  • Thanks a lot South Coast Autos for inviting me to Texas for the first time! It was a wonderful trip filled with awesome cars! For more info on this car or any others in their inventory, check out www.southcoasta...
Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! RUclips's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we'll take an up close and personal, in depth look at the 2005 Volkswagen Touareg.
During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of RUclips!

In my opinion the 4.2v8 was the best version. Lighter in the front end so handled better than the v10. I still have my 2004 and it feels like a new car.

Luckily my country, Argentina, is one of the few to carry the 4.2 v8 T3 and T4... Looking into those but very few people have reviewed it as that engine is not common

I had one of these, broke down like insane, it was a 2004 V8 4.2 model. Came with optional air suspension. Bought it used from a BMW dealer. 2004 with 52k miles. Broke down reliably once a month. Replaced the battery under the driver seat, fan wiring harness melted, steering rack broke completely, air suspension had a mind of its own, and headlights loved eating up the $259 bulbs, which to change you had to disassemble half the front end. But it sure rode nice and quiet.

I do like this SUV, but i've heard that maintaining one can be expensive. My favorite Touareg is the V10 TDI. The V10 TDI is one of the best engines out there, in my opinion. I may have a hatred for CUVs, but the ones made by Mazda, Toyota, Lexus, Volkswagen, Skoda and Audi are the only CUVs that I like.

They seem to be going backwards. I test drove a 2011 Jetta TDI SEL and whiles it looks nice that's about where it stops. Interior quality is horrible, uses drum brakes in the rear and it just doesn't have that German solidity that I felt in older VWs. Of course the fuel economy is there but I want the whole package.

Maybe they added it so you can use it in case the battery in the remote fob dies, but even without the keyless entry you can still unlock it if the fob doesn't work. So I think the smart key access system is useless on this car. But it's still good car nonetheless.

I did pay attention to the gauge, but i believe that the gauge just left of the center is the water temperature, which warms up pretty fast. I might be wrong as i don't know Touaregs rlly well but all the way to the left looks like a oil temp gauge. The oil needs to be warm in order to be able to rev the car that high. Which it only will after about 10miles of real driving, not idling.
