Good review but it is not the M sport version. It does not have the M sport body kit, neither the interior trims or sport steering wheel. Most likely comes with stock suspension as well, which in itself is nonetheless very good. Maybe another good point to mention is that despite the cluster only has a few gages, the redline on the rpm display moves once the engine oil heats up - clever feature and well integrated by BMW.
Wrong this is a 2006 BMW 550i sport. They didn't change the trim till 2008. They made this car only two years 06-07. Has the sport suspension the black trim and stock sport wheels. 275/35/18 rear and 245/40/18 up front. 2008 the changed to 19 inch wheels. 2007 was first year of sport wheel. Also the 2008 had sport trim. 2006 has older wheel design.
Have to agree with Tim here. Maybe this spec is promoted as ‘sport’ in the US but from a European point of view nothing suggests a sport or M spec. Standard styling rims, standard body trim, standard steering wheel. I drive a 2006 550i Touring, so know what I’m talking about. My car has factory fitted M rims and an M steering wheel but is also no sport version.
Yes it is. This is a 2006 BMW 550i sport model. 2008 they put the badge back on went to 19inch wheels and the body trim was added. 2006 also had a standard model with smaller tire width and chrome trim. This car is for sure a 2006 BMW 550i Sport.
@@jakrispy3005 2006 550i sport package came with the V shape wheel. Only it had silver trim on the wheel in 2006 the standard Trim did not have silver trim. I had a 2006 550i sport now I am driving a 2007 550i sport and it has the sport style wheel minus M badge but similar to 2008 M wheel. My 2007 has the comfort seats they are way better and Yes the Steering Wheel is better. Better Steering Wheel did not come out in USA until 2007. 2006 550i sport has of course the wider rims and tires black trim around the windows not chrome and I think they has stiffer and slightly lower shocks/struts. I replaced the front shocks/struts and there were two options I remember for sport and non sport. Hope that helps.
@@brandonlerman1540 that makes sense actually because the V shaped wheel does look different than the hundreds of 530 or 535 v shaped wheels that I’ve seen that lack the silver trim. You must also be right about the m badge. It seems that steering wheel wise, 2007 was a bridging year that had the cool new sport wheel that was different than the 2006 but it also lacked a badge like the 2008. How do you like your 550?
Carson Tadevich I need something faster than a 335i so 😂 but I don’t think I’m even gonna get one because it’s my first car cost a lot to maintain and things.
Kentucky BassinYT either mod the 335 a little bit because that engine can handle way more power and it’s stock 300 and it boosts or if you can’t afford maintenance get a wrx and tune that

I hated the valve stem problem. Had a 2007 550i and that was the reason I got rid of it
