  • A few sunrise videos we took during visits the Playalinda Beach, Florida in September of 2021 and 2022 before Hurricane Ian and Hurricane Nicole damaged the beach, dunes and boardwalks. We returned in 2023, but sadly didn't film any video during that visit.

Hey Rocky! You did it buddy. You put up your first full vid! Awesome man. Boy your footage makes me miss that beach and it's only been 2 days for us. That place is so special and makes me feel so much peace. I can't wait to see more from you guys!

Thanks Michael! Not bad considering I didn’t film the video intending on ever showing to anyone, just her and I. Now need to start filming video for the channel. Safe travels to NC my friend!

Thank You Guinevere!! I’ve never really filmed videos with the intention of showing them off. These were from trips we made a few years ago and Julie and Michael have wanted to see as it’s not far from their home. It’s the beach they’ve been going to now.
The beach was hit really hard by two different hurricanes right after my wife and I were there in 2022. So it looks different now. Sad but at least it’s still a beautiful beach. I have more photos than videos. I’ll be doing more videos from now on though. ☺️. Thank you Guinevere! ❤️💜💙

Hi Mustang! You are welcome! It was very well done I thought and a beautiful place, even if it looks different now somehow (I wonder what changed?). All these hurricanes, they seem to do a lot of damage. 😟 I didn't see your reply until today, I didn't get any notification. YT is a bit of a crazy place sometimes. I am curious too see what you share next. All the best and hope you finally get some sun! 💛🌻💛

Hi Guinevere! I’m hoping we get some sun too! Yesterday when Julie and Michael were at this beach in Florida, we were getting snow in Indiana. The differences in the weather in our country is amazing sometimes.
In these videos, when you’re looking away from the water, towards the dunes, is what they call the area, all of that is gone now. The plants and sand were all washed back towards the river/lagoon that is behind the dunes. There is a road that runs behind the dunes and it was covered in sand a debris.
The boardwalk and ramp in my videos were completely destroyed also. Maybe Julie and Michael will film some the dunes in one of their videos, and we can compare the two looks. I’m afraid I didn’t film much last year so don’t really have anything to compare it to.
I think my next video will be at a dog show soon. You’ll get to see one if little puppies showing off in a dog show ring. She’s a little cutie. ❤️💙. All of my best to you too!! 💕

Julie here! Oh my goodness, what beautiful footage!!! I just love the long takes watching the waves roll in & hearing that sound as the water crashes. The beach life will never get old, but PL is just the most special beach. This video is beautiful, Mustang! Michael is asleep already but I will show him tomorrow when we head to the airport. The footage is great! Did you say you used your phone or a camera? I bet you are ready to come back to Playalinda! You & Stacey are such a beautiful couple 🩷💜🩵
PS I just realized 13 used to have a ramp. That's gone now, I think, right? The whole boardwalk is choked in sand basically. Wow. I wonder if they plan to rebuild it.

Hi Julie!! Yes that boardwalk was destroyed. And when you look at the video again, notice how high the dunes were back then. Those are gone also and why the sand covers the road during high tide. It was so sad to see the change when we went back last year. No idea if they plan on rebuilding it like it was before. Sure was nice having that ramp compared to the crossover they have now when you’re carrying the gear we take. LOL 🤓
There are a few more videos, but not RUclips safe. lol
The videos were taken with two different iPhones. A 11 and a 13 which I still have. I had the GoPro with me during our first visit there back in 2019, but don’t think I used it at all. 🤭 I’ve never taken the Cannon camera there, our visits weren’t really about taking pictures or videos back then. Well I did take some of Stacey of course, I’m a guy so…. 😁
Thank you so much! Not so sure about me, but agree that Stacey is beautiful. I look at myself, and think, “That can’t be right.” 🤣

I would never have recognized this as the same Playalinda we've come to know & love. We only found PL last summer or fall, long after this level of damage had been done, so we never saw it the way it was before. Much nicer, if you ask me. We are surviving with the pitiful boardwalk they put up, but then again we travel pretty light to the beach. You guys are living the boogie life with a lot more creature comforts HAHA!@@Mustang-6-The-Force

Our “gear” has changed over the years, I guess we figured out what we really need and want to take and have adjusted it to fit the vehicle we use to get there too. As we try to stay as long as we can, we try to make sure we’ll have everything we need for the day. Stacey used to have three different chairs. One to sit on, one to take to the water and sit on and a lounge chair. She’s down to just one now thank goodness. That ramp sure made carrying our stuff so much easier but we really don’t usually carry it far away from the crossover and we’re usually one of or the first people there so park right across from the ramp too which helps.

Wish I could show the “set-up” we use… once you’ll see it, you’ll see why we can’t show it here. 🤣🏖️
