I own 4 BMW's. .. two X5's, 530i and a 328i convertible. . . each one has the same BMW feel on the road, even the SUV, amazingly, the X5 with my first V8 engine is one of my most favorite to drive. I have never had a V8 in a BMW and I would highly recommend it. It is actually pretty easy on gas unless you get on it, but getting on it is a blast so its hard not to really take off in that X5. When i go to look for another sedan 5 series I will be looking for a V8 under the hood as I am now completely sold on the V8 engine in a BMW! My mechanic is not too thrilled and told me not to buy it. . . his only reason is that there is so much engine under the hood it is difficult for him to work on it! It is super sweet and I am not sure of the stats on it but I am guessing it will do zero to 60 as fast as most cars do! Yes, its that fast!
and just a heads up for you 5 series buyers, buy 08 -10 they have the face lift head lamps , up-graded door panels and Idrives and stiffer suspention along with the up-dated shifter, stay away from 04-05 545i they are nothing but problems 06-07 improved all problems, 08-10 more bang for a few thousand more but problem free!!
+crazystang69 s Man, I read and also heard that BMW purposefully down rated actual power output of these cars. I raced a 420hp/420tq dodge challanger and beat the shit out of it by solid 3-4 cars. Not bad for a car that has 80hp/80tq less and is also a four door sedan!

Just bought a used 550i msport for $6k to save miles on my Polestar and fix up for my son when he's old enough to drive. Needs a couple oil leaks fixed but such a great car...

+Club Bmw Amg Sorry, but you are incorrect. The second half of the 2008 550s with the sport package received the M-tech body kit that this one has, which is almost identical to the M5 like you said. I know this because I bought and ordered one identical to this in 2008, with these wheels and bumpers

Bomani Chisulo I hope you get yours soon. After seven months of saving. Finally got my 2008 BMW 550i. WIth Sport Package and Logic 7 Sound. It is probably the best real sport sedan you could buy in that budget range (comparing Mercedes VS Audi VS BMW). Make sure you get one with the Sport Package!

I've got a 09' 525i and it's got the sports package steering wheel, as shown in this video. The car is not with the sports package though, I've always been confused as to how the wheel got there. Were they in some regular stock models as well or did someone else install it later on?

It's a sweet car, though the audio system in these when you don't get the Logic7 or whatever isn't as good, with 3X 12" and 4" speakers and small tweeters throughout the vehicle, and just two "subwoofers" under the front seats, it isn't very good (my mom has a 2006 525xi with the same exact speakers and radio as this car has). Definitely would recommend the Logic7. (:

earlyer cars the 06-07 cars had a feature that shows the temp but it was removed for some reason on the facelifed cars. it was part of the redline it was adaptive so when the car was warming up it would move until fully warm and then disapper

Yeah they seemed to forget the E38 7 Series and E39 5 Series with the M Sport package ever existed. That's the problem with younger people nowadays, it's all about the latest which in this case isn't the greatest. Old BMWs will always be my favorite both in the way they look and drive. These E60s were fast and fun but the E38 and E39 is king.
I'm with Manny...review an Infiniti Q50. I currently own a 2010 G37, but the Q50s are replacing the G's so that'll probably be my next vehicle. Love Infinitis!
e39 m5 for some reason is my favorite m car, i don't know why. but ya here in chicago, there are so many e60s on the edens, its awesome. New M4 should have what you're looking for...

My complete & ideal dream car: a prestine E60 550 with a glorious V8; altgough preferably a 550xi with a manual gearbox is even more ideal of a match.
2nd favorite gen of the 5 series after the E39 gen.
It almost never breakers down.Just change your oil A little early and Ya.Straight pipes are mandatory on this car.Haha
and replace every gasket and seal in the motor but it's still worth it.
There's lots of this BMW 5-series in Poland. They're just everywhere. I'm so used to their exterior, but still wouldn't mind having one!
In my opinion I think e39 is more luxury but e60 has high end technology which is so complicated

Why is the idrive screen so small. Some other BMWs same year have bigger screens as in wider.
because this is the normal navigation no the pro navigation
depends on the car package, u can order car with smaller or bigger screen

it is in the menu, it has a whole diagnostic center for the user, i have one :D a 545i e60 chiptuned to 360+ hp

asif naseri almost all bmw's have the mpg thing, my 07 530i has it. Mostly higher end sport models came with oil temp gauges
