I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you! I was having trouble not being able to reset my TPS codes and one of your trouble spots was the problem! The ECM connector was not making a good connection. Evidently when I replaced my battery I must not have snapped the locking clamp fully and it loosened up. Great video for troubleshooting this issue
Good information. My bike went into limp mode with the engine light and would not accelerate, just idle. I never changed the handle bars (2013) Street Glide.

Had a p1510 & p2138 code that wouldn't clear on my 08 Ultra. Pulled the throttle body plug apart behind the air filter, put some die-electric grease on it, put it back together, codes and engine light cleared a went off.

Thank you, I had the same issue. I stalled on the freeway and couldn't clear the ECM code and rode the bike home with a rough idle. I watch your video, re-seated the emc connectors and was able to clear the codes. readjusting my connections under the seat now.

I was having an issue with the throttle by wire and it ended up being a issue with the throttle body/ entire fuel injection system. Was able to replace that whole unit behind the air filter there for $250 about oem from Harley and it fixed my problem.
The connector in the bars also corrodes causing problems , the S E twist grip sensor does not have the connector and has longer wire , or you could cut the connector out and solder longer wire on insulated well . Some times you can unplug and plug in the throttle body connector 2-3 times and it gets better contact , if thats the problem . The ecm plugin , if you noticed has a bunch of pins , easy to bend , fold over and break , or bend over and short circuit . I used the S E twist grip sensor when I put LA chopper 10" twin peaks on 08 ultra the wire reached all the way to the plugin with just a little slack left . I also bought a spare throttle body off a 2010 wreck , they had a video of it running , out side of the injectors and map sensor , the electronic part of the throttle body is not repairable , its a throw away .
just installed new 12 inch yaffes on my UC. Everything works except no throttle. Codes P1510 and P2138. Was wired by HCC, who do it for a living so, I really don't think it's an internal wire issue. I will certainly check those 2 recommendations when I get home today. Thanks

I'm wondering if my Ultra Classic has the same problem. What happens is I'll be riding down the road and suddely the engine goes to idle and the throttle will not increase rpm. So I pull over to the shoulder of the road ,restart my bike and it seems normal. But then it happens again in a few miles. Also I've noticed my engine light coming on for about 10 seconds when I start the bike. Thanks for the video. I'm going to check all the areas you mentioned here.
How you doing did you fix your problem on your bike having the same problem already change the connector plug all in the air filter and it's still doing the same thing do you have any ideas what can you do
@@walteralvarado3640 I had a new throttle sensor installed by a mechanic friend. He charged me 300 dollars parts and labor. If you want to do it yourself you can find that part on Amazon, I think.

I believe what I am experiencing is due to the limp mode issue with eratic idling, losing throtle connection when I hit a bump, etc. Anyways, I have another issue where I turn on my ignition and I do not have power, intermittently. I may see the lights flicker and then no power. It seems that I don't have a complete circuit with the ignition. I do have a new battery and I have checked all fuses and relays. I'm wondering if the issue you are describing you are having with the ECM connection also had you not able to close the circuit when you turn on th ignition. I get it to close the circuit after I bounce on the seat a few times which is why I thought of the ECM connection, maybe not closing the loop. Thanks in advance!

“Die” electric grease is not it. You want an actual conductive grease to use.

That's a clean ride man. I disconnected and cleaned the ecu and cable by the air intake and the bus we went away and started right up

I would look for a twin cam which is a 2000 and newer model.
I have a 2010 road king classic and I had the same problem that throttle response I have none it will idle but it won’t have no throttle

Throttle by wire? Considering there are no wires on your throttle and the bike is fuel injected, I think you mean electronic throttle.
The wire is on the twist grip sensor and electronically sends signal
