In an interview, Lindemann once said that the one most recurring theme of Rammstein is love and that you can find it in almost every song of theirs. In some more perverted, in some more vulnerable, I guess.

Yeah, it's true, the making of is great. Maybe you could try, Detrucci, unless you think like Flake, who don't like them because he feels the magic goes off if you see how the videos are made 😉
As a fun fact, I remembered that Till has a T-shirt with the face of Flake that appears at 1:14 of your video, with the phrase "Das Dinge" (The Thing) 🤣

I was there for this was incredible like Till was so angry though threw his microphone and ran off off stage cause wasn't any sound in his microphone 🙈, was amazing version though.

Just for context :during Mutter Album they almost split up especially because of the video for Mutter, after touring they don't want to shoot the video because they were tired so they wanted to shoot it later, everyone was in vacation and the only one still available was Till so he did the video alone even though they agreed to do it together as always, the rest of the band was let's say not amused about it, the video for "ohne dich" portraits the theme we are a unit, we can't do it without each other,watch the making of for "Mutter" and "Ohne dich" ( you can watch it private) it has englisch subtitles you will understand it and see the interpretation of the band and you will see if they really climb up the mountain 😉
Next one should be "Haifisch" Official Video because it's linked to it like part 3, the video is amazing and a blessing for Fans.

@@Detrucci Before Haifisch, you should see Du hast, Amerika, Sonne and Keine Lust videos because just like Ohne Dich, Haifisch linked to those. There are flashbacks to them. It could be my favorite video. And I like the lyrics of haifisch as well. Look at the chorus:

No the reason they almost split up during Mutter was not because of the video. No one else wanted to do the video so he had to do it alone, even though he didn't want to.. It was their choice not to do it. They didn't want to do it because there was a lot of bad feeling between them after the making of the album as Richard tried to take full control during the creation of Mutter. He barely allowed anyone else to have a say. That's what caused the problems. They've discussed it in depth in a few interviews.
@@101frustrations you're right, sorry for the misunderstanding, I just saw a interview where there speak a little bit about it. They also said after finishing the Album Richard began a therapy to solve the control issue of his. Thank you for correcting me 🙏🏻

You need to react to "seemann" it is a really powerfull song yet so calming and slow
Seemann was the song that got mum to like Rammstein when she was 50, something. Prior this, she complqines of the harsh music I listened to, but one day, listening to Rammstein while doing my homework, Seemann came on. Halfway through the song, I noticed mum standing in the door to my room with a contemplative expression on her face. When the song was done, she sighed and just said "that was beautiful... who was it?"
She was rather surprised to hear it was the very same brutal, angry group she'd complained of, had created something she found something relateable in.
Mum is now 74, and still enjoy Rammstein.

You should give Roter Sand (red sand) a listen. Also a nice track where Till shows that he can sing and not only growl as deep as he does in so many songs.

AFAIK the meaning of that video is that nobody will make it back. They have to chose between leaving Till behind where he fell or take take him to the top. But dragging him to the top means that the others burn so much energy that they won't suvive as well.
Whatever they go through, they go through together until the end. Its a beautiful message also

I read about this carving that it's meant as a memorial made from his tin plate when the others knew they had to leave him behind. I don't know whether this is actually based on a real habit or story of mountaineers or made up for this video. My guess is it's a known practice or otherwise nobody would get the reference. Whatever it is it's hard-breaking just to think about it.
Ohh, thats so sad. Good on them for putting it in the video for people to find out and understand what it is though. It brings in the reality of the situation

There is an acoustic version with full orchestra by second great band of Germany "Die toten Hosen".
acoustic version by accident when most of the main power went out at a Vienna show. ( during Sonne they lost the microphones) .. this is multi-shot versos using lots of fan footage ... Till was a little frustrated ..at the first chorus where he is supposed to sing ' Weh mir oh Weh Und die Vögel singen nicht mehr' ( woe to me and the birds are no longer singing) he substitutes the line with 'Weh mir, oh weh, und hier gibt's kein Strom mehr!' Barring the most recent tour, this track usually is acoustic, verging on a capella, when they perform it! This last tour, Ohne Dich was 'normal' and Engel was the acoustic (with full grand piano and sing along lyrics for the audience).

You just listened to one of the only Rammstein songs that actually sounds like well spoken Hochdeutsch (high german; equivalant to Oxford English in BE). All the other songs use a kind of german language that was only used in theaters which hightens certain constants (the rolled 'r').
This song is so beutifull. I love this video. You don't need understand langue to understand meaning this music. I would like to see acustic version of this song (maybe You can play it?). It was very good reaction. 🙂

Rammstein can be funny, brutal...and heartbreaking, one more argument to say that it's an awesome band.
This video is not full of fx and fire, but still an awesome video.
You really have to do one thing now you saw Ohne dich: watch "Du hast", "Keine lust" (one of my favorite song!!!!), "Amerika". When you watched those official videos you can watch "Haifisch".
I don't want to spoil you why you have to do it. the order is not important EXCEPT for Haifisch, really important to watch it after the others.

Mutter and Ohne dich are "sister songs" only in the sense that they were written al the same time for the Mutter album, even though, Ohne dich was released 3 years later in Reise Reise, if you want to listen an accoustic Rammstein song, look for the studio version of Los from Reise Reise (there is also the "full band version", that is a b-side released recently), they also played it live in the 2004-2005 tour, but with a Flake solo and an electric ending, that live performance was released in a live DVD (Völkerball) but apparently that song isn't on RUclips :/ if you want to watch a preview of show from 2005, watch this ruclips.net/video/3b4szXcRFcs/видео.html
