Thanks bud! I purchased a new set of Avon grips for my 2016 Fat Boy and the FBW grip was sticking something fierce. I loosened up the entire assembly and bumped it out a hair, now it's perfect!
Thank you for this video! I was having the sticky throttle issue with my 2011 Road Glide Ultra CVO and your video helped me solve the problem. Most likely saving a life! Sticky throttle is bad news. Appreciate you!
Also for anyone else having these issues locate the throttle friction screw on the underside of your throttle and make sure it’s backed out (I have an 04 sportster and it solved my issue zero tools needed)
Thanks for the vid, may try that, bought new grips off of ebay installed then and the throttle open ok but now it won't snap back. One of two things, what you mentioned in your video or the cleap Chinese grips are to thick around when the housing pulled together.
I'm currently having the same issue (ebay grips as well). There is JUST enough of a delay before my new grips snap back to zero to where it is noticeable. Just enough of a snag to grab my attention. I'll try this remedy first.
My mother died 3 weeks ago when she learning to drive my dad's 2018 road king trike. She was driving it all morning and then out of nowhere it took of and she lost control right in front the house. After everything we noticed the throttle was sticking open and it wasn't damaged when she was thrown off the bike as the bike rolled easily to a stop with absolutely no damage.
I’m sorry to hear about your loss. I posted this video because I had a frightening moment when my fiancé and I were riding a canyon road and my throttle got stuck and I almost went off the road. I can say that what I did to correct the sticky throttle has continued to work and only just a month ago started to feel it again and I actually had to go back and watch my own video to remember how to fix it. Best wishes to you and your family

This worked for 2020 Sport Glide in 2023. Thanks.
