😉
He assembled some great session musicians . And than add his singing and showmanship . Win, win!
Oddly enough I've been to a ton of metal, thrash, death metal etc. concerts, but the only concert I have ever gotten into a fight at was a Mellencamp concert.
Wasn't with one his son's was it? Lol, I kid, I kid.
Hahahahaha
I like it.
May God Bless You John Mellencamp.
John Mellencamp is at his best Live.
My Main Man! Oh My! The concerts, the fun, oh goodness!!!! Dancing, 2nd row, 8th row, never a dull moment! My Brother Gary (Rest in Peace). he took me to my first concert in 1987....we went to his concerts every time he toured until Gary passed last November..............I just have to listen to him and think of fun-and OH YES, MELLENCAMP is fun, MUSIC AND WORDS are the BEST!
Mellencamp is a great concert to see in person - and this video is one of the best concerts I've seen - and I've MC'd a lot of big name acts - he's an artist who stood up for himself in the beginning, and his music has given him added credibility & integrity by transcending into commentary while keeping it fun, alive , and still Rock n' Roll!
Saw him in Richmond, Ky. just a few days ago....really glad I went. As someone said below, he's one of those artist that you HAVE to go see live! Bucket list checked!
IMPRESIONANTE JOHN MELLENCAMP, MUY BUEN CONCIERTO , BUENA BANDA, BUEN SONIDO, BUEN ROCK.
I love this man and his music!
I've been listening to him since his first song hit the radio stations.
I love his music. He is so very talented.
He’s a great artist🔥🔥🔥🔥
Badass
I've seen him only once back in 1988 in Montréal. One of the most entertaining show I ever saw. Did not like his big mouth at first but fell in love with the man and his music around 1984. I have to catch on about what he did since the year 2000
His big mouth has been my favorite thing about him haha
Fantastic voice!
Great show. He can still do it.
Love,,,Love,,,,Love it !!! He don't get older--- he gets better !!!
Awesome, i love older & newer songs. I use to fance alot in my grandparents BARN, in Marietta, Georgia!!
I have seen John in 92,94,97 and 2000 and although i moved on to managing a Christian Extreme Metal band; I still enjoy checking in once and while with John! Brings back many memories of listening and watching him perform! I dont think he has lost anything but, maybe some higher notes he used to hit! I love his deeper vocals and the band still sounds amazing!! hang in there,John, still a fan since 1979!!
+Sherri Ross Let me throw this weird idea out there. I think his high register is good and it's the lower register that's gone! When he sings "better stand clear" that's a very high note. It's the low stuff like Lawless Times that comes out mangled. If you get a chance to see this current tour, do it. Phenomenal show.
No me canso de verlo es lo Máximo ❤️❤️😍😘
Hola Maria the music at the window
John ALWAYS gives his ALL
Best hair in Rock & Roll. Evah. Only gets better with time!
😀 What an awesome performance. I love music!
All of my heroes are old.
Voices change with age...the message remains the same... Still sounds good to me...would like to of heard Minutes to Memories, the song that every kid, in every high school around the world, be made to learn and understand...every word of it.
merveilleux john mellencamp
A great rock and roll band!! Great arrangements. I loved hearing and performing these songs. If you are playing out with a tough crowd, just play a Mellencamp song. Everybody loves these songs. Thank you sir.
wish I could have seen this show, had tickets to 4 shows in Australia and they were cancelled, twice...so I'm left to watch his shows on you tube, thanks for uploading this.
Takes me back to the day lol😊👍👍 dubs floating like flowers lol I guess you’d have to be there in the 80’s!!
Pink house is greatsong . I have liked this song since I was18years old. 🇯🇵
At 64 this dude, Check it out. Fantastic!
Great concert!
What a great show!
He’s John Fucking Mellencamp…deal with it…🤙🏻🔥
Nice job great arrangements still sounds fresh!
Hare Krishna Hare krishna Krishna krishna hare hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare Hare Hare!!!!!❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊2024💎🤔🤨😑😶🙄😏🤩🤗🙂☺😚😙😗😏🙄😶😑🤨🤨🤔💎
Mr president mellencamp that red violin was the best looking violin I ever seen and for the first time I would like to buy one.
He was an icon! Guess you’d have to be at one of his concerts to appreciate his music and voice!!
He can feel the drums. I learned about low frequency, infrasound, noise exposure and how it gave me post concussive disorder. Too bad people don't understand how devastating sound radiation below 20hz really is. Got to say since I appreciate music artists so much :)
Thanks for your music. From Palamos (Spain). You are the best!!!!!!
So rare in France....i saw him twice...in 1977/78..in first part of Blue Oyster Cult in le Havre /Normandie...and in Paris in 1988 for Lonesome Jubilee and it was just fantastic.... everyone i know who was at this concert keep talking about it...!!! JOHN COME IN PARIS PLEASE....NEED YOU 'CAUSE WE LOVE YOU.....!!!! WE NEED YOUR ROCK and ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John is the Best.....
You still got it John !!
music has been part of my life, my daily living I breathe music 🌹🎻🌹🎻, thanks for your love and support, I have you mostly to be thankful for 🌹🎻❤️🌹🎻
I am so glad I saw this tour last year -- the setlist was twice as long! He was amazing, BTW.
I was wondering about the short set list for this show. Not sure what the tickets cost but I would have been disappointed to pay big money for tickets for a 50 minute show.
Larry LoVetere this show was free. It was for the college football national championship
Sure is a lawless time. 2023. You knew it and I can only imagine what you would write today.
with breast-cancer you are my most favorite person on my list for a lunch. Costa Rica . Puravida marguerite
Someone please get Mr Mellencamp back to Australia before time passes !
Crazy wonderful!!!
