They say it is, probably the detection mechanism checks that abnormal activity occurs continuously for an unusual period of time to reduce false positives.
This is a good device. Can you please share the complete technical literature and where to buy?also how to buy online for Pakistan. Is delivery in other countries
This is for protection of the normal domestic home only. Commercial and industrial properties will have a team of maintenance looking after the wiring from day to day. This doesn't happen in the home so this device is that equivalent. Very clever breakers.
The AFCIs are getting slowly into buildings in Europe, but I do expect 3-phase AFCIs to show up eventually in next years. Very useful both in residential and commercial applications.
@@mrjones29 Most houses and appartments in Europe do have 3 phases available, so that a lot of small workshops. A 3 phase AFCI would definitively be useful and recommended in many situations.
Thats sick background music, that piano is the real fire
lol yeas
I worked with this idea 10 years back, and one of the detecting parameters was a specific arc generated radio frequency.
great video, with genuinely helpful animations , thank you
Great video 👍 appreciate your sharing 🙏
Very interesting
Is this immune to switching sparks or to ballast starter sparks etc?

Any chance for 5mA GFCIs? Also what is difference between type A and type AC sensitivity modes?
Wow, this is a very important thing. I suggest you research it but one of them a simple phone charger can stop it working.
Great
How it works with relay? Its react on switching?
Do you have AFCI for 240 volts?
Interesting that Eaton device doesn't actually work. Has been tested by John Ward for example.
On his own calibrated improper test rig it’s a carbon to copper arc it has to have carbonisation
Does it work for DC current?
Thanks
How much price in Bangladesh?
What song?
Sounds somewhat like Molby
what is the standard of this device?
It depends on where you live, but this is a European model approved to European standards which are IEC and bsen
WHAT COST OF AFDD
large
this device is for single phase can we used for three phase any device for this situtation
Astrit Mexhuani siemens said currently there is no AFD for multiphase system

While arc detection sounds good it is good sound installations that are needed, in France most older property has outdated and unsafe installations.
