When the raccoons were still there in the morning with their trapped buddy that was sweet
it was a baby, and the other baby was worried. raccoons are intelligent animals and this will end in a dead baby raccoon if its mom doesnt find it. its too young to survive alone.

Shawn inside the cage is some of the best youtube I have seen in awhile. I was excited about this video because I trap a lot of nuisance raccoons, probably 50 to 100 each year. I was hoping to see the repeater system catch multiples because the only time I have ever caught multiple raccoons is when 2 babies go into a havahart trap together. Even if I set multiple traps you never get more than one from the group each night. Raccoons are just way too smart and skittish. Great video Shawn!

It is fun seeing different options. 50 to 100 raccoons is an awful lot of raccoons are you a professional trapper?

How do I find what to do about raccoons?
I have a soft spot for raccoons. We have none here and when I was a kid someone gave me a small stuffed raccoon. I STILL HAVE IT! I remember crying when I thought I lost it during a family trip. Needed to draw them when you asked in the other video xD Hope you all enjoyed it too!

I once had a raccoon problem but trapping and relocating was not an option. So I rigged up a motion sensor to be activated at night whenever a raccoon would pass by. The triggered motion sensor would set off a pair of lights along with the sound of a barking dog. It proved to be very effective in preventing them from coming on the property. It was also effective against the neighbors cats and other nuisance animals

God yea i was like “oh crap i hope the skunk cant climb up!” I think it was too scared of the raccoons though since it was outnumbered and maybe couldnt climb up. What a nightmare it wouldve been if he accidentally caught one!

Of course the skunk could climb up the wire mesh of the trap. That trap could be very effective for skunks, but not wise, because no spray protection.
fyi, use a covered trap to catch skunks. they won't spray if they cant see you.

I am still having a huge rat problem the rat is getting bigger than an house cat,poison don't affect them anymore and trap is useless they always find a loop hole on it,did you have any suggestion of how to get rid of the rat that was imunne and smart??

Shawn I enjoy watching the raccoons on the deck. We have a wild cat "Fred" that we feed on the deck to keep the snakes and rat population down. What ever Fred doesn't eat the raccoons eat at night. We don't experience any problems from them so I have no need to remove them. I've had 7 out there at one time but that's rare, 3-5 is more the normal. I would encourage anyone to adopt a Fewell cat to keep around the house. It's the cheapest prevention you'll ever have.

What happens if the raccoons and a skunk gets caught in that trap together? Would that turn into a fight to the death? I am thinking of the video of the mouse and rats ending up in the same trap overnight and a rat eating one of the mice. Not saying the raccoon would eat the skunk or vice versa but would there be a gigantic fight?

Using multiple standard have-a-heart traps look to be a better option, for most people. They are easier to move, once you capture a raccoon. It is easy to trap with multiple traps, just bait and set. They are simple, available and well known and understood.

The skunk was tryna fight the racoons😂
Raccoons tore up my porch, so I got this trap. Used corn as bait, and basically feed them for two weeks. We caught seven, and released them in an uninhabited wetland area (awesome raccoon habitat) a few miles away. No raccoons have returned for nine months now.
Once you pull the pin, you must be prepared to move and release right away. I put a piece of heavy plywood under the trap to facilitate lifting it as the trap is bulky and heavy when full of raccoons.
This thing was difficult to assemble and instructions were quite skimpy. Still, happy with the purchase.
I like the skunk who photo bombs the raccoon video. He doesn't just do it once but twice.
