    I bought a Predator back in 2002 for $100 usd. They are way over priced now.

    Just started but appreciate the GX2 praise. Soleplate could def be stiffer instead of “cheese” 😂

    Imo there’s just no excuse for the pricing of these companies and I’m going to continue to happily buy my boots from discounts and bids off eBay. Forget straight from brand, forget retailers.

    A great shout for me, on boots that I thought would be GREAT but were honestly terrible, was basically any of the Nike Tech Craft boots (GT & Superfly V come to mind). A boot I thought I would hate but ended up loving were the Puma Future 1.3. Thought all the hype around how it fit was gimmick, but turned out to be very good! 🤘
    Great review as always my doods!

      Thanks for watching. Future is so up and down I never know what to expect, sometimes you get bangers and sometimes you get ass! TC should be better that's true, there's a couple of good versions but not many it seems

    I’ve had every New Balance Tekela except for V3 and I loved every single one of them, I dabble with other brands such as the Adler, Mercurial and predator and I got to say that the V4/V4+ Tekelas are just so comfortable and so connected to the ball that I always find my way back to them, New Balance have been making some really good soccer cleats and I’m glad that they have been on this arch of just improvements (except for the V3) and I look forward to the Tekela V5

      The Tekela V4 low is incredible, have to agree with you there. And also the V3 is absolute ass. Probably in my top 2 most hated boots of all time.

      New balance are stupid comfortable. Low to the ground and not shallow feeling in the heel area. Bought some premier 3 and was super disappointed 😔 cause my right Achilles to flare up.

      @@BootWizard that's awesome to hear. If they have an AG model I would try, the stud pattern seems aggressive to me. I usually play on ag. I'm also a leather snob, my boots have to have some leather 😅
      I'm waiting on a pair of yatagarashu right now. Hopefully that's my last boot I feel I have to buy. I still need to try Morelia 2 mij though 😅

    awesome podcast as usual! a couple of questions for u guys.
    1. When do you feel like a boot should be replaced? I have a Future 5.1 which i love, and there is a slight sole separation on the heel only.
    2. How far back is a boot still playable? For example i found on the resale the EvoPower Vigor1, which is a fantastic boot but is 7-8 years old now.

      Nice one. I've ordered a pair to try along with the socks. Not the thin compression as I've got falke's that do a fantastic job. Soles were discounted at time of buying, and used your code - £10, so a massive thanks to you

    Great podcast! I have a question. Is it worth investing on a HG soleplate boot over anything else? Are they the same as AG or are they completely different?

    • @BootWizard
      @BootWizard  6 месяцев назад +1

      HG Soleplates are different. They are good for AG though and not a bad investment

    You guys ever thought about how the big brands basically gave us a year or so of pure filler content. Pred edge and arguably the accuracy, copa pure, the GX, the future...all complete revamps from what came before and totally scrapped for the new models (which are a lot more similar to what came before the above named above boots 👀)

    • @BootWizard
      @BootWizard  6 месяцев назад +1

      Copa Pure for sure, there's not exactly a big change there, with the Preds I think that's just the direction they were going at the time, you could argue filler since 18 to now if you wanted, I think they were at least individual boots. And to be fair I think the GX2 is a natural evolution of the 1, I don't really view the GX as filler. Especially considering how good it was, I do with they'd sort the tooling though. Puma, for sure you could call everything filler 😂😂

    • @dky555
      @dky555 6 месяцев назад

      @@BootWizard such a change from say the Freak to the Edge only to go to the Accuracy which looked like the natural successor to the Freak. Just seems that way with a few silos for me. Like they weren't ready for the next step so threw out a makeshift product to bide their time. Definitely agree with Puma tho. Such a fall off 👎🏻

    • @BootWizard
      @BootWizard  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@dky555 I have advocated for a 2 year cycle on boots for a while. I think that would really help this a lot.
