I have not played in a few weeks so not sure if they broke something or not with tracking but finding footprints to start tracking has been "broken" since forever it feels like. I am pretty sure every player only leaves like 5-6 sets of footprints(each set has about 3-4 steps) and they leave these sets of prints every couple of meters with gaps between but since each player only gets 5-6 sets of them, if the player is travelling this means the oldest sets of steps gets replaced by the newer ones so if you are looking for footprints to start tracking you need to be almost RIGHT BEHIND them otherwise they just poof out of existence as the player moves further away. But if you start tracking them from fresh footprints or blood then you can track them almost forever seemingly as long as they stay somewhat "in the area". There are a couple of things to keep in mind when you have started tracking: 1. Prints you are tracking seems to be tied to your range of smell and/or very close proximity to them(even without smelling you can find the next tracks if you get close enough). This means that you can see the glowing tracks from much further away if you stand still and smell for a while since this also extends the range you can smell things. In other words if you are tracking someone smelling and moving at the same time does not give you a very long range to see the tracks and it is often better to stop every now and then to smell so you can see the tracks from further away.... this is also why Cerato is a very good tracker, they can smell things from very far away so they will also see prints they are tracking further away with less time standing still smelling. 2. If you are tracking someone and they crouch/sneak you will lose track of them. If they roll in mud you will also lose the track. I suspect the Teno you were trying to track via blood but could not find any tracks to follow did this, that group seemed to like rolling in mud. 3. aaaand yes sometimes the tracking just seems very odd and non-functional for no reason.

I hope you are right. I love to play troodon but finding a good pack is difficult. Best to be played in VC so you can coordinate but still fun with good players.

@@9-Rapter-9 sry, saw it late yeah, there is a way between swamp and south plains which only takes about 5 minutes. from the south plains, you have to walk in between the two domes to the east. you can't miss it this way
Oh! Do you know of red belled-black snakes? They're beautiful and very venomous, but have a timid, peaceful temperament and only attack people if cornered (I nearly stepped on a big one by accident and even then instead of biting me it just slithered away.) Your troodon's beautiful colours reminds me of them :) Trying to comment more often to boost you on the algorithm, I just worry about saying the same thing over and over
no, I didn't know this snake. just googled it an it looks gorgeous awe, thx. yeah, comments help a lot, but, no pressure and no worry, I repeat myself also quite often in me comments

@@morganribs yeah, they deactivated the weather recently. I guess, because of server performance. it's an alpha and as such, it will always feature some things and some are disabled for a while again. but no worry, storms will come back

no, I never play on the NA (US) server. sadly I have a very bad ping there. I always play on EU1-7, I have different dinos on them. but yeah, many people told me meanwhile, that another mombie played with them. must be even more people, because some told me the fake mombie was very nice and acted friendly as I do. but, others told me they got backstabbed by a guy names mombie. he 2called and killed them later on. some mates even told me they stop watching me vids, because I killed them, even if I never met them for real it's strange to me that others pretend to be me. I mean, I saw videos with fake gamingbeavers before. but, come on, beaver is beaver and I am just a little youtuber ^^
no need for sorry. I want people to be relaxed and have a good time. not to be in hurry. so, whenever you have time and enjoy me vids, I am happy and I will welcome you anytime ♥

@@YannickHienle honestly, there are quite a few around. many people told me already they played with me, even if I didn't. some "fake" mombies are friendly as far as I got told. a few are quite the opposite to make me look bad. I already had people who told me they don't like me anymore, because I was such an a...hole when they played with me (fake mombie). so, I hope yours was at least one of the friendly ones

not only blood. there were no tracks at all. I scent the entire area and no tracks. 4 tenos and not a single track somewhere ^^
