      Hi Mark! I'm so glad you enjoyed our Playa Linda vlog! We are itching to get back out there as soon as the weather and our schedules permit. We are very interested in checking Blind Creek Beach out also! I keep hearing great things about it. Hopefully we can make it there soon also. Thank you so much for commenting! :)

      Hi there! What about the parking do you dislike? We did not have an issue at Playa Linda the day we were there, there were plenty of parking spaces and 13 different parking lots along multiple beach accesses. Of course it’s a fee to enter the park. I’ve since bought a National Park Pass so we can get into all parks for free now. It will definitely be worth the money! 🩵

      Well good to know! We have been back several times since filming this video but haven’t had a problem with parking yet. Could be because we’ve only gone on weekdays instead of weekends though perhaps. 🩵🩵🩵

      Parking really depends on the days. Weekends are busy, the most popular lot is 13 and fills up quickly. Arriving early usually means you’ll find a spot. Weekdays are usually less crowds, so better parking.

      Hi Mustang! I would say you’re probably right. Michael & I usually visit on weekdays and have never found parking to be an issue before. However parking does seem to be a common complaint, so surely it’s an issue on weekends or holidays. Thank you for commenting! ❤️❤️❤️

    My wife and have been visiting Playalinda for several years now. Curious about the northern end and what it would be like. We haven’t visited another beach since. We drive over a 1000 miles just to spend a week on this beach.
    The sand dunes you show in the beginning of the video were created during the hurricanes of 2022. They did lots of damage and for awhile closed the northern sections of Playalinda. The park service has partially repaired the dunes, but high tides keep washing the sand back over the road.
    Our last visit, the week of Labor Day, was the last days 11,12,and 13 were open daily. We actually had to drive over the “sand drifts” across the road to get to 13. (Lots of fun in a sports car.)
    Besides being a beautiful beach, the people we’ve met are the friendliest, most welcoming people we’ve ever met. We love Playalinda, especially 13, and will continue to visit for years to come.

      Hi there! Thank you so much for watching our video & leaving a comment! Michael & I briefly visited the northern end of Canaveral National Seashore in another vlog if you are interested in seeing our footage. It was a day when we couldn't truly spend the time to enjoy the beach and we did not have our stuff to make a spot on the beach for the day, but we did park the car and get out and look at the sand & water. It was almost completely deserted that day!! Such a shame, as it would have been the perfect opportunity to enjoy that beach. Playalinda & Canaveral are certainly worth 1,000 mile drive! Where are you guys coming from that you drove so far?
      I believe the park is currently repairing the dunes. Like you mentioned, the times we have been back to visit Playa Linda over the last few months, those final parking spots have been closed. We haven't been since November, so I'm unsure if they've reopened them yet. However, it seems people are just migrating down to the lower numbers, which technically aren't nude beaches, but no one seems to mind or be bothered, thank goodness. I sure hope it's all restored & repaired soon. I agree with you, the people you meet at these beaches are some of the kindest, friendliest, and most respectful people. We have always had good experiences here and only wish we lived closer! We would probably go every single day haha.
      Thank you so much for leaving a comment on this video. We enjoy hearing from anyone who has had similar adventures and are always open to new suggestions of new places we should try. This coming spring we hope to check out more of the natural beaches around Florida and see how they compare.
      I hope you & your family have a wonderful holiday season! :)

      Julie, thanks for the kind words! Wishing you and Michael a wonderful holiday season as well!
      My wife and I travel from Indiana to the Titusville area, just to visit Playalinda. We did this a few years ago to celebrate our anniversary, after visiting this beautiful beach, we’ve returned every year since. We’d love to make the trip more often and hopefully in the future we may be able to.
      I love finding vlogs about the beach, and seeing others opinions about the beach we love so much. Almost every single one gives the same impressions like yours and ours!
      We’ve had similar experiences as you did the day it was almost deserted. We were there on Labor Day one year. The beach was packed all day long. Really great day. Met some amazing fun people. The next day, no one was there. Practically empty all day long. Completely different experience, but still another great day.
      As for the other beaches. There is sadly only 4 “official” nude ocean beaches in Florida. Playalinda and Apollo, which are both a part of Canaveral National seashore. Blind Creek beach in Port St. Lucie County, and the northern end of Haulover beach in Miami, which is most likely the most popular beach.
      Hopefully you’ll check out those beaches in the future. We’d love too, but so far haven’t been able to find the time.
      I follow the groups on Facebook and Reddit devoted to Playalinda and do my best to keep up with the repair work going on there. And agree with you hope they are able to repair the damage soon. The difference in the beach this year compared to previous years was amazing to see. Thankfully though repairs continue to happen.
      You are correct, people do use the “open” far north end of the beach for the clothing optional areas. Last I’ve read, the beach is actually open all the way to area 13, just the parking north of 8 is closed. You can walk to 13, on the beach.
      Once again, wishing you and your family a safe and wonderful holiday season!

