Is there anything better than Crispy Potato Wedges? These are seriously delicious and make the perfect snack, side, or appetizer! I like to oven bake my potato wedges to make sure they are crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside. For this recipe I've gone with a classic seasoning made with paprika and garlic powder, but the options are really endless! Serve them up all on their own or enjoy with my absolutely delicious chipotle ketchup!!!

Over the past year, I've faced some significant challenges on the home front. Balancing the demands of raising two small children while managing chronic migraines has proven to be more challenging than I anticipated. Unfortunately, the toll on my health has led me to experience tremendous burnout, and after much reflection, I've had to make the difficult decision to pause my video production for the time being.
I want to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible support you've shown me throughout this journey. Your kind words, encouragement, and enthusiasm for The Domestic Geek have been a constant source of inspiration for me. It truly warms my heart to know that my videos have brought joy and value to your lives.
Please know that this decision was not made lightly, and I am navigating these challenges with the well-being of my family as my top priority. I am taking this time to focus on my health and to be fully present for my little ones during these important years.
While I may be stepping back from creating content for now, I want you to know that I am not saying goodbye. I hope to return to making videos when the time is right, and I am able to give you the quality content you deserve.

Ok I made these two days in a row the best best wedges I ever made. I’ve been eating them so much I did not comment till now. Air fried ten min at 360 then 10 at 390. Perfect creamy texture inside nice crust outside. Ty ty ty
Whenever we have chicken, my husband always prefers for me to make potato wedges. This recipe is by far the best one I’ve tried and the seasoning combination is perfect. Before it was called glamping, my dad brought the satellite dish and turkey fryer to the church canoe trip. So many fries were made, we were giving some out to other campers. This just reminded of that.
Tip: (learned this from doing brussel sprouts this way) place everything in a ziplock type bag and massage/mix it that way. You can shake it up, massage the bag exterior and keep hands clean😊

If you want to replicate KFC wedges, you’ll need to look up battered potato wedges. They are coated in a thin batter and deep fried.
@@gregorywallace7614 didn’t they always have fries? i’m confused. i don’t remember kfc having wedges. i’m in canada, if that makes a difference
Potato Wedges are our most favourite "we want something yummy but are way too lazy to cook"-recipe... But I never bothered drying them, which I now totally will! Thanks for the tip!
Haha, same in my house!! Drying them definitely helps them get extra crispy!!
Tbh it's more work than regular fried potatoes. So definitely not a lazy recipe. This recipe takes same effort as making some dumplings/chebureki.
My most lazy recipe is probably "penne" or any type pasta with "taco meat", cheese, champignons and tomato sauce, 10mins and ready.

I'm too lazy; when I do potato wedges, I line a grill with parchment paper and turn on the top and bottom heat elements in my toaster oven (i.e. put it on the 'toast' setting) and they come out crispy on both sides without the need for flipping them half way through!

Been doing the same thing for a while now. I use a Cajun spice blend for mine; but still a great way to make wedges.

A good trick to season your wedges without getting your hands dirty is to put the wedges in a plastic bag with the oil and the seasoning. Close the bag. Then shake the bag and make it so that the oil and the seasoning are nicely distributed on the potatoes.

Made a very similar batch last night.
Still used Russet potatoes. But instead of wedges (the sharp edges tend to scorch before the rest of the potato is done) I cut them into fairly thick slabs - just under 1 cm (they shrink in the oven). Before baking, I put them in boiling water for 7 minutes or so to make them fluffy on the inside. Be careful as they'll be fragile. Let them cool and dry them off. Then coat them in EVOO, salt, pepper, and seasonings. Then put them in a 430 degree oven for about 40 minutes or so, flipping once.
Perfect.

This is one of my family favorite comfort foods. Definitely will try it especially the dipping sauce. I always find my myself with a couple of conundrums when come to bake French fries or potato wedges. Should olive oil be used since they are baked at high temperature? Salt should be added before or after baking. Some said if salt is added before baking, it will draw the moisture out and result in soggy wedges or fries. I would like to hear from you, Sara. I made them with the potatoes sold at Aldi ("Premium Gold by Alsum Farms). DELICIOUS! Had to make myself stop eating them and store the rest for another day! 🥔😊

There are very young children who cook as well so being almost 13 is not too young to cook. You are more than capable to follow instructions and copy them with success.

if you've not tried them~ they're pretty good!! i made some out of a single potato i had laying around xo ,, just make sure not to cut wedges too thin ~,w,~ mine got a bit burnt .. not a lot but a teensy bit for me - ,n - !! I'll also probably both, flip them more evenly , 15mins on each side, and also look for a more,, or should i say, less... oblong potato @w@ hehe,, also! im not sure if i didn't cook the skin side down long enough (so they didn't get more burnt) so the skin was a bit, earthy on some ~•~ but other than those things ill try next time, these were yummy=w= !!

this looks Amazing I have French frie seasoning so I don't have to add this to my potatoes and the seasoning my mom favorite seasoning was using Acc'ent to her fish.I like to use old Bay seasoning a kosher salt and pepper red pepper 🌶 flakes and parsley and baked 😀 it.