Great!!!
Seymour, Indiana.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Men are usually upheld for aging well. John Mellencamp is the exception. He said in an interview that his lifelong habit of smoking enhances his singing voice. Not anymore.
+questianna Lol I agree. His voice is not that... great. But I still love him and his music so I will continue to see him live while he's still around. He sounds WAY better in person I must say. And it really depends on the song too. I think he said that the smoking enhanced his voice as a joke... because everybody knows how horrible smoking is. Bob Seger is another example of a classic rocker with a bad habit of smoking. I've seen him live, too. He ain't soundin' too bright either. He's a little better sounding than Mellencamp though, and I think that's because Seger has like a 30 piece band to back him up.
I mean I love both artists but with the recent deaths of Glenn Frey and David Bowie, I'm really getting desperate to keep all these rockers while we have 'em.
+Mr.Sickboy Mellencamp never had the same strength live since the heart attack, which I know was long ago. Between that and the normal decline in vocal range you're going to get as you age, plus the smoking, you get what you have now with Mellencamp. Sad, but you really have to take care of your vocal cords if you want to hold up into your 50s and 60s.
Yeah, I that's true. I know he has cut down his smoking a LOT since that heart attack though. He said on good days he smokes 2 cigs, and on bad days he smokes about a pack. (Better than the past, I think he used to smoke like 2 packs, I don't know how he's not dead lol) But he does eat so much better now and he exercises a lot more. That's probably why he's still alive. He's just addicted... he said he's tried quitting a million times. He also seems quite educated in cigarettes and what they do to your body in some interviews I've seen. I don't know, I guess it's just... bad luck that he's addicted. I mean everybody in the world has tried to get him to stop. I know he wants to stop too. This is exactly why I will never smoke.
My belief is vocalists should retire before their voice declines...at least continue to create and produce music, but stop singing. Sheena Easton is another example.
I don't particularly care, it's their voice, they can do what they want with it. I don't think Mellencamp's voice is all that bad. It just is different. You honestly can barely even tell his voice is different when you're actually there at one of his concerts.
ThanKs 😊 John and Band
Bravo, bravo, encore!!! Fantastic concert!!!❤😅😊
John has so many hits over the years that he could easily do a 3+ hour concert non-stop if he had the energy.
That's why his Greatest Hits is a double album! There aren't many like him. I put him on the same level as Tom Petty and Don Henley. Really good company.
oh yes he could
Don’t you worry George, if John took it into his head too do a 3 hour show he could. Believe me he has the energy but like any great Musician you leave your audience wanting more. 🎼❤️🇦🇺❤️🇺🇸🕺🏻💃🎸☘️
Thanks so much for posting this! Loved it.
Your's are beautiful as you look, Thank's for your sincere compliment, I would always give appreciation to my dedicated fan like you
🎻🌹🎻🌹🎻🌹

La Mejor banda lo Máximo Únicos ❤️😘👋👋👋👋👋
go john go!
If I could create my own Mellencamp playlist for a private show... "Warmer Place to Sleep", "Play Guitar", "Grandview", "What if I Came Knockin'", "Get a Leg Up", "Whenever We Wanted", "The Big Jack", "Between a Laugh and a Tear", and "Minutes to Memories" along with what he played here - makes the list. How about you???
Hotdogs and Hamburgers is another good one...so many though, basically grew up with Mellencamp playing on something almost all the time.
Gosto muito das músicas dele.
cigarettes preserved his voice i swear!! he still sounds great to this day!!
Saw him back up the Kinks @ Fox theatre in Atlanta GA....Rockgasm..late 70s
That's what I thought too when I seen a cover image of ain't even done. Filter free ones. Ouch lol
Seriously, did you hear the same voice I just heard? I mean if you mean, sounds out of tune, when you say sounds the same, then I agree 😉
@@PantyhoseExperience I was being slightly sarcastic saying that cigarettes definitely harm your body your lifespan and most definitely your voice
I love you
The crowd let John down badly on Jack and Diane, lol 😂!
Izzy Stradlin playing with him... at last! everybody's sayin where's Izzy...
Saw JCM in 2005 with John Fogerty opening (honestly-it should've been the other way around) The voice has definitely deteriorated
check it out 13:00
Wow what memories (+_+)
Song good. Smoking bad.
can't say what it is, but the old feelings won't pop up when hearing this .. seems like a lack of intensity, every song sounds the same, there's few dynamic.. Hope it was better "live" Nevertheless John is one of my absolute favorites and his songs had an huge impact in the way i'm looking at things in life and the way i listen to songs and the stories they tell - great great artist
I get what your saying Ray. But let's not forget, we're all older and vitality escapes. I think when we see performers the way they are, instead of the way our memory recalls them, it reminds us of our own mortality. Just a theory. BTW way I had a good look at David Gilmore the other day. Yikes.
As American as it gets !!
I was there
Same
Then you saw a Great Show! Wish I could have been!
baby please do not go..
Saw him live in Sydney a few years back and just LOVED his show. I wasn't really a fan then either
Don't want to sound critical but here's what I'm feeling - watching here specifically for his set list and performance choices.
Conclusion -was it me? seemed band carried the performance with some moments but he just cruised on auto pilot (?smashed) . If you're only singing, dude ditch the gum.
LOTS OF HITS AND STILL A LEGEND can't be denied ... but would you pay $240 each ticket for 2 or more people plus dinner and parking to see that live? Only a die hard fan would, just sayin
That gum is probably replacing cigarettes.
@@JackD1022 yeah, for him it's cigarettes or a piece of gum if he can't smoke.
Gum also helps moisten the mouth- so he wont get a dry mouth while singing. Lots of people do this.
Seen him in moose jaw sask.excelent show
