Going back and watching this after several months with the S7, and I'm here to tell you that the Bluetooth will save your life in the event of some kind of catastrophic failure. Twice I've had computer/Serato issues and was able to quickly pair my phone to keep the music going while I sorted them out.
Remember that NAMM is usually at this time each year, so expect tons of nice new shiny stuff this week.

I'm a full vinyl Dj. But sometimes I use Serato. Wich mixer is the best for me ? Pioneer Djm S7 or Rane 70 ?
The Rane 70 is better, more robust & has a better audio card. The faders are excellent for scratching, should you decide to chose that route. But Pioneer has better effects. Do your own personal research.

Are you able to go into settings with this mixer, and adjust the cut in points with the cross fader so that the sound is instantaneous as soon as you move the fader??
I don't see the trim/filter placement as a drawback. it eliminates the same type of mistakes that the input switch corrects versus a knob
I’m a house , techno Dj . Is the sound quality on this mixer better then the old djm 900 nexus mixer ? , was going to get the 900 nexus 2 , but I need a mixer that can cut quick & effects that I can use on hip hop , latin music ect , for my mobile gigs , because that’s what my customer want .
I would say eventually get both. I use a 900SRT with an Innofader pro but going this route can save you a grand.

How your ch fader, I just got mine not even a year ago and I broke both of them after like 7 months of use. I kinda regret buying this looking to get s11, I’m tried keep on replacing the channel fader, ( not happy with it)

What are the Parameter 1 buttons under the FX Banks for (outside of MIDI mapping)?
Great deal of features and it appears that they skimmed out on the up faders (unlike the Rane 70) for a less quality one. With that said, plenty of advance features....something to think about.
Certainly for the price! Like we say, the key areas that matter to a scratch DJ are up there with the best

Awesome Mixer BTW I have a question recently I Bought the numark NS7III it came With serato pro however I'm not a fan of serato software but I'm trying to get used to it, my question is: is there any way that I can remap the pad modes buttons? what I mean is every pad button has a double mode function I want to remap the pad buttons for a single function is there any way that I can do that?

You can tell me please if is the same dimension of s9? i asked because already have decksaver and pioneer bag for the s9
Bag will fit but Dexksaver won’t
The footprint is identical to the S9 and will fit in the same case or bag. But the top configuration is different so your decksaver will not work.
As these guys said, it's the same footprint but thanks to the new browse controls the deck saver won't fit

If I was you I’d start with a controller. Check out the pioneer ddj 400 or sb3 for good beginner ones 👍

i have high sierra and i just dj'd at a club that had the new s11 and it worked with no problems so I'm sure the s7 will work

Apparently the pads don't work without a laptop and CDJs in HID mode. Is that true?
The pads are to control DJ software running on a computer, not CDJ's. If you was to use CDJ's with this mixer, they would need to be in HID mode with the software to use the pads

what about audio quality gaps S7 vs S11?
They have different soundcards, but the S7 has a better sound quality compared with the S9.

The S11 has thesame soundcard as the nexus.. The S7 is a bit better than the S9 but not even close to the s11
The fact it’s £1300 approx to just have the load and toggle to avoid using a mouse with other DJMs is a bit of a let down! Am I missing something?

Pioneer S7 or Rane 70?
S7 all the way. Rane is now Numark so the built quality aint the same anymore
Rane 70 has definitely much better build quality than the S7, as well as better sound quality, better upfaders. It also has split cue and mic echo which the s7 do not. Although s7 feels cheap like a toy due the plastic material, its magvel fader shines out as it is butter smooth. It also has all the effects and pad functions of the s11 + midi loop. So it depends on your preferences and the prices you can find.
Another great thing about the Rane 70 is the 2 silent cue buttons that you can also assign to instant doubles (or sync I think). On the other hand it miss the Slicer pad mode compared to the s7 …
This is why i love my ddj1000...way too complicated for my little brain. Lol

To bad they skipped out on user replaceable line faders … this s a huge disadvantage considering the price … i would not recommend this mixer if you are a scratch or battle dj ..

This isn't an upgrade for the S9 though, that's the job of the S11. This is for people who can't afford or don't want the flagship S11
Sound quality, independent pad mode, scratch bank, ducking echo....the fact that for the price I sold my S9, I only have to spend $200 to get this.
@@bryanjonathanentertainment2524 s9 was the best mixer before s7 and s11. s7 has more plastic even up faders not marvel. don't get fooled by these little upgrades cos u will buy new dj gear every year. djs were doing amazing things with s9 before the upgrades. nothing changed that much
@@WazzyTV no one is telling anyone to upgrade. If you are happy with what you got, that's good. But if you like the independent and combo pad mode, the USB hub for CDJs, a crossfader stem that will last, and more hardware FX, then the S7 is a nice upgrade, for literally less than the price of a currently brand new S9.

@@DjGCue71 In 2021 Dj companies seem to have tons of solutions, in search of a problem.
@@DjGCue71 It's used for a line input so you can play content from a mobile through a channel on the mixer. Say you want to play from a beatlooper, or you're a mobile DJ and just want to have something streaming from your phone during cocktails... why is this worse than an AUX cable?
Handy for playing requests or having Spotify on between DJ sets

Soldered in channel faders into PCB board make this mixer unusable. Stay away from this mixer at all costs.
Honestly, I did not like your review. I saw this mixer yesterday and found it very disappointing, especially on the quality side.
