Performance videos like this are so helpful. At times, it's so much faster to learn a song just by watching someone play it. Thank you Carl for your consistently accurate and great lessons. Would love to see a video of you performing with a band sometime. Or maybe even your own tunes.

Well, first of all i have to say that this cover is awesome and then i need to ask, how do you get that beating metal sound from a single coil strat? I mean, which amp or pedals are u using in this cover? And are the pickups

ToniLivo I think you meant palm muting (the metal beating sound)...it can be achieved irrespective of what guitar you use...you just need to learn the technique.... and I dont think the single coils are hum canceling here :)

Hate to poke and pry, but the intro is played slightly differant than that. Watch the video from Art-of-Guitar, he shows how to correctly play it. Just for everyone out there learning from this. Excellent job though by the way.
you can even watch a close up of james in quite a few videos playing the intro. but yes the art of guitar corrected his mistake and plays it just like James does.
it should be 5 on D string instead of open G but its the same note so..