      Hi Mustang! Great to hear from you again! Where in Indiana are y'all from? Michael is from Kentucky and has family living in Louisville, so they're right over the border from you!
      It has been a bit too chilly in Florida to enjoy the beach the way it should be enjoyed, so we haven't made the trip to Playalinda lately. (BTW, we call Playalinda "church" because that's the best way we know how to describe how it feels haha). We will definitely be going back as soon as the weather warms up enough to make it worth the drive. I believe there are some communities on the western side of Florida, but we haven't made it over there yet. Hopefully we will have the chance to do that one of these days. Haulover Beach is next on our to do list!
      I hope you & your family had a great Christmas! Stay tuned, I will be so excited to be able to go back to Playalinda, I'm sure there will be a vlog about it! :). Wonderful to hear from you always! :)

      Hello Julie! We live in East Central part of Indiana, right along the border of Ohio.
      I completely understand why you call Playalinda “church”, as we feel the same way. We’ve visited beaches for decades on our vacations, we’ve used them as our time to decompress, “recharge our batteries of life”. The smell of the salt air, the sand between our toes, (and everywhere else LOL), wind on our faces, and beautiful views, has a calming effect on us. The smiles on our faces tells the whole story. Seeing other folks smiling tells us, we belong and are welcomed.
      The communities you mentioned are in Pasco County near Tampa. A few years ago, there was a short Reality TV Show based around a Real Estate Agent who specializes in selling homes in these communities. We saw it before our first trip to Playalinda. My wife mentioned she thought it would be Heaven being able to live in such a place. Of course I agree with her.
      There is a resort located in Kissimmee you and Michael may be interested in visiting. It might be worth a trip over there for you. We had a very pleasant conversation with a very friendly lady during our last visit to Playalinda about Cyprus Cove Resort. She urged us to visit there sometime. There are several videos here about “The Cove” that you two should check out. We hope to visit soon.
      Wishing you and Michael a safe and Happy New Year! 🎉 So good to hear from you again!!

      Hi Mustang! I love your description of the beach, specifically a beach like PlayaLinda, because that is how I think many people would describe the religious experience they receive at a "real" church. For me, the feeling of being completely free and "at one with nature" (not to use a cliché) is exactly the same - enriching, calming, peaceful! There's just nothing like it.
      My chiropractor is from Tampa and has told me much about those communities on the west coast of Florida, but she never mentioned this reality show, haha! Might have to check that one out! :). I agree with you about it being heaven on earth to find a location like that to live. I've never yet encountered anything but respectful, like-minded people on this beach and would hope that a community would be the same experience. Both Michael & I are hoping to check more of these beaches out in 2024, and I'd like to see if we could spend some time in a community also. The Cove would be a great place to start checking out, although we are just so partial to the sand & salt water. We love Florida but couldn't imagine living in the interior part of the state currently.
      Hope you & you family & the pups have a wonderful New Year 2024! Thank you so much for your support & comments, I always look forward to hearing from you! I'll be sure to tag you in a video as soon as we can make it back to Playa Linda. Currently it's pretty chilly in Florida... well, "chilly" for us anyway haha. It's an overcast & breezy 62* today. I had to put a sweater on with my shorts & flip flops hahahahaha :). Michael said Indiana is getting a big snowstorm! Are you guys in the path of the storm? Hope you are all bundled up & warm!! :).

      @michaelandjulie  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there! We have not checked Apollo out yet.. are you referring to the national park beaches up north of Playa Linda, nearer to Daytona? If so, we have been there but only to drive through. It seems to be a common complaint that more parking is needed! So far we have not noticed this to be an issue, but probably because we have always gone on weekday mornings and the beaches weren’t very crowded. 🩵🩵🩵

    • @Mustang-6-The-Force
      @Mustang-6-The-Force 10 месяцев назад +1

      Apollo is a smaller beach compared to Playalinda, the south end is the clothing optional/nude area. Apollo 5 is the south parking area. There is a sign at Apollo “warning” of parking area 5 may have nude sunbathing like the Playalinda 13.
      The area separating the two beaches is called the Backwoods. You need a permit purchased at the Ranger station to legally have access to this area. The Backwoods is approximately 13 miles long and it isn’t illegal to be nude on this stretch of beach. Do need to have the permit to be there though.

    • @michaelandjulie
      @michaelandjulie  10 месяцев назад +1

      Ah yes! I do know what you mean by Apollo. We visited Apollo only briefly in another vlog when we were checking out the Canaveral National Seashore Park as a whole. At that time, we weren’t even aware that there were nude beaches so close to our home! We found Playalinda that day, which is much closer for us to drive from Melbourne. That vlog is posted just prior to this one, if you are interested. It was also a beautiful beach, but we definitely prefer Playalinda, it has such a special place in our hearts 🩷🩷🩷. I agree on parking. Have to go early. I went to playlinda when I was in my 30,'s. Yes, I was going Through a healing period from trauma. Plus, I was dealing with Catholic teaching about fear, guilt, and shame. So when I walked away from all of that and read many books about healing trauma. I learned that going nude . First in house, then outside my house then beach was very freeing. Yes, it was a spiritual experience. I remember, swimming and I felt the hands of God was supporting me. It was powerful. I did go back maybe 3 times but stopped when the powers to be wanted it closed down. I then started to go to cypress cove in Kissimmee. It's a family environment. Very safe. It's like living in a small city. Lastly, yes, people does respect each other. I have not had any issues. I contributed this lifestyle to helping me heal.

      Hi there James! I have read your comment several times trying to think of the best way to respond to you, and I truly appreciate that you left such a heartfelt and personal comment on our video. I do feel like I can relate to the emotions you expressed in this comment. Michael & I have come to refer to the nude beach as "church," because the experience of enjoying nature is absolutely freeing and emotional, much like church used to feel for me back in the days when I attended regularly. We are very interested in checking out as many other such beaches in Florida as we are able to. I have not heard of cypress cove, but Kissimmee is not too far from us and that may be well worth the day trip. I am so glad that you found a lifestyle that helped you heal from past trauma and am very grateful for your testimony. 🩵🩵🩵

      I am uncertain what it is you think is not legal in this scenario. Certain beach accesses at Playalinda, due to being on the Brevard & Volusia County lines, do legally allow nude sun bathing. The land is considered federal land, has no law forbidding nude sun bathing. Filming in these public places is not against the law. This will be my final response to your comments.
