I bought one of these. I got the improved version and it works like a charm. Love it. Cant wait to use it again. I tried using nuts and bolts like some of the videos on youtube but they were a lot harder to use and the bolt heads would wind up stripping. I don't have access to a machine shop so I can't make one. Well worth the money.
@@juliodavid49 Thanks for the quick reply. I was just on their site and only seen one that looked exactly like the one in the video. Not sure what was better about it? But it only came in 1 metric size. It would need to be able to do multiple sizes to be useful for me unfortunately.
If you plan on using a nut and bolt you need a grade 8 nut and bolt. Grade 8 nuts and bolts are made from much better quality steel and are a lot stronger than the garden variety nuts and bolts offered. Most actual hard ware stores carry Grade 8 hardware.
A good question - and i guess the point is IF you could you would not... but based on the sales we have there are a lot of people that have neither the time or the equipment at their disposal. Answer me this - have you ever purchased a burger or sandwich from the shop ? but they only take 2 minutes to make at home....

I made one similar to this the other day. I fitted a thrust bearing for the nut to turn on, and different sized inserts for the different nut sizes.
Put loctite on the outside will help it working loose, nice vid thanks
