Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! RUclips's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we'll take an up close and personal, in depth look at the 2005 Volkswagen Touareg.
During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. In my opinion the 4.2v8 was the best version. Lighter in the front end so handled better than the v10. I still have my 2004 and it feels like a new car.
Luckily my country, Argentina, is one of the few to carry the 4.2 v8 T3 and T4... Looking into those but very few people have reviewed it as that engine is not common
I had one of these, broke down like insane, it was a 2004 V8 4.2 model. Came with optional air suspension. Bought it used from a BMW dealer. 2004 with 52k miles. Broke down reliably once a month. Replaced the battery under the driver seat, fan wiring harness melted, steering rack broke completely, air suspension had a mind of its own, and headlights loved eating up the $259 bulbs, which to change you had to disassemble half the front end. But it sure rode nice and quiet.
Typical vw
looks too new to be a 2005
+David Robitaille (robitaill3) I know!! It's hard to believe that these were first produced in 2002. That was 14 years ago, and it still they still look like relatively new cars
yeah i coundn't believe this car had a smart key access in 2005!
They also had Bluetooth as an option as well
WOW, this thing's just as loaded as a brand new Buick
+David Robitaille (robitaill3)
I forgot to mention, they also have backup cameras as an option. pretty nice trucks for the time! it aged pretty well
That makes an amazing sound
Hello Mr. Kyle.
Can you please do the review of the new 2015 Touareg V8 4,2 TDI Exlusive?
Thank you. You have the best channel for cars review. Keep going! ;)
Marko Dinjar no
RUclipsr thinksforfun shut the fuck up
LoganAnimations u really Nige how dare u said that and how dare u love Logan after all what u do
Marko Dinjar he can’t. North America doesn’t carry these engine models.
you dont need to hold the key to start it. just twist and let go..
Because of this car, my mechanic knows me on a first name basis. My favourite car of all time, but I don’t at all recommend it
do tell
Why?
@@dongman420it’s a German car😂
It's built like a tank.
I want to buy one and paint it Panzer Grau. Looked into it there are many Panzer Grau colors ... so it should not be that hard :)
lt built like a tank
شيفرولية افيو شيفرولية كابريس
No there not....
@@andraslibal I purchased one. They are an amazing drive
That exhaust note is glorious.. I wish they made more of these..
VW Touareg, all engines, including the TDI, have such great exhaust notes.
No one's gonna talk about sweater weather playing on the radio?
Dash board imitates that of a Bentley cool
@Mona and buggati and lambo
Dont Forget The Plymouth Fury Halloween Special
It’s sound good too we use to have one be but it was 2006 fully loaded
This is such a fun car and one of my favorites out of VW.
It has mis-matched front and rear tires...unacceptable!
This interior looks like the vw pheaton interior
Something gives me the feeling it has the same Interior and dash layout as the VW Phaeton.
Is it me or is the interior right out of the Phaeton?
Pretty much.
One of my dream cars
My neighbor used to have one of these, they had it for at least 5 years and it seemed to be a decent car.
Never seen them anymore though. Must have had low production #'s or they were lemons
Kyle you do know that the engine was not fully warmed up once again. Therefore it's not really good to rev it to 4k rpm..
So it has a smartkey access system, but you still have to use the key to start it?
We have the V8 version of it in Norway. 340 HP.
Lots of features misses here, like that the rear glass opens, storage under passenger seat, armrest moves forwards for better support and so on.
Would have been perfect had it been the 5 liter V10 diesel (if you got that in the states), but obviously it doesn't make much difference in the video - which is great, as always ;)
Still Love this car
I do like this SUV, but i've heard that maintaining one can be expensive. My favorite Touareg is the V10 TDI. The V10 TDI is one of the best engines out there, in my opinion. I may have a hatred for CUVs, but the ones made by Mazda, Toyota, Lexus, Volkswagen, Skoda and Audi are the only CUVs that I like.
dude I drive the v10 touareg and the only shitty thing about it is that my headlights were stolen 3 times ............
Yeah... Cayenne's and Touareg's headlights are super easy to steal.
Ghostara wow , never heard of that before ! how the hell does that happen ?
I used to have toureg v8, and I lived it, even cried when traded for x5
I really really like ur channel and maby when im older like you I would like to do something like what you do!
Horn sound like a trumpet
Nike Maul it’s just missing the low tone horn that probably went out.
sweater weather by the neighborhood and i stand alone by godsmack. good radio stations up there
Bentley unlock and lock sounds
Sounds like my dad’s old 2004 Porsche Cayenne base model engine sound of V6.
Does the compass only come on when the car is on or is there a button you have to press to make it display?
It looks advanced for a 2005
I know how to make a nice vehicle swap a Toyota power train and put coil overs on all 4 wheels.
it also has the option to open the glass on the trunk via the button below the wiper unit :)
This I did not know. Thank you. I've had mine for a year and often wondered how to get that window open
Found it...looking for this as my first car... :)
did it end up being ur first car?
nice video and please will you do video on the BMW E60 2004?
I miss that car my father was have this car
Yes it sounds odd, but what if you're holding something with you hands and you can't get the key out of the pocket to open the doors to leave that in the car?? Germans think of every single detail when they build a car.
Same engine thats in the RS4, so it doesn't surprise me at all ;)
The exhaust sounds surprisingly good!
I really wanna call this the SUV version of the Phaeton. Think about it...
Good videos Kyle. After you do the review of the 1999 Navigator, can you do a review of a 1971 Ford Pinto. Come on people, stop asking. He'll do the car that's next on his list.
Smart key access system, but no push button start? What was Volkswagen thinking!
pronounced 'twareg
Very in depth and well done, this was very useful
Kyle my friend I knew youd make it. youre a doctor well a Pharm-D, have a beautiful lady in your life, a fine home, nice cars etc. good income from the tube, and from the pharmacy etc. I knew youd do it. and when car lots come calling you versus you calling them you know youre doing it right. ( plus you watch others do a car tour the saabkyle04 way. I remember where it all began. well maybe not where it began, but back in the day you were a "weather kid" Congrats my friend on jobs well done :)
Vw is always the best
can you do a review on all the car there.
The styling on this is so much better than that of the current Touareg.
Hey kyle can you find touareg w12 please ... but im not sure if it was avelible in us
... sory for my bad english
ines mwa it wasn't. you could get the petrol v6 and v8 but diesel was very special because of the available diesel v10
That's basically what the Bentley bentayga is
Hey Kyle could you do a tour of an 2013 dodge dart R/T ? Thanks.
That V8 engine sounds really awesome. But really great Video Kyle. And nice job on the balance audio on the video sounds really good.
The doors make a strange noise when they open. Sounds like an odd seal or something, kind of a squeaking noise.
I have the VW Touareg from 2008 ( I believe is the facelift of this one ) and it's amazing.
A car that was built in 2005 and has the same technology in most cars that are built in 2018/19.. fuckin ahead of time.
Thanks for the video
Espagueti con crema 🍝
Suena horrible ese motor
Touareg is Volkswagen's first SUV, introduced in 2002, same year as it's higher priced cousin, the Porsche Cayenne. Shares the same platform as the Audi Q7 and Q8, Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus, and Porsche Cayenne.
The Neighbourhood on the radio?! Wow!
They seem to be going backwards. I test drove a 2011 Jetta TDI SEL and whiles it looks nice that's about where it stops. Interior quality is horrible, uses drum brakes in the rear and it just doesn't have that German solidity that I felt in older VWs. Of course the fuel economy is there but I want the whole package.
Love the channel!! Kyle I know you've been seeing a lot of suggestions for a Veyron, but I have a better idea:
The new SRT Viper. It'd be really great if you could do an in depth tour on one. Thanks!!!
Maybe they added it so you can use it in case the battery in the remote fob dies, but even without the keyless entry you can still unlock it if the fob doesn't work. So I think the smart key access system is useless on this car. But it's still good car nonetheless.
Is it just me, or do I think the old keys on the old vws, (like this) are really cool?
Why don`t you post a vídeo on HOW TO CHANGE A FLAT TYRE on the Touareg! Viewers would "lOVE" to see how easy and simple it is!!! Another topic that would be bliss woud be on how to "quick" start the Touareg: it`s battery is well hidden.
THE BEST CAR OF ALL
So I see u got married. When was that and congrats I always loved ur videos
Kyle ..can u make a hummer h3 review
Test Drive Unlimited....
You forgot to drive it...
It had low fuel
while i understand your comment, i would actually prefer a key. i am not a fan of these new push button starts. just an annoying way to have to start the car when i could just turn a key instead
Are you kidding me? It's aged wonderfully!
The Touareg is the most expensive vehicle in Volkswagens lineup, whereas the Cayenne being the cheapest in Porsches lineup. Therefore it is only logical.
I could get this car so much cheaper than it originally cost. However, running it would be crippling!!!
Wish we still had these. The Atlas/Teremont is OK, but this one is better.
Did you know that you don't have to hold the key to the right to turn it on? You can just twist it once to the right and it pretty much starts itself.
This was definitely NOT your first trip to Texas.... There is way more videos taken in Texas on your channel to be true.
I got this car before I turned 15 and I love it so much!!😍
Lindsay Marie do you advice me to get one as I'm thinking to buy 2008 model v6
Ibrahim Lincolin get a v8
I did pay attention to the gauge, but i believe that the gauge just left of the center is the water temperature, which warms up pretty fast. I might be wrong as i don't know Touaregs rlly well but all the way to the left looks like a oil temp gauge. The oil needs to be warm in order to be able to rev the car that high. Which it only will after about 10miles of real driving, not idling.
I think these are nice, but that steering wheel VW emblem is so off-putting. Only if it was a bit more subtle.
Really nice SUV. If I had a Volkswagen SUV, this is what I'll get. A 2019 model though.
Am I the only one who sees the same headlights as the Bugatti Veyron
some high end cars actually have parts that can be found on cheap vehicles. surprised me to learn that.
But those aren't Bugatti headlights..
Great review! The smart key must be optional be ours is a six cylinder that was a one owners sub.84k and loving it.I've own Volvo's for twenty five years, but the wife wife saw this at half the price, and it looks great and run great. Thanks
a bmw x5? I don't know the letter number codes, I guess I was never into it, BUT id say since Volkswagen has gotten over their electrical gremlins of times past, id rather have the vw. any day. ive a friend who owns an x5 albeit a NICE SUV, idk I like the VW better
Go visit hennessey wild u are in tx maybe they let you make a video of one of their cars
Lol! Smart key access! In an old Touareg! I didn't know that.
I have a 2005 Polo 1.4 with the same key btw :DD
it wasn't long enough for that. I had one before, see the 0-60 video on my channel
No, this engine is very unreliable, better go with the V6. If you just want to have a fast car, the Touareg is the wrong option.
In the US 1 click often just unlocks the driver door, 2 clicks unlocks all including the boot.
Kyle next time you come to Houston let us know! I went on Sunday and didn't know where you were. Awesome videos though.
i drive an vw phaeton v10 all the time the only problem tahs he drinks to much
Why you push the button of the keys 2 times, each Time ago ??!! A disease ?
I dont know..... it doesn't look right without the roof rails in my opinion
That is correct Spring794 the Touareg and Cayenne are the same and so is the Audi Q7.
They last forever, only thing it doesn't have is power lift gate.
i have the same exact car except its an 04 shadow blue and 80,658 miles
